Hi,

I created a little MAnillaPAtcher. For example this tool is useful if you want start another calendar when clicking in TF3D on a entry.

this version is for Manila3D and Manila2D devices!

Currently implemented EXEs which can be changed:

calendar.exe
tmail.exe
WLANSettings.exe
poutlook.exe
OperaL.exe
Camera.exe

Click on Time
(Click on alarm)
Phone Settings
Bluetooth Settings

If you have further elements, that you would like to change, write it to me and I will test if I'm able to integrate them.

Using is simple:
-> Start application
-> Choose Configuration
-> Click 'Init' (The Application will now check which patches are available, and make a security backup if your manila. This can take some secoonds)
-> Choose the file you want to change, tick 'Patch' and enter your prefered file. Click on Save.
Note: The '$' in arguments is for using the original commandline from manila. You can enter some other arguments before of this, but not after!
-> Change to the next Tab and click on 'Deploy' (this can take some minutes)

Note for Rom Cookers:
You can add your own conifurations. Simply add a file named ssmapabaseconf_[smt].xml (for example ssmapabaseconf_ElviraROM.xml) in same folder as ssmapa is, and add there your manila configuration in following format:

You don't have to softreset your device, simply touch on today and the new manila.exe will start.

Theoretically you should get a warning for every changed file on executing it the first time, but only once. If something will ist not working, make sure your phone is fully applicationunlocked.

The Application doesn't need to be started again, it should work till the next hard-reset.


For all with UnauthorizedAccessException:
Try again with 'Extended Init' ticked. Unfortunatelly I don't have a such phone, and couldn't test if it's really working.. would be happy if you can give a small feedback.

If your files are signed, you're asked if you want to unsign them.
Please note, I didn't find a way to remove the signatures in a 'correct' way. I did an exe-based-deactivating. This is ok, as long as you don't want to resign them. If you want to resign them with your own certificate chose no and do it yourself.


I don't think that this tool is able to destroy something on the phone. Never mind, I'm not responsible for any damages.

Sample:
If you want the calendar to start in your favorite view and not in Agendaview, enable patch on calendar.exe an simply remove '$' from arguments.

the supported apps are those which are default integrated in manila.exe. you have to provide me that functions you want to replace...

if the destination exe is not in a shellpath folder you have to type the whole path.
this looks smt like this: /program files/agenda one/agenda one.exe

notice the forward slashs ('/') and the beginning slash.

choos calendar, enable patch, type the path in new program and maybe you have to add to the working dir /program files/agenda one/...

if you have further errors, give me the exact error message, then I will have a look on it..

The big one for me would be to have the Audio player section start CorePlayer rather then the built in HTC Player.

And if you could somehow make the FF/RW/Play buttons on the HTC handsfree (RC E100) control, control CorePlayer rather than the built in app then you would be my unconditional hero. :)

ugly. don't know exactly where the problem is... Try version 0.1.1 with alternative init activated. If it's not working you'll have a problem with device security or a better protected manila.exe..

I don't use coreplayer personally. but if I find some time, I will do a try... I could already start the wmplayer, but it wasn't playing anything. The Problem is that audiomanager_eng.exe is very hardcoded in manila.. Also the interfaces are not exactly definded.

I unfortunatelly dont have a rc e100, so its a little bit difficile..

Thanks for this. I got Agenda One to be my default calendar with a bit of messing about.

I just needed to put the full path to my app

/internal storage/program files/agenda one/agenda one.exe

and the full path in the working directory

/internal storage/program files/agenda one/

and it all worked fine. No more rubbish MS calendar! I will post you a donation.

i tried to change the standard calender to thumbcal, and it worked but the settings where not there and can´t be changed (like theme and language etc.) and the menus where messed up... i put the the path name in both work dir and in program.. any ideas?

Great App. Using WebIS PocketInformant and would like to add the contacts/calendar icons. However, they both use the same .exe with a different extension. Does anyone know where the program icons are stored so I can find out the extension that call the programs?

yes you can: Take the element Click on Time and put the path to the alarmsoftware in.

i tried to get thumbcal in a similar state.. but I didn't success.. I put in wrong working path, wrong argument, no arguments, arguments.. but it was always displaying correct...

