Calls problem

Hello everybody
i'm new on this forum and i admire your woks.

I've a problem with calls in and out: thew earpiece doesn't work and i must use the speaker or headphones to make conversations; this from the second time i'd recive a call.

I try to change rom with the new downloadable from HTC but nothing change.
The pda has 7 days life!!

Is there problem about software or is a factory defect?

It may be stupid, but:
did you removed a manufacture protection from the screen?

yes, i removed that and applied the real screen protector with holes over the second camera and the earpiece; i also have loaded the official rom for two times but nothing change.

is it possible that the sim card isn't compatible witrh the device? i'm in italy with a vodafone reloadable sim 64 KB.
