i downloaded and ran the olipro 2.40, then ran the titan radio 3.42.30 program. i cannot get past the alltel screen now. the reason i ran the radio rom first was because after reading the upgrade path it was suggest to run the radio program first. the only number on the htc screen that changed was the 3.42.30, the number below reads 2.14.

i did this with the usb cradle. is there a way to go back? fix?

also i wasnt able to get back to the tri color screen, it went straight to the htc/alltel screen so i wasnt able to do the dcd rom update i downloaded.

Run exitbootloader after disabling USB connections in activesync options.

You didn't brick your phone.

isnt it now a known thing that if you are using the .exe to upgrade your radio that you need version 1.2 of bootloader?

Instead of powering on normally, hold power, camera, and hold in the soft-reboot for about 2 seconds, then let go. it should put you in the tri-color bootloader screen.

Then you can flash a ROM.

And no, you can upgrade radio on 2.40 but after flashing a radio, you can't do another radio via the RUU for some reason. You have to update using MicroSD or a packaged RUU from then on...

Good catch, that is his problem. I forget that some people are still using executable over SD for radio upgrades.

I've never been able to get mms working with any consitency on Alltel with dcd's roms. I've installed the "Lenny" Alltel Arcsoft cab and it'll work occasionally when I run tests, but then won't work 10 minutes later or I won't receive an mms from someone. I've never been able to come up with a valid, consistent fix, so unfortunately I've stuck with the stock roms lately as mms is more important to me than WM 6.1.

I'm currently trying to add Alltel support to my MMS project, though I'll need some beta testers. It's not ready yet, but if you want to pm me with your email address, I can shoot out a mass email letting everyone who wants to test know when it's good to go.
