After several requests, he has begun transforming the skins I made for SCLPC++.
These may work in the HTC Touch.
Of course only the three faces of the cube.
It is a tedious task, but the result is very colorful and lets you change the already tedious aspect of the original Touch.

--To make things more simple I created a file. CAB that you can uninstall smoothly if you return to your previous state Touch menu.
--It can be installed in main memory or storage card, works well in the two sites.

At the moment I find myself without a telephone, the poor man died while trying to get a Rom that was not appropriate.
This metida rom was to get a proper registry to include the fourth side of the menu Touch.
Unfortunately are gafes the art and I am the only culprit.

I tried to repair the error but has no solution and the security was already extinct, I am afraid that I have a beautiful brick.

My intention is to return has a buy on Ebay soon and continue creating new and better skins for you.

I have to save and get some euros for the new acquisition.

As I already know I have not asked for anything in return for my work, what I share with you all in good taste.

This first skin is not completed in its entirety, continued working on it shortly and the upload is finished.
Now they can download this first test and see the results in its HTC, skin is in an installer (. Cab) easy to install and can return to their ancient icons simply uninstalling the skin.

Well tried installing it. It skinned 2 of the sides of the cube and left the other 2 sides blank. Probably due to the fact that it has 4 sides and the 4th side is actually just an extention of the 3rd side or something. I dont know. It does look like I nice skin though!

Nicely done,

I had made my own in light blues, I like this one also especially the easy install. 1 side that did not load up was the 6 app side (Web, Inbox, Im, etc..)

I had the same thing, obviously, with the one page. I'm about to look at it, but you should be able to change the images with the same from the animation in the cube editor.

It may be that the texts are a bit close to the icons on the main menu 1.
This is solved by making changes to the registry.

Sorry but I am beginning to learn how to work the creation of cabs, as you learn enough effected a cab that includes all changes in registration.

This skin is only for the originates HTC TOUCH , has only three sides or faces.

Pardon am Spanish and I find it difficult to understand what they say, I use a translator, sometimes the translation does not interpret his comments well.

I do not understand,
This latest version is verified.
Do the installation from scratch, after installing a ROM and everything was fine.

My 3 faces are skinned but I have some titles in english and some in spanish... What could be the problem?

In the beginning. Cab was built in Spanish language, later amended the text in the registry to make English version.
Indicate text that appears in Spanish.

There are no instructions whatsoever, it's easy to simply install the Cab and restart your device.
As you can see in the comments, works well.
I hope it works.
Has to try again.

I tried twice, i have uninstalled it and reinstalled it again. Did also a soft reset and it still shows the default cube colors

Mr.J i am a great admirer of your work and brains, i actualy own a new HTC Touch, no cooked rom, directly from company.

Any Chance you could do the Diamond themes next? AND.. on a side note.. since I have a 4 sided cube and it wont skin properly for me.. could you post the seperate ICONS as well so I can add them manually to my phone using the touch settings program.

When I ran the cab file it installed okay for me. Minus the fact that it only skinned 3 of the 4 sides of my stock cube. I had originally copied the cab to the SD card and then ran it from there and installed to the device.

I have a HTC Touch and my bucket is only three sides.

You have four landslides and the fourth side shows the Applications menu?

If this is so difficult to see it end.

There can be, not work in their devices.
The only thing I can think is that. Cab installs all the icons in Windows, they may have some kind of installation that there Rom changed the location of these icons and. Cab can not replace them by not found in Windows.
If they want to check them I quote a few icons, to make a search in Windows and verify that their icons were found in the original.

This includes:
Menu icons Action Sceen.
Repairs animation sides 1 and 2.
Changes in registration, in English language.

From what I have read in long answers that you do, I think you are working on your HTC ROM containing four sides.
Corrected if I am wrong.
If so, it is likely that this is the problem that some of you will not see the fourth side.
BROWSE to solve it, but I need to tell me where the rom download and view it using my own PPC.

Beautiful!!! I just need to find a way to disable my 4th side so I can use it... that IS unless you want to make a 4th sider version for all of us with a 4th sided cube :P

Jamil uses a translator. I am pretty sure that it is wrongly translating "bucket" instead of "cube"...

BTW, I don't use Jamil's work but it is really very well done. :)

You can try it without problems, if you do not operate simply by uninstalling the Cab and its device was installed as before.
I can tell you that the Cab directs all the icons to the Windows folder.
Check if your current Cube takes into windows icons accommodated, if this is so you operate safely.
A piece of advice, if you do not want any judgement, it is preferable to install the Cab in the main memory.

The Telus rom is in english yes... also its meant for a HTC Vogue.. so its meant for the CDMA Touch.. Not the GSM Elf version of the touch. Maybe that is the issue.

Ohh! I guess you have a GSM version of the Touch (Elf!) This ROM is for CDMA Touch (Vogue)...

I you tell me where to look for in the registry, maybe i can copy/paste the info to you (or maybe Aaron will, i am leaving for vacations!)

I thought that to make installation easier, I created a package Cabs and some installation instructions.

Important:

This skin is made to and HTC tested in a TOUCH Elf and with the latest ROM is Ciberus the 2.20.214.1

The skin on three sides is valid for the original HTC TOUCH Rom or those who only have three-sided.

The skin on three sides over the icons for Action SCE is valid for the last Rom Ciberus is 2.20.214.1

For a proper functioning of the skin, it is recommended that its installation is performed on the device and not on the storage card.

This is beautiful... is there no way at all minus getting that file off my phone (which I have no idea how to get it) that you can make a skin for a 4 sided cube. My cube faces are as follows...

Start at the contact shortcube side, then to the right the 6 sided ap side, again to the right a 3 sided ap side which was added in so can have whatever icons you want. I like GPS or whatever then to the right again and you have the original 3 sided ap side with the music, photos and video icons then once more to the right and it goes back to the contacts side.