I wasn't aware of the shortcuts, thats a nice tip (its my first win mobile). A better file dialogue would be nice, but its ok now that I know about the copy/paste shortcuts. :)

you loose max. 5,3 MB. When you delete the /windows/SSMaPa folder you get about 2,6 MB back.
I don't think that it is possible, but I also haven't tried yet...

I am fully with you: want to use my PocketInformant and flexmail 4 with the diamond. I have managed to open flexmail in the email and sms tab, by touching the edit buttons, pocketAlarm by taping on the clock, and PocketInformant by clicking on the calender (on the home screen, below the clock).

Is there still some progress going on with SSMaPa? If so, please:
- load the old settings (not throw them away each time you start this great app.)
- use a different, better file browser for the target file (or at least introduce Past & Copy.

I managed to set tmail.exe to flexmail, but if i push on the email directly, poutlook will still open :( There must be a way to redirect it... mayby rename poutlook.exe and create a link to the 'correct' exe?

Same for Favorites: touching the picture opens contact (the wm one), not PI contact.

if you want to 'subclass' each of this functions, you have to write for every destination app an own wrapper.
This application was written mainly for the calendar.. any other things are untested and additional features..

I don't have the time to program 12 hours a day for this application, I'm sorry.

The tool seems to be very cool to change the home screen in the way you want it, if you tap on clock or an appointment. That´s 100% what I was searching for!

I have PI working ok on my HTC...I think that the the inputs have to be "case sensitive".....I have..... \Internal Storage\Program Files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PocketInformant.exe

Hello and thank you for this great program. I managed to run PI8 as my agenda and SpbClock.

However, before applying the patch, after a soft reset TF3D would start by itself. Now it stops at the "Touch this to start TF3d" prompt, and I actually have to click on it to get it started.

Any idea what can cause this and how it can be circumvented?

In PI...go...menu/my Informant/roles-views-features and scroll down to default Calender, Tasks(if you wish) and Contacts and tick the box if you wish them to be your default applications...and then save on the way out.

I would manage to replace the calendar item at the first touch flo 3d screen. If i follow the rules i could but after restart of 3d, i get a exception error telling me that agenda fusion causes a problem with windows mobile should the report send to ms or not. And this happens with following parameters

Excellent tool - does just what I've been hoping for!

A quick question if I may, I would like for the 'Time click' to function as per the 'Alarm click' function - i.e. clicking on either will bring up the alarm setting page - is this possible?

The 'Time click' default is listed as cplmain.cpl,16,0 - how would I change this to match the 'Alarm click' setting of cplmain.cpl,16,1 ? I've tried specifying the cplmain.cpl file from /Windows, and putting 16,1 in the arguments (or as part of the command line) but with no joy...

Is this possible?

Edit: Having now done a Full Restore it would appear that the default action when clicking on the Time or Alarm is to bring up the last-used page of the 'Clock & Alarms' page... so perhaps I was imagining that clicking on the alarm brought up its specific page...? If so, please disregard my ramblings...

Hmmm... Not wishing to be too hasty with assuming the cause of this observation but it would appear that since installing SSMaPa (modifying only the calendar click) I've found that pressing-and-holding my 'End Call' button doesn't always functions as expected. It is set to switch to/from vibrate however on occasion I have found it acts like the 'right' button! (i.e. in TF3D is goes to the next tab, for example)

Of course, you may be thinking I'm being fat-fingered and accidentally pressing the right-hand edge of the central ring however I can confirm I am not, and I can also confirm that as soon as I did a restore within SSMaPa my press-and-hold End Call button behaved correctly once more.

Again, it could've been coincidence and the symptoms seemed to be intermittent so it's kind of difficult to pinpoint with certainty but I thought I'd mention it in case it rang any bells with anyone else.

This is a good tool - after years of using Pocket Informant there's no way I could go back to the standard Calendar! Roll on the ability to change Contacts as well...

I have had a problem today that I wanted to share to see if anyone else is getting the same thing? This morning TouchFlo wouldn't launch despite a number of resets. I did a restore in SSMaPa to the original settings which then allowed TF3D to run. I then ran SSMaPa again so that PI8 launches from TF3D and it all works again. I haven't installed any new software or tweaked for a couple of days, so not sure why this stopped working after about a week?

Anyone else had this? I have a Vodafone-supplied diamond in the UK.

