==FIXES==
For all versions - FInixNOver Multiple Message selection fix.cab
hello, great Rom. I'm unable to select multiple rows in contacts or messages. is there a fix for that?
For all versions - FInixNOver Screen Text Size fix.cab
Flashed 013TNYSTD.. ..when i change my text size to the setting 1 from smallest it does not seem to take effect but if i change it to smallest it does, any ideas on how to correct this?...
For Normal versions Only - FInixNOver Opera Mini Sign Fix.cab / FInixNOver Opera Mini for ROMs with Jbed.cab
To prevent this situation(to know more about this, read my answer at post #51 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2459386&postcount=51)):
Just one minor niggle. The version of Esmertec Jbed has changed (from blue to red logo) which means you now have to confirm twice that Opera Mini can access the net each time it's loaded. This was not necessary with the previous blue version.

Thank you in advance !
If you need a mirror I can provide one for some weeks. (send me an email if you want)
Also, I wanna know if there is any possibility to change by myself the keyboard into a French keyboard.
Doesn't matter if the phone is in English, but to write SMS in French with a English keyboard is very hard (coz of all those French accent). And I prefer not to install another cab.
P.S.: if I ever made a mistake, apologize, but I'm trying to improve my English

I remember posting an honestly valid question in this very thread as to whether this ROM may work with the p3600i, but it appears the over moderation has gone to work and removed my post.
If the over moderation does not calm down a little, I will no longer be donating my money to this forum or those CHEFs who deserve the money.

Yes you are right, your question really deserved an answer, but don't blame the moderator that cleaned the thread. He did it by my own request, because I've created the thread without posting the actual ROM just to let people know what was coming. And what was my surprise to see that people sometimes get trigger happy on the keyboard and start replying even when there's not much to say. I don't mean to offend anyone with this, because I really do like everyone's appreciation, comments and suggestions, but sometimes is best if we refrain from being impulsive an wait a bit longer...
Now to answer your question. I really can't say if it'll work on P3600i. You would have to test it out yourself, making sure you follow al the right procedures and take the necessary precautions.

(i bet you were worried for a bit...ehehehe)
Not really!:D Because I've had the opportunity to test all major functions, and everything seemed ok.
No, seriously, I took longer because of all the versions being released these days... It takes much time to keep up, so I waited for a while.

Does anyone know how to EDIT ipdialplan.xml in this ROM since it is read only. Can't even rename or delete!

OK!...
I KNOW these ROMs - any ROMS - take a lot of personal time and effort to produce... So any negative criticism should be handed out with care...
But I gotta say I'm quite disappointed with 3.5 so far.
Tried 3.5_Grey_Normal (I liked the theme from 3.4)... But its just, well, sluggish... Slow to respond to botton presses etc. right from a clean installation. When I tried to change some of the sound notifications to custom MP3 files (that I've used before in several other ROMs w/o any issues) I had to reset the unit to get them to register/de-regestir properly in the pull down lists.
When I realised the "big button" (Kaiser style?) dial pad was gone from this version (OK, personal preferences, I know) I decided to try the Green_Normal version instead... But similar story to above. I persisted with it and disabled HTC_Home plug before installing SPB Phone Suit and Cyberon Voice Speed Dial (my preferrred interface apps) but the phone all but ground to a halt!... Sluggish as hell!...
I dunno, maybe I need to try the Light version, but my inital reaction is that 3.5Normal isnt as good as 3.4Normal.
I may do some more testing but (you guessed it!) that takes time, which I dont have right at this moment. So for now I've reverted to something more stable as I really need a unit that works acceptably.
FInixNOver, I really like the styling of your ROMs so far, and your work is understandably popular. But so far I'm the only one who's put any negative feedback up, so I hope you'll take it in the spirit its intended.
Perhaps, out of interest, you could post some sort of History/Bug Fix list to show what's changed from 3.4 to 3.5?
Thanks for your efforts,

Just flashed "3.5 BlackLight" - excellent as always. Apart from the guaranteed stability and great performance that all of FInixNOver's ROMS provide, I am always drawn back to the great BLACK theme.
REQUEST: How about a WHITE theme? With summer here, screen reflection can be a total drag; none of the top XDA chefs seem to go for a white theme (with black text). Plenty of blues and greens... maybe there is a technical reason.
So if it is possible... FInixNOver 3.5WhiteLight... could be great!!

