My Versions of the CE OS 5.2.20275 (Build 20273.1.3.3) WWE ROM based on the new HK WWE 1.93.831.1 ROM but ported with the new XIP OS Build 20275. I´ve added the newer NetCF 3.5 & SQL Mobile 3.0 plus all the latest HTC Apps!! Thanks to imobile.tw for supplying the OS build.

These ROMs are fast and stable with the NetCF & SQL Mobile 3.5, some registry tweaks to increase performance & disable the security warning when installing non-certified application.

Contains newer/stable TouchFlo3D 1.1.34575.0 & Opera 9.5 Build 1938

You need to run the OliNex Unsigned Hard-SPL (Developers Edition) or jockyw2001's HardSPL 1.24 first (if you have not done so already) before you proceed to flash the new custom ROM!!!!

I agree completely... been playing around with this one for a couple of days now and it seems fast and stable. I agree with your comment on the main thread that there´s a fair amount of memory leakage but I haven´t had any problems related so here´s the release. The only way is to make these things better is to test them so hence the release.

Concerning the memory leakage, it0s good to know that somehow you fixed it. That's another good news!

Just as an add-on to the memory leakage, strange enough, I installed today the oficial UK version of the same rom you used (HK version), and the memory leakage is much much much less...:confused:

Chris is the first this weekend to release a build on the new ROM and for SURE there will be at least 4 similar releases by end of Sunday:eek:


What I would like to see (hope for) is that the other CHEF's look into this ROM first and identify together with the crowd-users the bug's in order build their own releases without possible bugs.

As such, respect to Christonge to deliver in such a short notice a cooked new build, but being the first also means he will have to deal with all redundant questions and remarks :(

Like ; Is TEETER still inside ? :D ....

Will also wait a while to see how this one is being perceived by the crowd.
Memory leak - Active sync bug- A2DP/AVRCP support for 3rd party applic's just to name a few things I wanna know first if they are swept out in this build.

Just like the previous question regarding the TouchFlo3D, I think Teeter is what makes this device so to remove it would be a crime :p

There´s still memory leak there but no worse than any other build I´ve used for cooking and certainly hasn´t effect it´s preformance for me so far....As for the pagepool I haven´t changed it at all in this build.

The newer version of Manila have the usual animations on each tab but reduced animations between tabs... but it´s a vast improvement in speed and stability and as much as I liked the first version this is way more practical without loosing too much wow factor!

i've always been looking for a light version of the default rom... ppl always create roms with programs that i don't use and it becomes an eye sore to have such programs on my mobile...

i think that the best rom is one with only essential updates with everything else removed... therefore this rom is much better than any other rom available becos it allows you to customise your own rom...

since it is already bare minimum, you only add what you really want

Installed around 5 regular apps plus Diamond Tweak, Diamond TF3D Config and Nadavi Call History and so far this ROM is as stable and quick as the HK Asian ROM but with a LOT more free storage RAM.

Slight bug, in the Programs menu the icon for Help is still there but the files have been removed. There may be others. I'll click through all icons tonight and report back.

Otherwise a fantastic ROM and just what I needed.

Yeah perhaps in the near future I´ll get around to doing something like Alex has on the Kaiser forum which is a stripped down basic ROM and all the OEM packages so people can cook in what they want. But that will have to wait until I have my hols the week after next ;)

No, to cook a ROM you need to use the Kitchen... it takes a while to get to grips with it but if you keep trying and reading you´ll get there ;)

Nothing much just cleaned up a few more picture files and removed the Help Icon from the program menus. But you can remove the Help Icon yourself if it´s annoying using File Explorer in Windows/Start Menu/Programs and delete the help icon. I just forgot so now it´s sorted in Beta2....

overall, great rom!
unlike my previous which hung like 2x per day, this has yet to hang on me all day despite some serious internet surfing...

everything is removed which is good... i've added back some stuff like ms live, opera... but the trouble of adding these back beats having to see really irritating and useless programs like help and other programs that other cooks simply love to put in

overall i'm extremely pleased to have used this rom and the only reason i'll flash to another rom would be either:
- a new rom base comes out
- christonge creates a new rom with TF3d removed

other than that... 5 stars for this rom!!!
if all the other cooks had made this in the first place, nobody else would need to build another cooked rom :)

Cheers mate... as I said in an earlier post I would like to eventually do something like the guys did on the Kaiser thread and post a kitchen with a really stripped base ROM and everything there in OEMs packages so people can cook there own custom ROM, but it will have wait until my hols.
If I have some spare time tomorrow I will try to produce a Lighter version without Manila, if not it will have to wait til Monday. Sunday is a difficult one with family stuff etc ...

