Changes:
* Fixed MSN WiFi Connection Issue (tested OK with version 10.6.0034.0800)
* Restored back Phone, Calendar, Contacts and Help icons which was missing from Programs in V3.5X
* Added OBEX Inbox
* Replaced Resco Photo Viewer with S2V (small, fast and lightweight finger friendly photo viewer with basic features in place). Kudos to A_C.
* Added Today Agenda

Minor Issue:
* Forgot to disable Calendar from Today's Items, end up both Calendar and Today Agenda are appear together. Not a big deal:)

For those who prefer Photo Viewer over S2V can still download & use the V3.5X as there is no major differences between 3.5X and 3.6X.

I attached here MSNWiFiFix.provxml, to apply it kindly use File Manager & open it with \Windows\CeleCmd.

Yup, same problem over here.. soft-resetting the device brings up the initial configuration screen.

I don't have this issue after soft reset, weird. I did a reboot from QuickMenu, not sure if that was the same with poking the reset hole?

Update: I tried soft reset by poking the reset hole and I didn't have the issue you guys mentioned.

Was the issue keep repeating on every soft reset or only one time? I suspected it is because the SDAutoRun, if it didn't detect any SDConfig.txt in the MicroSD then it will skip the screen alignment process and do a soft reset and after the screen alignment process will appear, at least once. If this was your case then it is normal.

1) The program can be installed without any problem.
2) However, the button on screen misaligned. When I pressed it, nothing happened. When I moved my finger away for few centimeter, I can press the button.

Frankly speaking, I used D1 for only 1 day before I upgraded to xmen06's E1. So far so good and quite stable. Only when the battery is low (after warning) then the device can be slow to response, phone signal cut off, storage card access blocked, etc.

Nope, I'm a SingTel subscriber. I hardly watch media streaming but I know that default media player can stream online radio like 933. I use CorePlayer as video player, don't know if it can do streaming.

It's not recommended to manually remove the apps inside the ROM since they are built together during the cooking process.

The best bet is to build your own ROM so you can customize it to suit your style:)

i had the same problem with s2p what i did was set the resolution to 128dpi in the RealVGA config, the phone will restart then set 96dpi again and there is s2p working normally

I don't think so. For Chinese, you can go to www.zenyee.com and find the qwerty chinese input software there as for japanese you need to find it somewhere else.

Regarding the setup screen, everytime I soft reset, it will ask me to do the set up again. The only difference is that the regional settings are okay. I do not have the SDConfig.txt in my microsd and hence it should not be this problem that leads to the setup every time you soft reset. Point to note is that I do have the SDConfig.txt in the windows folder. Could it be this that is causing this problem?

If you don't mind me asking what are the differences between your rom and EFN rom? Is it only the CJK support? I see he withdrawn his version from the thread. I'm interested but would like to know which version would work better for me. Note I only use English.

I have the same problem with every time a soft reset is done you have to realign the screen and go through the setups like after a hard reset.

Can you give information to fix this? I have a file named SDConfig.txt in windows. I tried to edit the file and remove the Reset, I tried deleting the file alltogether but still does not work.

I have looked at this and don't know what Else to do. I tried creating a SDConfig.txt and put it in the SD root and put a cab in the SD\CABS\ folder and it still keeps bringing up the screen alignment.

Please Help. Is there anyway to disable this?

Note to I780 users. Several have had problems with this ROM due to after soft reset you have to go through all the setups again just like after hard reset, screen alignment etc. With no resolution to this problem I would caution using this ROM as there is a new EFN ROM which does not have this problem.

vibranze not trying to cause you problems but many of us were left with our hands tied do to this issue waiting for your response but nothing cam. Nothing worse than flashing a ROM and finding out you have a problem and no support for it. All in all a good effort but I would resolve the UC or at least have a patch for those that don't use it in the future.

Vibranze is using my V1 as the base for this rom. But I will share with him the full kitchen that I use for V3 so that Vibranze can make his own CKJ enabled release. Vibranze has an interestin flair in designing a rom so I believe many here would love to see more of it :)

Also, the default locale is not Japanese in my i780 as I already set it to English (Australia), weird.

I just saw today that Samsung has China localized version of I780. This has 3G support and small vid phone cam removed. After comparing this phone and mine with your rom upgrade new owner of the localized phone is going crazy saying his phone interface looks like crap!! He is asking if his phone can be upgraded with your rom. I am not sure if this will work or not. Has anyone tried Vibranze's rom on China Mobile version of I780?
Quick comparison shows that China Mobile version has slightly different key board layout and 3G support and video call camera missing.

Try to find in EFN's thread there is someone mentioned about how to fix this connection problem. I forgot the patch name but there is. Hope this help.

At the moment, you can use IM+:) IMHO, it's better then WLM.

Update: Try this version 10.6.34.0800 and see if it is working.

Hi Pdaman,

I based on 3.3X, not sure about the GPS but using Google Maps I can use the GPS port without problem.

I included GPSProxy as well, you may want to try it yourself as I hardly use GPS.

Btw, until now I still can't use MapKing, not sure what's wrong, too lazy to find out or revert back to original ROM, hehe.

It was definitely an issue for me on yor 3.3X. Will try 3.5X and let you know. Elfin 3.3X/3.3XG works without any issues.....:(

Suggest you use GPSGate .... set it to look for the built-in GPS driver. When done, MapKing connects to it without issues.

I don't think it's the port or driver issue because I can't even see the main screen after the splash screen is disappeared.

Its error is captured by MS error reporting feature but I just didn't understand with what mentioned in the report.

I don't have any problem making/receiving call, did you install any software? After hard reset, try to make/receive a call first before you install any other software. HTH.

Hi,

Can you browse any website using PIE over WiFi connection? If can't then the issue may lie with your wireless. If can then I really can't help much since over here MSN is working fine with either GPRS or WiFI.

I flashed to ENF's HH1 rom and after first sync i could not sync any more so i downgraded to 3.6 for PDA and its great as my phone is running on HH1 and pda on 3.6..

I just found a very strange thing when using u rom, dunno it is bug or not.

When I use qwerty num pad to dial a number, the contact will become a call log.
Then if u cancel the call log, the contact will disappear when using hard button to dial. (hope u know what I am talking about)

But when u go to official contact, the number is there.

When I try to set up my Hotmail, it won't let me set up the account and instead opens PIE to view my messages there. I much prefer to set up an account so I can enable push mail. Is there a cab I can install to do this?

Any 3.6x rom's user encounter the following problem when viewing some chinese website? Tried to change the encode of browser, different regional setting or using different font, not work at all.

By installing cjksupport6.1 from this forum make no different.

There's no single problem to display chinese on all other program, only these website. As show on screen capture, some charaters do appear fine but some not. Thought it's related size issue but changing font size wont do help any.:confused:
