Hi all,

Inspired by the great little tool KaiserTweak (thanks again Chainfire !!!), I've adapted it to the Diamond and called it Diamond Tweak

This tool allows you to simply apply all the important Diamond tweaks.

So, Tweak it easy ! And optimize it as you want !!!

Trying it means adopting it...

Hi there MonteChristoffOn, I've just downloaded and installed your app. it appears to be working perfectly so thanks very much. It did occur to me that it might be useful to add a soft reset option when you click OK, just because the diamond reset button is a bit inaccessible. My other thought was that it could be helpful to some of the rom junkies around here, what with roms appearing almost daily now, if it would be possible to save a tweak set up to storage to reapply later, or to switch easily from one set up to another.

No, but ACT is a general tool for all HTC devices.
DiamondTweak is specific for your little jewel.

Seems so be my mistake, I translated the german version and it seems that it doesn´t take the german letters like ä,ö,ü. Will update that.

No option for that, currently.
But a lot of reg tools do that very well (like PHM Registry for example).

Also, do the pressure sensitivity values in touchflo3d affect the screen more generally or is it only in touchflo. I've actually turned touchflo off so I won't play about with them if it's only for touchflo apps.

It only affects HTC 'touch' applications (TF3D, HTC Album, Camera, ...)

When you download the file, you must NOT unzip the file. it's a .CAB file that must be directly transfered to your mobile device and ran from it. :)

When Wake Up on New SMS is enabled manually without diamondtweak, Diamondtweak wasn't able to detect it and show that it is still "disabled" in its GUI.

I installed version 0.2 but after noticing same tweaks can be done with advanced config modified by boinger (and I prefer this one) I uninstalled it because do not want duplicate apps.
In version 0.3 tweaks are more or less the same or there is a huge improvement?

A "nice to have" feature would be the possibility to export all the setting to a file (eg. XML) and then re-import them so that each time I have to hard-reset my mobile I can save some time :)

You have to disable the FJE Aribzer and restart your PPC, then it will show correctly. After you finish tweaking, re-activate the Arabizer and restart you PPC.

To make it clear :
Diamond Tweak just reads your registry values for each tweak :
> If there is no associate value, the combo-box is empty
> If there is a corresponding value, the combo-box will contain this value

battery status icon is back ... 0.3.2
so I'm happy ...
but ... just for you to know, there is still an issue in the date and clock menu.
if I understand correctly, when I select battery visible, date and clock should switch to hide. it doesn't ....

And why not using Diamond Tweak, even if it's only for one tweak ?
=> It will not modify any other tweak if you don't need it or change it !!!

Anyway... you just have to modify these 3 keys :

You don't have to use Diamond Tweak to do this.
Just go "Start > Settings > Connections > Advanced Network" and disable HSDPA.

What do you mean by 'autosence for backlight is disabled' ?
There is no backlight tweak or settings in Diamond Tweak (except for enabled/disabled the Light Sensor during a phone call) but you can check out directly in your WM backlight settings...

The registry tweak needed for that is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled

Set the DWORD Value to 1 of course for disabling it.

When i choose internal memory for install it, after about near at 20% of installation it restart and re-ask me where i want to install ... and all for 4 times and after it says me that is not possibile install the application.

Just pull (copy) the file as it is to Internal Storage and tap it ones.
That should initiate the installation process.
You probably are using WinZip abut there is NO need to extract the file.

Love this little app...and the new 0.5 is even better. Thanks for the time and effort. Just one thing, would it be possible to add more options for the left and right softkeys (such as any program). I use SecondToday and with the new 0.5, using the SecondTodayKeys.cab to change the keys, no longer works, even though they seem to be remapped in the registry.

I solved the problem, turns out it's not related to your tweaker at all, it's ESET NOD32 that's causing it. It worked perfectly until yesterday, so now I've uninstalled it.

About tweak #6.1, it does the job. Are you sure that during this interval you don't have one or more hidden process which re-establish a connection (RSS, Mail, Weather, ...) ?

About tweak #6.1, it does the job. Are you sure that during this interval you don't have one or more hidden process which re-establish a connection (RSS, Mail, Weather, ...) ?



I will dubble check again and will disable the items under 6.2 they are still turned on. The items under 6.3 as well. [pushmail, mms and gprs] Or are they supposed to stay on?

I've had the same problem with the disconnection data function.
(tweak 6.1)
i tested it with IE opening a standaard non automatic refreshing page.
nothing with 1 of 5 minutes.

But the option auto update if the is a connection at RSS hub was on.
When i turned that off it works great :)

A little bit of feedback - is it worth pointing out in the tweak description that #1.4 (Mute Call) will only work if #1.8 (Phone pad style) is set to Diamond (not WM Standard)?

I suggest that you use ACT, a more general WM tool for your dual.

1) Go to HKLM/SOFTWARE/OEM/PhoneSetting
2) Add DWORD Value 'TrustTimeZoneField'
3) Set value = 0

How about including more options to change the menu font to a usable size?
(e.g. 9 and 8 point smal/smaller)

But with this sizes you would also have to delete the folowing key:

Delete the string "WidgSz"=dword:1" in
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE]

Otherwise the menu glyphs stay at their original size, and this is for font sizes 10 and up.

Is it on purpose that the title of the application is "DiamonTweak" instead of "DiamondTweak" ?

Small idea about the tweaks that are reset after a soft reset:
what about putting "Diamond Tweks" into window startup, that sets those tweaks automatically right after the reboot? (e.g. with a command line option "-startup".

What about a "apply all advised tweaks automatically"?

I would also love AppToDate support!

I have a diamond and my provider is Orange Switzerland. If the A-gps is not activated in your software the GPS is not working. I don't know if it's normal or not ? And If I activate the A-GPS, I can only choose Orange and SFR as a provider. I have chosen Orange but I don't know if it's my Orange Switzerland configuration or a config with Orange France ?

As said in Diamond Tweak (18.6), don't choose a provider if it's not yours !
And if you don't have any A-GPS support, you should disable the A-GPS functionnality (18.5).