My issue is not with the actualy kitchen but the rar file wont extract everything, most of the .bat and.cmd files(56 to be exact). I get an access denied error message.

I am using Vista so it probably has something to do with permission as fecking per usual on Vista even though I am signed as administrator

Last Cooked rom I tried fried my radio...sure you all heard about muritta radio? well that was after the problem went on for 2 weeks and I had to send in - of course we found solution next day after I sent in so I was without my htc cruise for almost 3 weeks....anyways about this rom. It rocks. The lite version is perfect. well nothing perfect. But so far fiddling around with it for over 12 hrs and all my 60+ proggys work and the speed is way better than anything else out so far and memmory leak is minimal. Everything works perfect for me. also super fast. The only problem i had so far is hotmail will not config on tf3d but thats becuase windows live was taken out. this can easily be fixed by installing a cab. I just wanted to say cheers. I know you did it supper fast but so far its the best work I have ever seen. All necessary apps are incl. runs perfect out of box....i just hate the cyb voice shit....always used to voice command....thanks again and bravo and keep up the asskicking quick work!!!!

delete help.lnk
you might want to delete msn messenger.lnk too if its there

no need to wait for lite beta 2 now since you can do it yourself

And by the way, I don't know if you have noticed, but I'm very critic and demanding from the roms I use, and I'm with your rom now, and I have to say that IT'S BY FAR THE BEST ROM FOR DIAMOND I tried until now :eek:

My job demands high responsability and availability...my mobile is my sword, and my laptop, is my horse...and your rom is the ONLY one I tried until now, that I trust and will continue to use. All others, for one motive or the other, I always had to revert back to the oficial rom... :(

If this is your first, then I wonder how the new releases will look like when you're more experienced on this device...:rolleyes:

This is the first custom ROM that i'm using on my MDA Compact 4.
WOW!! What a difference, i can't beleave it...i have the feeling that my overall experience with the phone is 2x as fast as with the stock ROM... :)
Even WM6.1 feels more snappy.

I can't tell this custom ROM is faster than the other custom ROMs, because it is the first one I've used.

I'm using the Full version for now, it has the basic applications i need. I only installed GoogleMaps, Tweak TF3D, Tweak Diamond.

It´s a newer version of WM6.1... and on testing certainly seems more responsive and quicker. Apart from that I haven´t changed anything as the previous Beta2 was solid. ;)

That was Beta2... I will post the links for older ROMs once I have the new links up. This Beta3 ROM is exactly the same with just an updated SYS folder from the newer build of WM6.1. Will have the Beta3 posted in the next 15mins as long as rapidshare doesn´t drop :rolleyes:

As it says on the first post the SYS for this new release is taken from a newer WM6.1... it certainly feels quicker, stable and the battery life (certainly for me) seems to be a little better.

Update... posting Final Beta4 which is the same as my Beta3 ROM but with all the latest HTC apps added. I think this will be hard to beat until we have a new ROM to work with. It´s extremely stable and very fast with the latest SYS OS and now the latest OEM packages. Thanks to everyone for their support with my first Diamond ROMs......especially Dutty & Panosha who are a true gents.

hey, i'am downloading lite version beta 4. I will test it and give some feedback. What i'm looking the most is to see the improvement when two or three programs are running in background at the sametime. (skype, wefi, opera). Normally is doing that when all the reliability goes down.

1. activesync is in my ass all the time...every time i check the task manager i find it in the background.
2. settings/sound&notifications/notifications missing the event MMS and/or SMS. i usually apply a "play sound" and "display message on screen" but this events do not appear in the window anymore. got only "messaging:new e-mail message" and "messaging:new text message".
not a big deal 'cose when receiving an sms i do receive the notification/sound i choose for "new text message".

I just tried flashing the beta 4 full version rom on my device.. The flash went perfectly fine.. But after that when the device is booting up for the first time.. It gets stuck at the cuztomization screen !!!.. Specifically while loading the opera application files.. So i removed the battery and restarted the device... It turns out that everythin is fine.. JUST THE OPERA AND TF3D applications are missing from the device !!!... Any body got any suggestions or ideas... to get it sorted out ?!?!... please help !!!

i am glad to inform you that i have no more lag problems! yesterday i flashed with CT´s Light FINAL Beta 4 and i have the perfect GPS. using Radio 1.00.25.05 and iGO8.
0 (Z E R O) lag!!!! my GPS is always spot on. don't ask me why ...just happened. i drove some 50 KM today almost half where in town.
i even used (in the same time) my athena that never let me down and i had the pleasure to hear from both (diamond and athena) the instructions in the same time.:D
i don't dare to ask why or how but happened after yesterday's flash. don't think it is a coincidence.... ;)
i did a hard reset after finished flashing.