Somehow the change calendar function is not working for me.
Just downloaded pocketinformant.
SSmapa couldnt find the exe, so i copied the exe to a location where it could be found.
Ran the program, patched, saved etc. But nothing changed.
Anyone got a clue what im doing wrong?

Ok think the search exe function aint fully functional yet.
I just manually typed down the path ( case sensitive )
It said succesfull, but nothing changed.

I tried to remap the alarm to klaxon alarm but I can´t find my programs in your file selection menue. browsed every suggested folder with showing all files but this menue doens´t provide all folder, files what so ever.

Got my Pocket Informant installed in the main memory (that's what WebIS recommends in their installation guidelines); thus I wrote (danish interface) exactly:

New program: /programmer/webis/pocketinformant/pocketinformant.exe
Working dir: /programmer/webis/pocketinformant/

The dashes need to be / and not \. And I don't think the text is case-sensitive - in fact it didn't work for me until I wrote the links WITHOUT capital letters!?! Don't ask me hoe or why, I'm just GLAD i managed!

It's a real shame, I don't have a clue what to do with all the other features of this program - guess I don't have the brains or the time to grow it.

Could I make my diamond go to PI Contacts when I chose contacts in TF3D?

The trick I found was to click " Save" first and there should be no error messages.
Also after you deploy, you should not click exit or restart if you wait it will exit abd restart TF3D by itself.

I have already tried the reg hack in \HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila and changed the HomeLSKPath to point to icontact and that works but only from the Home screen> Contacts but not the People Screen>All People

icontact seems more in keeping with the TF3D interface which I have modified the colours in keeping with my MDA IV (T-Mobile)

Does anybody know how to make 'All People' point to icontact instead of poutlook?

Sorry but I missed that page.. I have done as suggested but it complains that the 'destination file seems not to be valid'

New Program: \internal storage\program files\icontact\icontact.exe

Working Dir: \internal storage\program files\icontact\

I have the Patch enabled ticked.. but when I try to save it gives me the 'destination...'

Am I doing something stupid? (distinct possiblity I hear you cry)

I have got it working but more by guess work...

I copied the icontact folder from my internal storage\program files to the \program files and reset the paths accordingly and it worked.

I don't know why it didn't like it being on the internal storage as the other guy got it working from there...

If you have a shortcut of Thumbcal that already does this, you can use e.g. Resco File Explorer, open that shortcut by looking at properties and there should be the command line parameters. At least that is the way I did it with Pocket Informant.

I encountered the same problem as yours. To start AgendaOne from start menu everything is normal. But to start AgendaOne from TF3D Home, I will get "another" AgendaOne, which the setting is totally different to the "normal" one. At first, I think I can live with it by configuring this "another" AgendaOne to the same as the "normal" Agenda, but then I realize it can't select icon for the appointments as the icon set was missing! It can only show the item count in monthly view, no icon. The icon set appear only in the "normal" AgendaOne.

I solve the problem like you --- leave the SSMaPa setting as it be, then uninstall then reinstall AgendaOne, but I reinstall it again into the internal storage. No problem then.

Hi, first of all: great application!

But...one (little) problem i found...

Upon entering a new program you have to select the .exe (or any other file) you want to load. But...i could only select files from my Device/Internal Memory (4GB flash on the Diamond).

So if i would like to select files from i.e. Device/Windows (like internet explorer) i just couldnt!

The workaround i did: i copied /Windows/Internet Explorer.lnk to /Internal Memory/Internet Explorer.lnk...then ofcourse i could select the shortcut :).

I have tested this app with Manila2D, and I can safely say it doesn't seem to work. It will not load once modified by this program. I wasn't thinking it would because this one is probably hardcoded to 3D's style, but I was hoping.

I must agree this is a great program. Pity HTC couldn't do this. I do however have two problems if someone can kindly help.
1) I can get Spb Time to open but the alarm does not show as set in TFL3D. Is this what everyone else is seeing? If not what did you do? Maybe I missed something.
2) Has anyone managed to open SMS-Chat? I can't seem to get it to work.

if the destination exe is not in a shellpath folder you have to type the whole path.
this looks smt like this: /program files/agenda one/agenda one.exe

notice the forward slashs ('/') and the beginning slash.

choos calendar, enable patch, type the path in new program and maybe you have to add to the working dir /program files/agenda one/...

if you have further errors, give me the exact error message, then I will have a look on it..

