Can you please explain "Assertive Memory Management"? What is that? I like the fact that you striped the SXY version more. i.e. the clock. if people want the added features then they can just add them themselves. This should be a very good base to start with :D:D:D

Looks to be a nice, VERY CLEAN, sxy ROM. I too am curious about the "Assertive Memory Management". :D

Hello
In 011TNYSXY the foder Ms Office and System it's empty .
Yes, I know ludwig76 and this is not a bug! SXY is not supposed to have Office and Apps.
The folders are there because of customizations reasons. If users add later Office or System programs, then the icons would be default and not blue, so it would ruin the aspect.
If you don't want Office or System apps, delete the folders!

My experience is that this updated naked ROM works better now that PDA is not cooked in. With 005TNYSXY, I was having issues with slow bootups and it took a while for PDA to load, but with the new version it works perfectly (I installed it after the flash). So, great work!
On another note, I have asked FInixNOver for something and I thought I'd mention it to you, Tnyynt, as you two seem to be providing the most stable and bug free ROMS (and you are always around to help with any queries!) - How about a WHITE theme? With summer here, screen reflection can be a total drag; I've noticed that none of the top XDA chefs seem to go for a white theme (with black text). Maybe there is a technical reason?
So anyway, if it is possible, maybe you'd consider a White Theme in future versions.
As always, thanks for your time and great work, and cool to see you at Moderating status.
Mattster.

Hi,

The System folder should be empty because there are no System apps installed. If a user wants to install he can put shortcuts there. If there was not a System folder, then any later created System folder would not have been blue! If it is in your way, delete it.
You miss the task manager? I don't :D!
Now serious, there is no task manager included because you have no tasks to manage thanks to Assertive Memory Management! ;)

You can also use QuickMenu as start menu replacement, it contains white on background battery percentage like above, and optionally also the amount of ram free, and a lot of other nice stuff like task killing, hibernate and reboot.

1. downloadable from http://project.ionized.googlepages.com/pdc
2. will the slowness of ringtone caused by location? it's always slower if ringtone stored in SD card. try put in windows\rings.

Ok, I'm now finished with my First Day on the SXY ROM.
WOW! VERY fast, VERY clean...
The "Assertive Memory Management" is VERY assertive. I have to watch what I have running in the background, but I think I'll get used to it, and learn to like it very much. ALWAYS having FREE memory is pretty cool! :D
One thing I've run into that I'm wondering if anyone else has. I'm not able to select multiple items in my email. Normally, I would click and drag to select multiple, but I have not been able to do that. Is it just me?
Other than that, I've installed all my favorite software, without any problems or glitches. I'll give it a couple more days, and report back.
Thanks again tnyynt! Great Job! :D

If you are that much worried about running apps, install a Task Manager or even better, a Task Switcher!
You might not need it to close apps but to switch between running ones!
Also, apart from AMM, I have decided not to include any Task Managers because of 2 main reasons:
1. Each of them would slow down the device (can't run that fast :D);
2. Users have different tastes when it comes to anything and everything, especially TMs.

No, it's not just you, unfortunately it's a Build bug which is there in every 20270 ROM, may it be Trinity, Kaiser or Hermes.

As far as you not adding the Task Manager, I think that is a good decision. Your SXY ROM is nice and clean. This allows the user to pick and choose their preferred software, and install updates. Just the way I like the clean ROMs.
I think the email multiple select bug will be a small price to pay for this great ROM, and I'm sure someone will find a fix soon. :) Thanks Again!

I have a new favourite ROM, 011TNYSXY is brilliant and in my favourite colour..thanks tnyynt. I have been waiting for an all blue ROM for some time and now I have one, and it is fast and stable. No issues experienced yet, but a couple of questions/requests:
1 - could you share the calculator skin, or calculator cab and skin - however it comes please?
2 - I assume I need to install an MMS app as there isn't one included in the 011TNYSXY version?
Great work, thanks!

I'm happy with the UI response and apps in the standard release.
Noticed that "Asssertive Memory Management" will close off background application in order to cater memory for newly launched apps.
Is there a configurable pattern to it?

Yes, you need MMS software of your choice!

What ASM does is, in short, simply close apps that are being closed while tapping X or OK and also releasing up memory taken up by app residues. So if you don't want to close an app, minimize it with Start\Today.