This is not an Orange ROM so doesn´t have any of the Orange customizations... it´s a standard "unbranded" HTC ROM.

It's a very easy reg edit as indicated

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\gwe\menu\popfnt
and change the value for the "Ht" entry to "1000" or "900" decimal (from 1200) depending on your preference.

HI, I am also missing the FM Radio application icon. It is not in the programs. When I did a search for it, the closest I can find is FMRadio.exe.0409.mui.

Looks like a great rom.. the one I'ld love to have. Problem is SIM Manager is useful and important so hope you can put it back in there... and I wonder what else you've removed... would be really nice if we could see the full list. Thanks for a great job.

SIM manager is in the full version and there´s the list of what´s out of each ROM is on the first page. If you want to add SIM manager to the light just take these files attached and use File Explorer or your PC to

1. Unpack the zip
2. Put the SIM_MGR.exe file into the windows folder
2. Put the SIM_MGR.lnk shortcut file into Windows/Start Menu/Programs folder

that´s all and then you´ll have the working SIM manager in your programs menu ;)

Anyway downloaded it to keep in case I switch to Lite.
I get abit worried whenever I see "... and a few other things" in the removed list cos I might miss something when I need it later then realise it's not in the rom!:eek:

[EDIT: resolved. my fault] I noticed Contacts is missing from Programs? I created a shortcut myself so that's fine. ;)

But more importantly, I'm not able to see SIM contacts anymore. Whether Advanced Config shows enabled/disabled didn't make any difference. Is this a new 'feature' of new OS? I personally need to see my SIM contacts as I dont copy them to phone contacts. Help..

i have been searching for a cab or tweak for this. when i disconnect the activesync and within minutes it comes up again. is there a way to really cose the activesync when TD not syncing with PC?
I know some of the other cooked ROMs have this built it.

You're right again. Contacts is back in Programs once I remove from Menu.. been using PPC for years and I never knew that icons toggle between the 2 places!! :eek:

As for SIM contacts. My problem is the records in SIM card simply don't show up when I launch Contacts. The only records are 5 contacts I created in the phone, not saved in the SIM (this is so I can attach photos to those 5 people). The 50 SIM records also don't show when Phone is launched and I scroll down the list. This never happens before. I've already enabled 'Show SIM contacts' and reset. Perhaps another setting somewhere conflicts. Hope you can help.:(
The only way to see SIM records now is using SIM mgr.


EDIT: Double checked with PHM Edit that HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone - DWORD value "ShowSim" is set to 1. I even deleted ShowSim and reset, still the same.

As for the ring tones they were removed. You can add a new sound yourself buy placing it in a folder then select and hold until the pop up menu appears and then select "Set as ringtone"

It's the Full version I'm talking about actually. Sorry didn't make it clear earlier. Thanks for looking into it. If there's no solution for me or it's definitely part of the OS 'fix', then nothing wrong with your rom I'll change the way I manage my contacts.

Strange about the ringtones, I found Ring-Innovatin in windows folder.. so why the error. Anyway very small matter will ignore that.

Must say your improved but not overly-personalised rom works really well for me. Just a quick install of windows live and adobe reader and it suits my needs completely. Thanks CT!

I got a problem with the keyboards.

On compact qwerty, it shows the letters but it types only numbers.
On full qwerty i can only chose numbers.

So the full keyboard is the only working layout.

From now there are three reasons possible for breaking the layouts.

Made setting for email accounts

Copying ringtones from musikfolder to ringtones

Can't get it hang with WMP!! I've been trying for the last hour... I suggest a hard reset and see if it's still happening. I must admit I never usually use WMP always use the HTC Audio player and with the newer build in this ROM I never have any problems. Chris

No... I tried the camera firmware from the Raphael but I had a few problems with the autofocus so I stuck with the 31516 build from the HK ROM. But I´ll see what I can do ;)

Maybe later.......but really it´s not really necessary because I´m sure you know what most of the ROM looks like... I´m not big on skins or backgrounds as it´s really a personal thing. Although I did include the calc skin as it was really essential... the original is horrible. Apart from that the ROM has a "standard" look.

I´m using .05 as I find it the most stable here on Orange in Spain but really it´s a matter of where you are. No radio is included with this flash it´s your choice, but I recommend .05 ;)