For PocketInformant you will need to key in the path one by one. Its a tad long and case sensitive so be careful

If you want to open the calendar all the time. you can use the following name and arguments in case it opens in contact view or other views.

I was able to get Agenda One working, but I got the same problem with TF3D. There's a message on top to click & load, but it won't load.
The program's a great idea, but didn't work for me. Too bad.

1. SSMAPA don't work in non-official ROM, got message which you write in first post (Unautorized exception etc). SSMAPA write need install netcfv35.messages.en.wm.cab to read error message, when i install it ssmapa still don't work (of course), but write that can't find manila_patch.exe. I think maybe by default SSMAPA put some files to the one directory, but ROM makers change folder name and program not work property?
2. In official ROM (russian) - SSMAPA is working, BUT after change for example standart contacts to icontact with your program ActiveSync don't syncronize with Diamond (connect, but can't syncronize)

Found how SSMaPa can work in non-official ROM's.

When start SSMaPa from Diamond - i think program try create foder SSMaPa in \Windows and extract two files - Manila_patch.exe and Manila_original.exe.
I don't know why, but in non-official ROM's SSMaPa can't do it.
So, simply need create folder SSMaPa in root of Windows, then copy to it Manila_patch.exe and Manila_original.exe, then stat SSMaPa.exe.
All work, try it.

Has anyone succeeded in replacing the default mailclient yet, I can't seem to get it to work with flexmail4.

Replaced calender and contacts with PI8, with no problems whatsoever.

When I try to deploy the patch to replace Tmail, I get errors., after that I get the message "patch deployed successfully". When I check the directory "\Windows\SSMaPa", there's no Manila_patched there, just the Manila_original.exe

Instead of copying, make a shortcut. "copy==> paste as shortcut"

i tried but thumbcal afyter lunching is not working properly ... there is no skin on it and works not like it should ... the easiest way to explain U whats going on after i write in ssmapa those command above is to COPY only Thubcal.exe into any of your folder but not thubcal folder and U will se what i mean :) Copy and run it of corz ;)

I understand you. I've just tried it myself and ThumbCal won't play nice with this applet. The skin doesn't load with it which is a pity as it's a great app but I'll have to give up on it if I can't make it a default so that's money down the drain!

EDIT: Not ideal but I've got around it by making my RSKText key to Thumbcal then I get the best of both worlds. If anyone figures out ThumbCal on SSmapa please let me know!

i have a sprint cdma diamond and i cannot get this to work. im trying to change the time click or alarm click to klaxon. if i change time click after deploying, tf3d will not restart. it shows a successful deploy but when i click to launch tf3d it just says launching tf3d, then goes back to click to launch tf3d. if i change alarm click it allows tf3d to re-start but clicking either alarm or time still brings up the wm time alarm screen. help please :confused:

Ok I finally figured out how to back this baby up. I my case I remapped Klaxon for clock, ThumbCal for agenda and iContact for contacts. I used SASHIMI, but you can do this manually also. I deployed the patched and searched for the new files in the windows folder. Which, in my case, were _mp00.exe, mp03.exe, mp07.exe, mp08.exe, manila.exe and a folder called SSMaPa with Manila_original.exe in it. Copy these back into the windows folder and you should be fine. If you do a OM flash or a hard reset and install your apps in the same location as before, you wont have to install them again. Cheers

Maybe I don't understand correctly but SSMaPa is a manila editor, seems to me you need something to change something in the calander app or windows. Could use a softkey changer but that probably not what you want....

When loaded, click on "Replace POutlook" and go in second TAB (settings)
Flag Path Enabled
New program: put the path of icontact, for me (in italian) is \memorizzazione interna\programmi\icontact\icontact.exe

SAVE
Go in TAB "deploy" click on "Deploy patch" --> OK ---> Exit

Now when you go in "people" and you click on "all people" you open icontact!!!

grrrr blarg!!!! why did the sprint cdma version diamond have to be so different. so many things i want to work just dont! no matter what i change, it is just ignored. patched poutlook for icontact and clock or time click for klaxon and still they just open the default stuff! well either that or tf3d just will not load anymore. it shows "tap here to launch touchflo 3d" tap it and it says "launching touchflo3d" then back to tap here... then launching... does this a few times then just goes back to tap here to launch... can anyone help?

Very often, I touch the clock on the screen by mistake, and it goes directly to "Phone and alarm settings". I would like to block the big clock, so when you touch it it changes nothing.