1. downloadable from http://project.ionized.googlepages.com/pdc
2. will the slowness of ringtone caused by location? it's always slower if ringtone stored in SD card. try put in windows\rings.
No, the default ringtones in their defualt locations are delayed.
Ringtones from SD or MP3 takes so long that before i hear it ringing the caller has already hung up.
I have found the fix! it might need a little editing to work correctly on WM6.1, but one user posted that it decreased the delay to only 1 second on the HTC Diamond
Here it is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=258109&highlight=ringtone+delay

I'm sorry my friend, but calling from another operator to my Trinity on my operator resides in 1.5 seconds delay to a Riger on the SD Card (that is approximately 0.75 rings in earpiece in the device speaker initiating the ring).
That fix you found: install at own risk!
You should really try a ringer on your device if you have a slower card or upgrade your radio because ROM has no issues!

Strange, i am using the default settings of the sexy rom, i have not changed anything.
i had the same problem on other roms, i have also tried different radio roms, at the moment i am using 1.56.70.11, the phone does wake up immidiately as the calling phone starts to ring..
------------
EDIT:
When i select "Ring Standard" instead of "Ring vision" there is a 1 second delay, which is normal for HTC phones, so i guess its just that "Ring Vision" has issues

Common fixes:
1. Remove annoying sounds (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2434564&postcount=113) (End Key (RED key) sound, Call Key (GREEN key) sound, Call History and Speed Dialing sounds).
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
suggestion: change the USSD sound to *none*, it's also annoying (it's like getting the new sms sound each time you select a menu item).
update:
To remove the USSD sound, delete the "P" from HKCU\Control Panel\Sounds\USSDBuzz

The only other problem i have is that rate that you are turning out these great ROM's, just as i get used to one and have it set up that way i want you release another and i just can't help but try it.
Seriously though keep up the great work :)

The System folder should be empty because there are no System apps installed. If a user wants to install he can put shortcuts there. If there was not a System folder, then any later created System folder would not have been blue! If it is in your way, delete it.
You miss the task manager? I don't :D!
Now serious, there is no task manager included because you have no tasks to manage thanks to Assertive Memory Management! ;)
...ok for memory Issue I fully agree with you! But I often use wlan, for that reason the task manager shows me my IP, i can ping an ip ...

For showing/renewing your IP address you can use Wireless LAN in Settings/Connections.
But there is no use in talking more on this.
Feel free to use whatever Task Manager you like!
I did not include any because AMM and slowdown issues!

hey dude, first of all, i appreciate your efforts and supports on trinity rom so much. maybe you know that your rom is so popular in wm6.1 forum in china.
secondly, my question, where could i get mms composer software? actually i could not find a right place to download the latest arcsoft mms composer by google for english and baidu for chinese, or i could not find a right way to install and use it even if i found some old version occasionally. does it need some *.reg file? obviously i am using your 011 sexy babe.
any advice about arcsoft mms composer or other mms software?

To change the font size throughout the ROM, edit the registry at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Stylus\96DPI
Change the value of "CurFont"= to hexadecimal
dword:00000258 -> Smallest
dword:000002BC -> Smaller
dword:00000320 -> Normal/Default
dword:000003E8 -> Larger

Decimal correspondent to Hex:

dword:700 -> Smaller
dword:800 -> Normal/Default

As far as I'm aware, that's normal on all the Trinity ROMs. It takes a moment for the Power system to read the battery level and report it to the screen. I don't believe it's a bug.
Anybody correct me if I'm wrong... :)

Looked at this but it was already set to 700 and did not affect the appearance, i also noticed that there is no change in the screen control panel when sliding from normal to smaller but it does change when moving to smallest, the same works the other way as well. i did a bit of digging around in the registry and came up with this
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\V1\FontAlias]
"version"=dword:0009000C
"Tahoma:16"="Tahoma:-13"
"MS Sans Serif:-13"="Tahoma:-9"
"Arial:-14"="Tahoma:-12"
"Tahoma:-11"="Tahoma:13"
"Tahoma:-9"="Tahoma:13"
which looked like it could be part of the issue but i need to compare it to another unaffected ROM, so this is a request for anyone running one of the earlier ROM's to check and see what reg settings they have here, don't really want to reflash my phone to find out

Haven't seen that in any of my ROMs! ...thus it is not normal behaviour!
...but I bet that being a SEXY ROM, you have installed 3rd party apps and I also bet that one of them is responsible for the battery icon. Think about what you have installed.

Not sure if this is peculiar to me.
Background apps(GPS logger,Opera,IE,tccmd, etc) get closed(by AMM?) when S2U2 kicks in.
Went back to 007TNYSTD as I am not used to "Assertive Memory Management" closing my background apps when apps switches.

It only closes apps on X tap only. Otherwise they are in background. Check for running apps! Or, anyway, too late, you jumped and switched.

