create a new taskbar

hi,
i want to create a new taskbar. for me there are two ways of doing it:
1. batterystatus in combination with vjtoggletodayiialpha (which hides the original taskbar). i like batterystatus because it is thin and free...
2. replacing the ugly icons of the original taskbar.

here are my questions and i would appreciate your feedback:
1. is it possible to replace the original taskbar-icons with bigger and colored icons. and, is it possible to increase the size of the taskbar?
2. if i go for batterystatus, what are the names of the small apps appearing if you tap on the connection-symbol (where you can disconnect from data connection) and on the loudspeaker (to adjust the volume).

yup. have seen this thread. kind of useful. but could not find answers as to how to disconnect from data connection and how to adjust the volume.

Take a look to the smarttools. I have it from UL.

many thanks. funny enough - i am already using UL...


tool "setvolume.exe" does not let you adjust the volume with a slider as the built-in app does.
does your collection include a tool to disconnect data connections? haven't found it.