Is there anything I can change on these:

it seems, Version 0.2.2 of SSMAPA will be something to old for newer Manila-Versions... the patch didnt work (UnauthorizedAccessException), some options like "TimeClick" not listet and much more problems...

Is there a chance for a new version in the next time? If "yes", is there also a chance to get the possibility fo patching the "calls"-link on the homescreen of TF3D to an other destination then the call-history?

grrrr blarg!!!! why did the sprint cdma version diamond have to be so different. so many things i want to work just dont! no matter what i change, it is just ignored. patched poutlook for icontact and clock or time click for klaxon and still they just open the default stuff! well either that or tf3d just will not load anymore. it shows "tap here to launch touchflo 3d" tap it and it says "launching touchflo3d" then back to tap here... then launching... does this a few times then just goes back to tap here to launch... can anyone help?

SSMaPa installed, runs, and behaves nicely including restore on my US Diamond using At&T service.

I can get IE to come up when using the "Globe" for internet access. However, I get a "Cannot connect with current connection settings....." If I ignore the message & hit " dismiss" I can access the internet with no other problems. Connection settings look fine.

I have tried paths in SSMaPa directly to /Windows/iexplore.exe and to shortcuts pasted to the Internal Storage with combinations of "Working Dir". IE startup is the same, with the annoying "Cannot Connect". IE will connect smoothly when initialized directly from the .exe.

Seems like I'm not getting proper connection settings having re-directed from Opera and initializing IE through TF3D, but I'm probably missing something simple.

Any thoughts?

I think you're asking me why IE instead of Opera?

I used Opera exclusively on prior smartphones (most recently Q9h). However, I get quicker/readable displays and more familiar/useable control options with IE on the Diamond. It's no doubt me, but I find Opera on the Diamond to be clumsy (page rendering, managing and use of favorites, etc).

I did try 9.5 Beta, and it is better. I have IE available on softkey, I would just like to use the TF3D overlay.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I can't even get that far. Nothing seems to work for the calendar link. However, it wasn't working before trying SSMaPa (I was hoping it would fix it by mapping to Pocket Informant). I think it got broken installing a theme at some point.

Oh well, I guess I'll try restoring the default manila files and start over.

I have installed this utility because I would like to use Agenda One as my default calendar/contacts/tasks on Touch Diamond (AllTel). When I follow the instructions the deployment seems to work properly, but Touch Flo won't load. I get a black screen (and the home button won't work).

Do you have suggestions, or can you provide more explicit directions on what exactly I need to insert in every field?

Same here on Juicy 3.2, I've been playing with it all day. It started when i noticed the menu button on the messages tab wasn't working, this is related to any additional tabs I added. Finally I got the extra tabs to work by manually adding them. When I try to remap the calendar to thumbcal using ssmapa same thing, if I use extended init the tf3d option in settings\today dissapears and tf3d can't be launched if I use the regular init it just flashes between tap here and launching touchflo. I used the workaround on MightSR 2.3 and had no issues remapping and adding tabs but on Juicy I can have one or the other. Can someone please help?!?! Thanks!

First of all you must make sure you type the full path to Agenda One and make sure to include all the "/" even at the very end of the path.

When the message pops up saying that Agenda One is signed, just click on "Yes".

I just wish there was a way to do the same for Tasks and Contacts. If there is, please please let me know.

hmm, it does not unsign agenda one... it unsigns only manila.exe.
if manila.exe is signed and patched it will not start anymore.

so, it should also work with with the version 0.2.2 with manual unsigning.

I'm pretty sure the "\" at the end of your program location string will cause a problem.

Tested Klaxon at this moment.
Worked with no problem.

The error means that the workingdirectory is wrong.
What does the end '/' in the programfilepath?

It does also launch only one instance on my phone (maybe you though only that 2 instances starts because of the cplmain patch)..

Test it again. On my touch diamond is it working perfectly.

In your case you have to replace poutlook.exe...

It is working without problems for me.

Guys simlpy do ONE thing, open the lnk in a texteditor, take whatever editor you want and do the following:

In the file is something like this:

130#"\Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe" 9?\Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe

Now the first thing is the application: \Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe

the second thing is the parameter:
9?\Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe

the third thing you need is the working directory, most of the time its the directory in which our exe is:
\Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\


click save and it will work.