I gladly accept your feedback on the ROMs.
I can understand the sluggishness you're refering to. I guess the performance tweaks I implemented in this ROM are not as great as I expected them to be, because I wanted to make more RAM available but I guess it's not that good for speed then...
The dialer in gray ROM... Well I wanted to make the ROMs Gray and Green more alike, and i know that now some users may not like it anymore... (there's an old saying that goes like this: "damned if you do, and damned if you don't" meaning that there will always be someone unpleased by the choices I make...)

I really is a good idea, and I put some time and effort into it a while back, but came to the unfortunate conclusion that there are limits to what you can do. Many changes would be necessary to the task bar icons, system colors... I stopped trying to develop the idea because I wasn't able to get a satisfying result to what i was trying to achieve.
So, yes, I think we can say hasn't been done yet due to a technical reason.

Thanks for the reply. I did suspect as much as no one else seems to have come up with one either.
With the freeware "UI Tweaker" I seem to be able to tweak most colour settings, especially useful to get black title bars on themes that originally came with grey ones. (http://www.freewareppc.com/download/...itweaker.shtml)
I guess once you've gone black, there is no going back. :D

And in a way, I'm pleased to learn from you that there is a plausable explaination (different RAM optimisations) for the slow responses I observed.
Can you, therefore, comment as to whether the same is true for the LIGHT versions?
I know ROM & RAM resources are always a premuim on a device like the Trinity, but if forced into making a choice, I personally would much rather forfeit memory and keep my device speed maximal.

I use my HTC P3600 with sunglasses on  and nearly all time outside with sunshine... after some try i found that clear theme is not a solution...
you should use a very high contrast theme (the blue from tnyynt or the black from here) with light at the max (because with sunlight LCD become grey instead of clear). also as wallpaper/theme don't use a detailed one, the most simple will be the best... ENJOY SUMMER :)
BTW i still searching kitchen who work under windows server X64 without crashing, at this time there is no one here :p (ok maybe i will buy a shitty PC with XP lol only for cooking and synch )

Install after soft reset without having your device connected to activesync and without running messaging. The error is due to the file being in use, which is most probably caused by running Messaging in background or being connected to PC.

Thank you for your quick reply and fix. The cab fixes multiple selection in messages (email and SMS) however I am still not able to select multiple entries in my phonebook (contacts) for example if I want to delete multiple names.
Thanks
That's an easy one!
Open Contacts
Press Menu->Select Contacts->Several
Select the contacts you want and delete them, or whatever you want to do...
Hello. When i try install the cab FinixNover supply i got the message: "installation was unsucessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissons". Also, when in contacts, in the alphabetical index it's not possible select the third letter of each agrupment of letters. I can select contacts by "c" and "d" but not the "e" and so on. Thank you
The first part has already been answered by tnyynt. About the second part(alphabetical index), it's all working ok here, so you must have something else messing your system.

