Hi does anybody have the Hutchison 3G UK official rom for Kaiser ,please fwd the link so i can install thier official rom n can use planet 3 services.

any idea on the radio they use coz mine keeps thinking im roaming drives me mad i got an orange 130 tytn2 second hand and p and g 3 sim

i didnt think it would fix it just help plus as have tryed loads im kinda curious as to witch they decided was best.

there is no offical 3 rom for the unit, as 3 never took on the unit, your roaming is due to the 3 sim being in the handset, and how the network is being registered on the unit. I have the same issue when i put a 3 sim into my tytn2 and diamond

3 have got the kaiser.....
And i'm using a vanilla htc with planet 3 fine......
just patch browser.dll so it doesn't report the user agent, and fake it as a n95
works perfect

Maybe do a search for the Aus ROM. There was one for the original TYTN, cos I tried it (or at least as a Dopod 3 ROM). Chances are they may only be using the stock HTC??

You're brave choosing 3 business - when I considered them, they weren't able to offer push email or any of what I would call "business" services. The roaming is poor too - some countries you can't have data or MMS with their roaming partners.

what radio came with your phone? like i said before i just want to test it because i tried a few and am interested in what radio they decided to go with?

Guys,
Any radio that works well for O2 should be good. UMTS (3G) is the same frequency band in the UK and the 2G service (as already stated) is delivered by O2.
I followed this methodology for the hermes and had no problems - and I've tried my Three Sim in my Kaiser and it gave me a better signal than my crappy SE C902!

Not related but I thought 3 moved from o2 to Orange a few months back.....?
Also its worth changing your user agent as you dont get all the planet 3 services as a ppc user.

You're right - my bad. They have also mentioned something about sharing infrastructure with T-Mobile.......
Easy way to get planet 3 is indeed to change the reported device to Nokia N75/N95 btw
I have Tytn II from Three, & want to upgrade to WM 6.1. From what you say I take it the standard HTC released ROM RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_3.28.405.0_radio_sign_25.83.40. 02_1.65.17.56_Ship.exe
should be ok? Have read all the background info on Rom versions, flashing etc, but am a bit confused as my 6.0 ROM version is 2.50.771.0 WWE, can't fid that anywhere, all those listed seem to start 1.xx.xxx.x. So if I needed to revert to the Three standard ROM, where would I get it from?

You can extract your ROM for a backup copy and also strip out your SPL - that way if you need to return it for warranty, No-one will know.

after much looking i finally found this thread again as i asked befor anybody know what radio 3 are giving out with this handset? im on the radio in my sig at the mo but wanted to see if theres was any better/differnet to what im using now?

I'm using 3 in Ireland.
They're selling the Kaiser (tytn II) in shops now. I don't think they have any 3 rom or 3 software, probably just original HTC, not 100% sure though.
They recently changed the Planet 3 system to work with all phones not just their locked, limited, branded phones now. Its all since they added prepaid service so you don't need the 3 ROM to use all the planet 3 services. However some things like games wont work because they're "not compatible" with the kaiser. (nokia only games im guessing)
Incidental I'm using radio 1.65.24.36. I found its got the best signal range of any of the many radios Ive tried. This works for 3 Ireland I'm sure its the same with 3 UK :)
Oh and anyone looking to patch the browser.dll? Dont bother, as I said above, 3 no longer limit their services on non-three phones.

dude sounds like a radio problem you get los of sound and sometimes camera with the wrong radios for the version on win mob you are using. have u upgraded to 6 or 6.1 if so head over the thultimate radio thread and you shall find out witch radios you need.

I would certainly appreciate it if you could dump the whole ROM somewhere. I've been trying to find a 3 version of the TYTN II on ebay but they are hard to come by and expensive when you find one! I know you don't really need the ROM now 3 don't block non-3 handsets but I would still like it for the built in software and so on.
If I could get a copy of the official ROM then I could get any version of the TYTN II and just swap the ROM.

I upgraded for a one off price of £105 on my tariff (talk & text 600) which cost me £10 a month with my £20 loyalty discount. Any tytn2 will work on three as long as u unlock it with hardspl. I was previously using a trinity. Ill have the three rom ready by Monday 27th aug at the latest.
I personally need to be able to restore my rom in case I need to use the warranty at anytime. Unfortunately the uk three rom seems to be the only one not available on xda developers wiki.

a full rom dump would be sweet i want to find out what msn messagner they are useingand maybe skype. i just want a general look around as i think im being charged for stuff even when on wwifi and its costing me a mint.

Hi I have successfully dumped my rom. Then cooked it following the wiki guides. however when i try to flash the rom on my Kaiser it always fails at 25%. Im gonna make a new post and see if anyone can help.

I'm gagging to dump my Nokia and it's crappy Symbian software in favour of the TYTN.

hey guys im a total noob pleaseee help!
ok i have done everything in terms of installing a cooked rom and radio
i have tried 2-3 roms and SEVERAL radios
the thing i cant figure out is when i have HSDPA on it doesnt let me make calls or i cant recieve calls!
HSDPA doesnt work with windows 6.1 roms and radios? or am i doing something wrong in the settings pleeease help this is an awesome community!
i tried going back to the h3g original windows 6 rom with its original radio but still HSDPA doesnt work!!
