It doesnt' work properly in the HTC Diamond

The "green icon" for configuration doesn't appear ... because is "behind" the TouchFLO 3D

When you try to "select" a WAV file.. it appears a menu with Picture selection

The "vibrator" doesn't work ... and if you try to write a number before the "time" to the remainder... the program has a problem with .NET and died :(

When it would be availabe version 1.4? ;)

Program is working as expected.

The only "problem" is that the vibrate option does not seem to work. When i try to test the vibrate with the "Test vibrate"
option nothing happens. It does not matter which number is chosen.

thanks again!

do you know if this will support the palm threaded messaging app? it replaces the regular sms app in wm. It has it's own sound choice too from the notification drop down menu. Instead of the default 'new text message', theres another entry for "new message (PALM)"

So i'm thinking maybe there's a way in the registry to fix this and make it work? I only have 1 contact that I need a custom sms sound for. everyhting else i want to keep the default sound.

maybe you know a way to help me enable it just for this one contact?

Well now I take that back... It is letting me change it, however there seems to be no number that vibrates my device. With your old program 8 worked beautifully.

Also... in your old program I noticed that as I was searching for the LED number that worked, each number produced a different color LED. However in this program it does not seem to change the LED color as I change the number.

BTW my device is a Samsung SCH-i760 on WM6.1

does it pull up a menu or does it open up a file explorer browser? if its browser, maybe the default view is your pictures folder. that is just the file browser. use it to look for the folder where you store your sound files. go up to location and change to my device and then u can search for the folders

working on it now ;)

as for the Picture Chooser menu, i used the picture dialog box to let the user look for wav files.

For the vibrate option, i'm sorry but i still haven't found a way for this to work on all devices.

I love this idea, particularly the sms forwarding. Unfortunately it doesn't run on my kaiser. It just starts to think and then closes, no error or anything. There's a brief flicker in the screen. That's it. I'll let you know if it works on a different roms when i get a chance as the rom i am using right now is ported over from the diamond, but thought i'd give some feed back. Great effort though. Can't wait to see how it develops.

this wont work with palm messaging because palm doesn't use the default inbox to store messages. you may try the old version and see if it works:

i tried adding mp3 support to the sms tones using fmod but then it uses up a lot of ram. from 800-900kb it ballooned up to 2+MB

maybe someone could help me with the fmod coding :)

Hi, oldsap.
Thanks for your great program, haven't tested it deeply yet, but has what I was looking for a long time, that is keeping reminding me that I have a missed call or unread sms. But I see that it has very other powerful stuff. Really great job!
I have a question. The program works fine in my trinity (after you remove the icon tray it got perfect for me), but I tried to install it on my wife's Qtek S100 with Windows Mobile 2003 and had no luck. I mean, the program installs but got an error trying to run it. First it said the .net compact framework version was not enough. I installed version 2 and there is a different error trying to run the program.
Can you help me out? My wife's always complaining that my phone does things that her's doesn't... and i have no money to buy her a trinity or something...
Thanks in advance
bye

Nice program, but I only use it for reminding of unread SMS and unanswered calls.

I' d love to see some small improvements:

- Integrate option to auto-start with device (I created shortcut in \Windows\Autostart to Oist manually which works, but an option would be nice)

- Unsetting of sounds seems not possible. You can only select a file, but not "dont use one". I helped me out there by setting the registry entries to empty strings. For me, as I only need the reminder, the other sounds besides the reminder were just disturbing.

- Would be nice if the device did not wake up on every remind-attempt or at least as an option. This causes steady battery drain when device is in pocket or something. Without Oist, the device does not wakeup (while still playing the sound) when receiving an SMS per default (but there is a registry setting to enable that who needs it).

Looking forward to another update ;-)

I'd just like to say I appreciate all the hard work you did but I much preferred the simpler "os remind me" app you started with and if you added the option to have it hide on startup it would be perfect in my opinion.

strangely, i don't have that dword in my registryOK then it' s obvious that you don' t have an HTC Touch Diamond ;-) ...

I think I found a bug: I received 2 SMS at once because I had no signal for a while. Then things got funny: The phone played the reminder sound repeatedly, which means every 3-5 seconds or so instead of my specified loop time. Also it seems that Oist somehow reminds for each element, which is not very well minded IMHO. It should always remind as if only one element has not been read. The phone will get users attention anyway.

Doesn't work properly on Omnia. It doesn't vibrate (value 11 worked in OS Reminder).
Thing which should be added:
- autostart option
- do not turn on the screen on action - for me the sound is sufficient because if I can't hear the phone, I won't look on it. So turning on the screen waste the battery.
- reminders for MMS, e-mail etc.
Other problems:
- How to check if the program is running?
- Three tones are played when SMS comes: Oist tone (2 times) and windows tone
- The program says it is a version 1.3 even I installed v1.4
- How to disable Default, SMS sent, Unknown tones?
- What are the default and unknown tones for?

Hi Kabayan.

I really like this program. Extremely useful.

I'm using this on my Omnia, works fine but there's just one flaw.

I set this up to start up during reboots by copying the link to \Windows\StartUp, however, every time my phone starts, the unknown tone plays 5 times. Sadly, I need to manually start the program after every reboot.

Hope you can fix this.
