Hello fellow developers. I am also happy (not) to say that I have bricked my O2 Stealth.
Has anybody been able to make any progress on debricking this phone using the JTAG method? I have two of these phones (one bricked) and I can confirm that on both phones there is evidence of test probing on the contacts marked with red ink shown in the previous post.
If these are the JTAG pins, is there any way of identifying which pin is which by probing with a multimeter and an oscilloscope?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
:)

Thanks Slimli,
You are a champion !!! The photo of the JTAG pins made all the difference.
I then just simply followed the O2 Dead Boot tutorial that's floating around. I made up my own JTAG connector with odds and ends I found in the garage, and I replaced the EBO_a.nb0 file with the stealth bootloader you had also sent me. I now have Windows Mobile 6.5 running on my phone.
Once again, Thanks Slimli, you are a champion !!!!!!!!!!!:)

I followed instructions given here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=DeadBoot
These instructions can also be found here:
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=680669
I used the program in this package:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/uploads/RepairBootLoader.zip
Replace EBO_a.nb0 given in this package with the Stealth bootloader.
The addresses and flash type are set up in 'start.bat'. They also apply to the Stealth. Open a DOS shell in the same directory as 'start.bat' (which also has 'EBO_a.nb0'), and then at the DOS prompt, type 'run start'. The only tricky part is to get a good contact on the jtag pins. The rest was easy.

this is the LPT-to-USB example.

the jtag method is fairly simple. well, if one understand what the instruction says. in what i summerize, there are 6-7 major steps.

try to repeat the process again, remember the jtag contact point is very important one, the rests are easy - mine is recovered well :D if you are sure the process is successful, then copy the nbh file and necessary files to mini-SD card and flash official wm5 rom from there, make sure your battery is more than 50%.

Hello deepthroat thanks :), To extend the description of the fault: A while ago my Stealth with wm6.1 upgrade but I was pleased that many mistakes. But then switch to wm5 with the original ROM and it worked very well .... I have a brother who have another Stealth I did the same at the same time, Dex for 6 months, presented the problem before with my stealth mention. and my brother is working well.
The Stealth of my brother and updated with WM6.5 works well. But my Stealth presents the problem I wrote above. I try to flash via microSD with a single "gbcall.nb0" with different versions of WM5 and WM61 or WM65. but my Stealth light a lamp and the screen is orange with the logo of O2. After a few minutes and do nothing, I press reset and it goes to normal with above settings with all my documents as nothing. I try to use the ActiveSync, and format the memory but does not update the ROM.

Hmmm ....language barrier here, i'm not sure fully understand your problem here. Please read start from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2680062&postcount=583) on flashing via microSD, make sure you have the file required copied to the root directory.
If that still fails, maybe you need MTTY to format NAND via PC but i'm not sure about task number to be performed. Google over this forum on subject of MTTY.

tried what you suggested, to flash the device using sd card but still no upgrade utility showing and just leave the device for 45mins only orange led light attached to a charger. still no results. only o2 screen then after a min the screen goes to white
and tried to flash it i guess 9-10 successful flash using jtag but still no progress, its like that the loader is not going into the device. btw heres the story... i sucessfully flashed it before from 5-slimli's 6.5 via activesync without any problems. the i noticed that the mms app i installed is not working properly so i decided to reflash it again with the same rom. but this time i use my mini sdcard. i only transfer gbcall file to the card, the flashing started with no problems thought everything will be ok but when it reaches to i think 9 lines of upgrading progress it just hung with a white screen. so i soft reset the device. then after that the phone is useless. activesync cant recognize it, no upgrade utility when i press green, red and on button. but the engineering mode works and all the test i performed passed except flash test. then the next day i discovered that my card is very faulty and about to be corrupt.
this is my history what do you think.? every suggestions on how to possibly restore my device will be accepted and highly appreciated. thanks to all.

And how can I do that? Is this method different from the JTAG (Unbricking) method?

tried what you suggested, to flash the device using sd card but still no upgrade utility showing and just leave the device for 45mins only orange led light attached to a charger. still no results. only o2 screen then after a min the screen goes to white
and tried to flash it i guess 9-10 successful flash using jtag but still no progress, its like that the loader is not going into the device. btw heres the story... i sucessfully flashed it before from 5-slimli's 6.5 via activesync without any problems. the i noticed that the mms app i installed is not working properly so i decided to reflash it again with the same rom. but this time i use my mini sdcard. i only transfer gbcall file to the card, the flashing started with no problems thought everything will be ok but when it reaches to i think 9 lines of upgrading progress it just hung with a white screen. so i soft reset the device. then after that the phone is useless. activesync cant recognize it, no upgrade utility when i press green, red and on button. but the engineering mode works and all the test i performed passed except flash test. then the next day i discovered that my card is very faulty and about to be corrupt.
this is my history what do you think.? every suggestions on how to possibly restore my device will be accepted and highly appreciated. thanks to all.it could be due to ur sd card. new sd card also the same?
tell me maybe its because of my cable hardware? but i dont think so because the program flashes in both addresses with no problems just like in the screenshots in the manual. engineering mode works and when i try to run the flash test in basic function, it gives me an error...
checksum = 8013af0f
test fail!
press any key to continue...
what part of the rom is that?honestly, i dunno what that is. how u do flash test?
