Phone option in iGO8

Hello,

In iGO8 when you look at POI information (for ex. a hotel) you can find its phone number and you could, normally, call directly but it seems not working on Tytn2.

iGO8 can manage a phone because near TMC icon you can see bluetooth icon and in the manual you can read that you can phone directly from iGO8.

Is this problem known by someone ??

This solved the issue for me.

*** FIND THE SYS.TXT IN \PROGRAM FILES\IGO8, NOT \STORAGE CARD\IGO8!!! It will not work if you change the one on the Storage Card and not the one in Program Files ***

(BTW, if your SYS.TXT already has an section, add the poi_show_all_btn=1 line there instead of creating a redundant section.)

Does anyone know how to enable dialing a poi directly from the poi info screen? I tried the sys.txt file from this site, but it doesn't work on my Tilt (aka Kaiser)

Adding these entries to SYS.TXT under each section did it for me:

[phone]
driver="TAPI"
exe_path="\Windows\cprog.exe"
win_name="Phone"

[interface]
poi_show_all_btn=1

Hope this solves it...Now if only I knew what the bluetooth icon did...

I think the bluetooth icon is for devices which dont have inbuilt GPS and use a bluetooth GPS device. The icon will indicate the current status of blueooth