The thing is that I did not tap X on any of the apps. It just closes an app randomly whenever S2U2 triggers or when another app is launched; could be to release memory for the newly launch apps.
Just thought that if this behaviour is verified, then it could be a problem for some folks using it as a GPS logger or similar usage.

Did it ever cross your mind that maybe it's just an issue with S2U? Great app but has lots of bugs and incompaibilities reported!
Check for behaviour without S2U.
I begin to have a deja-vu and same feeling I always have when I say I cannot vouch for third parties.

I talk about the X button that close or reduce app, the one that is install on Tntsxy 5 is very slow to open to view the current tasks. I install Htc task manager 2.1 (the one with big icon) over it. It works better. The behavior with the closing app is for exemple I'm looking the web with IE and open Total Commander, IE close itself, but if I tap the X button to reduce and then open TC, IE still open.

All in all works great. But I do have a problem with coming back from unlock of the device or the device off.
It can freeze the screen completly after coming back (using device off from Battery Status) or hide the start toolbar at the top of the screen coming back from Unlock, having to softreset the device completly in order to restore and unfreeze the device.
Anyone have simillar problems?
Edit: Same happens when I try to lock the device via Battery Status. I can tap on unlock at the bottom but when I tap Unlock on main screen it will freeze the screen completly. Same happens when I get back from Screen Off. Is this a ROM problem or the Battery Status problem? I am using same Battery Status version of my Kaiser without any problems.

Great work - fast, stable, good looking. Compliments to the chef :-).
1. I am not very sure about "Assertive Memory Management" - i didn't notice to free up memory. Maybe in time ( I have version 013TNYSTD only for a day). -It's only o observation, not a complain. :-)
2. PocketRar it's not working.
3. About the camera - "Cyberon Voice Speed Dialer v1.2_build_61226 mess up the settings for hardware buttons. It's not a rom bug.
Sorry for my english.
1. If you did not notice it that means it is working correctly and you have never ran out of memory. It should keep it at he level of 24 MB free RAM (at least it keeps my config there)
2. It is working for me
3, Shit happens with third party apps
awww... another great rom!!!
i just flashed mine with your previous version... now i'd have to reflash your great new rom!
is there any chance for you in the future to have black/grey theme?
PLEASE? :D
You have FInixNOver's ROM for that ;)
All in all works great.
Try testing the device lock/unlock, sleep/resume without Battery Status. If it works, then you have found the guilty part! For me it's working as it should (that is without Battery Status).

Yes, but I like your SXY rom, i don't need other software to bloat my phone.
Also, just realised, SXY doesn't come with Calculator
Calculator (IMO) is a must on EVERY ROM!!!!

Yes. Without Battery Status both are working. And as stated before I am using Battery Status fine on my Kaiser with lock and screen off working as it should. Could be the problem is just with your ROM. Can you test this yourself please and maybe find where the problem is? It's a nice app and it also includes task manager so no need to the HTC Task Manager installation. Shame that it doesn't work in this ROM.

Okay i have flashed the sexy version.
I have installed HTCPLUS and QUICKMENU
1 minute after startup i have 27m of ram.
???????
Strange, so i rebooted the phone and opened and closed all applications 1 by 1 and they all returned memory to 27m.
So the problem i was seeing with ram getting lower and lower must be a combination of multiple applications in ram, it won't be as easy to point to the culprit as i thought

Hello tnyynt
I am using 013TNYSTD, the standard one.
It's a great ROM, very good job, congratulations.
I just have a question and a possible bug.
Question: how can you know at a point, the amount of memory that is being used? I have Oxios memory installed, and sometimes I run it, and it releases a few and tells me what memory is used at that point.
Possible bug: when starting up (boot time is excellent, by the way) when asks to insert PIN, it disapears in 1 or 2 seconds and it gives me not enough time to insert the 4 numbers... then it goes to today without a connection and I have to open comm manager, turn phone off, then turn phone on again and then insert PIN, and this time it doesn't go away after 2 seconds, it just waits for you to press the buttons, like it should be at the first place.
Anyone noticed this, or is just me?
Anyway, congratulations for a great work, I think I'll stick to this ROM for some time, it's great.
bye

Sometimes I have the same problem (I'm using the STD version), but instead of using the comm manager, I only push the green button, and it ask me the PIN number, so it's not very annoying.
And I noticed (I don't know if it's only coincidence) but for the only times I've done a soft reset, the "PIN screen" disappears only if I've not begin to enter the PIN code after 3 seconds.