The skin on three sides is valid for the original HTC TOUCH Rom or those who only have three-sided.

The skin on three sides over the icons for Action SCE is valid for the last Rom Ciberus is 2.20.214.1

For a proper functioning of the skin, it is recommended that its installation is performed on the device and not on the storage card.

I am afraid I can not make a skin for release of 4 sides (Faces).
My phone is a TOUCH HTC Elf and I can not install the ROM with four sides.
That is why I can not make a skin without being able to try on my phone what I'm doing.
I need to do tests to see that everything is fine before boarding the skin for download.

Well I can understand not wanting to post something without testing it. Thats for sure. I second the question though of can you post the images themselves? We can use something like touchsettings to add the individual icons themselves as opposed to installing the whole skin pack AND I could set up my 4th side as well! So yes once you get the links up to download the diamond skins can you post the image files (jpgs/pngs/brns.. whatever you used) as well?

I'm still hoping JAMILU007 can upload his png/bmp/brn files for the diamond cube so that I can apply it to my 4 sided cube via touch settings. That said.. I can NOT for the life of me see where to download what he has done so far. Where did you get he download link from? Am I just blind here?

Edit: Yep I am blind its the "HERE" where you can download it.. duh.. anyone know how to extract the cab so I can get the individual icon images? JAMILU007 is that even okay for me to do that? I wouldnt want to go messing with something you created.. although you did more or less put it out here on a forum so I'm sure someone will do it. But regardless... I want to ask for permission

ALSO... I have a cube icon threat over in the elf forum. Anyway you can go and post this cab in there? Or do I have permission to repost it there for everyone to install? Just a bit better exposure there as anyone who's looking for an icon to install on the cube would likely start in the elf/vogue forums.

Second Edit: OKay I managed to get this installed on my Vogue.. had to manually copy the files over. I havnt quite got the transitions working yet as I have the 4 sided cube but I'll manage. JAMIL7000 can you post your photoshop files so I can make some custom icons for my cube still using the same background etc?

The Touch Dual uses a different file structure and the .brn file names are preceded by Blue, Red or Green e.g.

Blue_AL_02_HL.brn
Blue_AS_01_focus.brn
BlueA0.brn ............ etc

Green_AL_02_HL.brn
Green_AS_01_focus.brn
GreenA0.brn ............ etc

Red_AL_02_HL.brn
Red_AS_01_focus.brn
RedA0.brn ............ etc

The Action Screen and cube icon colours are also controlled by a registry key.

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\ColorSkin" with a subkey value Color=Blue

It is possible to change the color value from the default Blue to Red (for some reason Green does not work). Basically changing the color value changes the icon colours on the Action Screen and some elements of the cube interface (soft reset needed).

I installed JAMILU007's Version with the three sides of the cube and icons for Action Sceen menu and following a soft reset it didn't work on my Touch Dual.

However, I experimented and deleted the value "blue" from the registry, did a soft reset and managed to get it to partly work, see screenshots below:

Question is how do I get the 3rd side of the cube and Action Screen working?

Had a look at the cab structure and looked at the PPC windows directory for obvious naming problems and I can't see anything obvious at the moment.

It is possible that the problem lies in the different structures of the cube, depending on what we are talking Touch.
My skin was configured and created following the locations of files and addresses of these in a HTC Touch Elf.

If we speak of a Dual HTC or Cruiser, records and file names change.

I have no problem drawing an adaptation of the skin for different HTC, the drawback is that it lacks sufficient information.

It is possible that with a copy of:
The key.
Hkey_local_machine \ Software \ HTC \ ......?
Icons.
Location and number of files corresponding to the bucket.

With all this I try to do a version for you.

Told them something that might interest them or not.

I started here with fur SCLPC + +, with the few gifts I got a buy on Ebay HTC Touch to investigate as was the file structure of this mobile and able to get adapted skins.
Finally and this is what got the result, everyone can now
enjoy the skins for HTC Touch.

That means this ..?
If obtain more donations, Rest assured that I have in my hands several models of HTC and the result would be more availability of skins for all.

You can not investigate without tools.:(

Friend Aaron McCarthy, I have no objection to raise icons to be distributed to all.
You should make a list of icons that need.
Indicate the format and name type.
Confeccionare a file .RAR and the SUB for free download.
As far as I'm concerned, they can use icons and skin as they wish.
The only thing I ask is that include my name as creator.

It will also be good to make any donation, that motivates make more skins future.:)

hey JAMILU007... that's great and of course I would put your name as the creator... can you post your blank icons (ie.. the icon set for the media hub and the 6 icon side without any actual icons on it.. so the icon with just the backgrounds.. Then I can pop in my own icon and mod it to GPS and all that stuff... So yeah if you can post the icons in either a jpg or bmp format that would be great. Just rar or zip your work... that would be great. Also... I dont know if you have this but can you do up some blank icons for the rotation files? That way anyone who mods the icons wouldnt have the default ones you made up? I realize that may be asking for too much as its a ton of work but the end result would be great!

I think it will be sufficient to install the item at any HTC Touch.

The icons he just posted up for me were the blanks for the diamond. Very nice, should be able to do some mods up pretty quick.

I'm sure some of the artists there will do some nice stuff.. I would too if I had the time but right now I dont.. :(

That said, I never did post the registry for the bio touch. It would be great if you could as he could then do up an animation for the 4th side as well I think!

Any update on the 4th side of the cube? JAMILU007..... any chace we can get you to do the spinning rotations with blank icons? As in still have the background just no icon on the actual background so as we modify them to our own icons it wont have the default ones rotating? I can only imagine how big of a pain that would be but if you could do that sometime that would be great!
