Hello everyone - I couldn't think of a name for what I'm talking about, so I thought I would explain it. I sometimes hear music when I call someone's mobile phone. It's like they chose a tune for callers to hear when they call them. Also, another person placed me on hold when they received a beep, and I could hear a tune playing. The person said that their device begins to play through their playlist when they use the hold or swap feature. I asked what they were using, and they were using a Palm device.

Anyone heard of software that I could get to allow these functions on my Tilt?

Thanks!

Outgoing ringtones are a network feature.. they'll do it automatically for you and charge you an additional monthly fee.

I found a registry setting somewhere, that you can point to a sound/music file as a custom 'on hold' tune. I tried several audio files, however it didnt work.. so I guess it does depend on the network.. :(