Hello Behemot
Just to tell you that it happens to me after soft resets and I tried both things: quickly insert PIN, but it goes away before I finish it. I also tried to wait and not inserting PIN to see what happened, but it's the same thing, it disapears after 2 seconds.
Anyway that shortcut (pressing green button) is better than through comm manager, thanks for the tip.

It's not a ROM issue and it's not a Radio issue. I am using same ROM and same Radio and Wifi works perfectly. Also, I believe that if it would have been a ROM issue, users would have reported this much earlier. Check for any other apps that might compromise Wifi, if not then try reflashing!

I tried but without success. I suspect that addresses are wrong in compiling the ROM. To be more specific, addresses are correct for 3600 but don't work with 3600i.
As for learning how to cook, there are plenty tutorials on the forum and also all the tools you need are one click of the search button away!

You have to go to Settings->Connections->Wireless Lan, and change the power mode to best performance. I have the same problem with my router, with all ROMs, whether they're WM5, WM6, WM6.1, original or cooked. It's not even Radio ROM dependent. It has to do with the router.

After switch off the flight mode > setting (lower right corner) > phone > services ( for cxl call forward). The problem is from entering the setting > phone. In your ROM it will pop up a message say that have to wait for 15 sec cause the phone is not ready. But in FN3.4 it go almost instantly:p

Just for the record, I was able to recreate the 15 second wait message that you talk about rw2902. But in tnyynt's defense, it was not easy using the directions you posted. I had to re-read them MANY times, something I'm sure tnyynt is too busy to do, (with his job, personal life, cooking, and maintaining this forum). I believe it might have been a problem in translation, (getting words in front of each other incorrectly).
Personally, I don't see the couple seconds as that much of an inconvienence, but if you were used to it the other way, then maybe so....

Thanks SuperSport, I have consulted with a friend and I have recreated it too. It is normal behaviour, it is time taken from GSM radio initialization untill Finding and Registering Service. I find it hard to believe any other ROM would make a difference since it is not even a device issue, it is a carrier thing. But if I am wrong, then switching to other roms is always an option, also learning how to cook!

Greetings tnyynt. Thank you for the time you spend reading and commenting about your ROM, on top of the endless time spent of making it.
I have been running the naked tnyynt011 ROM for few days. It is true it has a superb memory management and as far as cooking I think a great job was made, and for that I am regretful. However, the comments about 3rd party apps that cause all sort of issues, as much as are true statements, are not comforting, as we all add with the UC some cabs, and the ROM is merely the platform to run apps...
I would like to report the following: My phone shows 22.5-23.1M free RAM when I start iGO8. I use default skin, and I have CA (USA) map with 3D DEM file, POI, and the usual setup. Normally 20M are required to run this setup (I know it from experience). Having 22M free memory or above should have it run flawlessly. However, on rout recalculation, sometimes I lose information from the screen. It does not redraw the maps correctly or at all. It does not crash, but it does not work as smooth as I wanted it to be. For a comparison, I flashed yaka's 3.13 lite, and I do not have the problem. I have the same exact cabs installed, and the same exact setup. The only difference is the ROM. I like sxy more for many reasons, but unfortunately for me, iGO8 is a very useful tool, and I can't have it crash/stuck/slow down on me.
So yes, Battery status, mem maid, HTC home are all 3rd party apps that may affect your neat ROM, but we all are using those and even if it defeats your 011 purpose, I believe I am no different than others, using your naked version and completing it with the UC features to get it as close as possible to be customized.
So for now i am with yaka's 3.13 until you post tnyynt014...
thanks again.

Ok thanks. I'm happy with that answer :)
I just remembered that on the last ROM i flashed (FInixNOver 3.5), it also happened, but only once, so it could be not a ROM problem. Maybe it's a radio or hardware problem or some program I installed, but I've been installing the same programs for quite some time and quite some different ROM's, and never happened...
So I have to ask you to be alert on this and see if you can find out something about this.
Also I ask everyone who tried this ROM (013, standard) if this ever happened or is just me...
But this is the only "so-called" bug I found so far, this is an excellent ROM, memory is better that I had before, battery drain, everything great so far.
Congratulations

With FiNixNOver 3.5 ROM happened the same problem with the PIN, only once, but maybe an OS BUild version bug?? FiNixNOver and your ROM share the same OS Build version. I have not installed anything different than in your other ROM releases.

I still don't know what caused the problem. Maybe reflashing solved it, but I didn't try that (should have).
Anyway I installed the new standard 017 and that problem doesn't happen now.
Great job with this new ROM. In my opinion, in a short time yet, I think the memory is better and found no bug yet. The only thing I have to test is battery drain, but it seems ok in first impression.