Theres a fix in post #3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2445709&postcount=3) to fix the text size settings in Start->Settings->System->Screen->Text size tab. Some of you may have noticed, some may not. It applies to all versions.
Just one minor niggle. The version of Esmertec Jbed has changed (from blue to red logo) which means you now have to confirm twice that Opera Mini can access the net each time it's loaded. This was not necessary with the previous blue version.
You are correct, I wanted to update to the latest (at least the latest one I've found :D ) version of Esmertec Jbed, so now you do have to confirm twice... unless you install the fix in post #3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2445709&postcount=3).
I've never used Opera Mini before, but I took the time to search a little, and try it for a while.
And what was my surprise when I came to the conclusion that there's nothing wrong with Esmertec Jbed.
The problem resides in Opera Mini installation files (jar and jad), since this is an unsigned, and therefore uncertified, Jbed has the need to make sure you really want to run it. I believe the blue Jbed(older version) had been patched to accept this kind of applications(I'm not sure if this afirmation is true, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).
Another way to fix this and still use the newer Jbed, is to sign Opera Mini, and that's what the fix does. The Opera Mini files must be in Windows\Appdb or else the fix will not work.
Also, I'm providing a cab with Opera Mini full installation for ROMs with Esmertec Jbed built in and the resources are in Windows\Appdb. It should work on all ROMs that have this requirement.
On further note, keep in mind that is best if you install this cab before any other java application, or you will have to reinstall your other applications after applying this cab(it has to do with file naming managed by Esmertec Jbed). To install by any other order, install by jar/jad files and then apply the fix above.
For the Light ROMs or any other ROM without Esmertec Jbed built in, the author of this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398567) thread, has provided an installation cab with Jbed+Signed Opera Mini.
Enjoy!!

It's weird, because it's the RUU i've always used and it's working fine here.
You can try unzipping some other ROM and replace the RUU_signed.nbh with this one, and then flash to see what happens.

I have tried both your nbh file in someone elses RUU and vice versa and I have also tried Akeo's ultimate edition rom but all give me the same message :(
Have you any other suggestions or shall I stick with WM6?
Thanks for being so helpful!

Have you tried the SSPL method? Download the SSPL-TRIN.zip found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293632), then unzip and copy the SSPL-TRIN.exe file to the ROOT of your SD Card.
Rename the RUU_signed.nbh file from the ROM you'd like to flash to TRINIMG.nbh and copy it to the ROOT of your SD Card.
Now use the Trinity's file manager and browse to the root of the SD card and run SSPL-TRIN.exe. If asked if you want to run the program, answer yes. Your phone will reboot. Press the power button when prompted.
This method Always works for me.

I just tried it on my phone... I think your's was not able to find the TRINIMG.nbh file. Make sure it is named correctly and copied to the ROOT of the SD card. Also, be sure you are not naming it TRINIMG.nbh.nbh Sometimes, the extension is not shown. Also verify your SD card is formatted FAT32. Will not work with other Formats.
When you do the SD method, you don't need to be plugged into USB. Just have the SD Card in your phone, make sure you've renamed the RUU file to "TRINIMG.nbh" (without quotes) and copied it to your ROOT of SD card, and copy SSPL file to ROOT and run it from the phone. (Be sure your battery is charged)
I have had occasion where it will not flash no matter what I do, and then I have to flash back to my OEM ROM. After that, I'm able to do the SD method to any ROM.
Keep in mind that the OEM ROM will likely overwrite your Radio also, so you will want to flash back your radio after the new ROM if you've done any updates to it.

I have VISTA on most of my computers, so SD method is the only one I use now. That way I don't run into compatibility issues during flashing. Also, I am able to store a number of ROM images on my SD card and flash them whenever I want, even if I don't have a computer around. :)
I've got an 8GB SD card on it's way now, so I should have PLENTY of room to store ROMS, Maps, Songs, Movies, etc... Hope it works! I've heard reports of it working, and reports of it not working. We'll see. :D

Make sure you don't have any process still running that may be eating up your memory. You can use the Task Manager for that.

yes, but I can't seem to figure out how or if you can setup up gmail through outlook mail so that the mail I open and check gets saved when I go into gmail.com. Last time I had it setup through pop3 settings and I'd check my mail through outlook but when I logged into my gmail account through gmail.com it showed mail as unread that I had deleted on my outlook and the mail i deleted on outlook didn't delete on gmail.com. And everytime I'd check for new mail it would download mail that I had already checked and delete, something to that effect.
I'd love to use it through outlook if there is a way to fix the above problems, until then I'll use the gmail java app since its fast and downloads only the mail you want to see which is good when trying to save gprs bandwidth.
thanks for the help.

Every version should work with this ROM as long as you install it to the device and not to the storage card.
If you take the time to read the 1st post in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334621) carefully, you'll realize that installing Windows Live to the storage card, will result on a non working installation.
