Hi!
I found a tips by myself to make the GPS run, i mean to activate it.
Sometimes, i run a GPS soft (like iGo, TomTom, Garmin, Google...), it find the gps, but can't activate it, i mean you have no satelitte!
But i saw that activating the Xtra even if the phone is off, make the gps work!
So i try it, and it work everytime for my, i got the frech ROM XHHC2...
-Activate the Xtra (parameters>sytem>GPS advance)
-Say ok to all and do NOT reboot
-change the GPS port, swtich to another comXX (parameters>system>GPS extern)
-do NOT reboot
-run your GPS soft, and wait to find at least one satelitte, but do not wait fhe fix, it's useless.
You just need the GPS module to be activated
-if it try to connect to GPRS or something else, just cancel.
You can switch the phone part off before, it works the same, and you're sure to pay nothing ;)
-you can close you GPS software
-Switch the Xtra off (parameters>sytem>GPS advance)
-Say ok to all and do NOT reboot
Now each time you want to use the GPS, it will make no problem.
You may need to do it again of you reboot your i780!
If it try to connect to GPRS even if the xtra is off, just activate and desactive it again...
The most important steps are to NEVER reboot, activate/desactivate the Xtra and change the port.
Tell me if it works for you...
