Does anyone here use a ppc app to track their car's gas mileage, oil changes, etc? I've found a couple, but so far I'm not thrilled with either. Anyone have a favorite (free or reasonably priced) app for this?

I was looking for such an app for calculating gas mileage. Here are my observations:

AutoLog (http://www.supware.net/AutoLog/) ($9.95): Great displayer of gas mileage and keeper of oil changes or other maintenance. Does not keep a history of trips. Can maintain multiple cars. Cannot put in notes with gas, but can with oil/maintenance/waypoints.

Car Buddy (http://www.pdainitiative.com/products/carbuddy/) ($24.95): Easily the most extensive in terms of what you can add. Has a trips manager, gas mileage, maintenance, and maintains multiple cars. Has a built-in calculator for calculating gas price, miles driven, etc. Kind of clumsy, though, as requires excessive stylus input. Can put in notes and categories (personal/business).

iambic Vehicle Manager (http://www.iambic.com/vehiclemanager/wmppc/) ($19.95): Overall best for fleet use. Can monitor everything and a clean interface. Not so great for fuel mileage, as requires you to do a Quick Stats to see the most basic of information.

Also, a few websites for fuel managing:

My Mile Marker (http://mymilemarker.com/)
fuelfrog (http://www.fuelfrog.com/)
MPGTune.com (http://mpgtune.com/)

I use Spritmonitor
http://www.spritmonitor.de/en/

It's not an application, but a website. You can directly point your Opera (or other PPC browser) to the site (bookmarked), or just write down the km/miles on your receipt (or as a note on PPC) and enter it once you reach a computer.. It easy enough for me and it features rich content and comparison to other vehicles. And above all, it's free of course!

You can also add favourites, like friends or other owners of the same type of car, and compete for the best mileage.
It's really the best solution.. until there's a PPC app that syncs with Spritmonitor..
