mxip_initdb.vol

Hi,

I'm having in the \windows directory a huge file of 16MB "mxip_initdb.vol".
Can anybody tell me what it is for and why we need it for.

I understood this held stuff like your numbers, call entires, calendar, tasks etc so deleting it probably isn't a good idea.
It's 16mb on mine too.

I'm sure there used to be a process to shrink it involving backing up, changing the file name and re-synching but I don't have the detail so I wouldn't try that!
Perhaps it's now a fixed size?
