ive got to the point where the gprs connects as it shows a little [G] above the phones signal strength along with a big [G] to the left but i cant view any internet pages plus my tacking software wont connect to the gprs. Any ideas? does anyone know if the authentication is PAP or CHAP?

If you're on Pay as you Go then make sure you've got the proxy settings set up correctly or you won't see a thing.
Settings>Connections>Connections>Edit My Proxy Server
Tick the boxes > Advanced
HTTP: 193.113.200.195:8080
WAP: 193.113.200.195:9201
Socks: 193.113.200.195:1080
It's a wap proxy so you won't get full mobile internet access. You'll be able to view most websites but it's by not the same deal you get on a contract (Quickgps and most other apps won't update properly). This is a workaround for PAYG as O2 would rather have you believe it doesn't work at all with the £7.50 a month bolt-on!

I got the pda to see webpages now i dont know why people were saying the password was password when its actually payandgo. I think as its not full access to gprs i dont think my messaging program is going to work.

I've tried these settings, but although I get the small G and it says connected, when I try to open a page, it comes up with an error saying the connection was lost. Do I need to sign up for the bolt on before it will work, or is there something else I need to check?
