Okay im going to clarify i am stupid, i have a HTC diamond phone to learn the wonderful way of windows mobile.
So far i have done alot of reading before attempting to install someone "cooked rom" i think thats what you call it.

Okay i deffinatley have a gray import from china and im guessing that might not matter. Here is what i think i must do but please correct me or guide me to the right path.

1. Hard reset my phone and install a SPL which i found one 1.24 (im guessing this enables the phone to be prepared for cooked roms).
2. Then get the RUU install that to update the rom version.
3 Then install the radio.
4. download the cooked rom and then just install it.

Now i may have misunderstood this but if you can give my dumb ass a correction or a thread that explains this in noob language i will be very happy. Please dont laugh at me as i am trying to work things out and pressing "search" dont help no idea where to start. Very sorry if i have offended.

Are the elites better than the usual crap that comes with it, and also do it sort the TCMP lag up on the full avi ect aswell as more efficieant.
