advise with Rom update utility required

I am trying to update to WM6 on my G4, evertime i use the update utilty tool and I get to the "verify that you want to update the ROM version" I cannot see the replacement rom,

what am I doing wrong?

I see:

Model ID wizard
model version 1.2.0.0
language english


to

model version wizard
image version (nothing its blank)
language WWE


any idea what I am doing wrong?


I have tried several Rom packs from here but get the same on all

Its not possible to upgrade to wm6 with a CID locked phone.Read and follow the SoftSPL or HardSPL method posted as stickies in the G4 sub-forum.

yep, i used the unlocker, after downloading the tutorial here i saw where I was going wrong, now have the new Rom updated and working well, except.......


No data or internet connection, all other functions work, bluetooth, wireless phone sms etc but cannot connect to internet or send recieve mail. just get "cannot connect with current connection settings" message. it used to be the 02 software, still running an the same 02 sim which works fine in my other phone, either I am missing something on settings for the new rom. using the Mfrazzz wm6 Rom


any ideas?

You need to set up the GPRS settings for your carrier,get them from O2 or check out this link:-
