Hey all,
I don't know how many people have used the new D3D drivers yet, but I just did it with an old Dutty's 6.1 Cube ROM, and oh my God it's like night and day! Just figured I would spam with this fact. Have a nice day :).

Are you sure it's not dutty's that is fast?

I think he meant to say the D3D drivers made the cube 'faster' than it was already.

I'm using slither's cube, and whether it's my imagination or not, it definitely seems faster. Maybe i'll take a video of both when i get the time, and make a real comparison.
This probably should be in the Kaiser Software forum, just for future reference. I'm sure a mod will move it for you though.

That is what i thought also. It could be the rom i'm using to Garmin's V2. I'm using his uno cube with the flash lite bundle. The pages flip almost instantly, it's very nice.

lawls, no. The C++ cube was created for the sole reason that there was no 3D acceleration (until recently). I'm talking about the actual cube. It's like greased lightning.
And technically this could go in software or ROM development, since D3D drivers I would consider part of the ROM and not software.

Dutty's rom is the cube from the Touch Dual. The FPS Cube. It has always been fast. You can edit the fastnes (fps) in the register....
It does not have anything to do with the drivers.

The drivers are only active for D3D applications. Cubes do not use D3D.
For now, only a few applications use D3D (mostly games).
