I recently went to make a phone call on my Cavalier (HTC Branded) and it did not navigate. The buttons didn't work. So I tried to soft reset. No dice. I also took out the batt for an overnight period. It turned on and about 20 alarms were going off at once. Absolutely no way to do anything on the device. I need to hard reset the device, but cannot navigate to "clear storage". How can I Hard reset the device without having to navigate. It is completely messed up. Apparently HTC doesn't support this model...hmmm. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The best bet may be to flash a new rom. Check out the wiki (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Cavalier) for a link to the roms (ftp://xdaxda@ftp.xda-developers.com/Uploads/Smartphone/Cavalier/Shipped_Complete_Updates/Dopod/)
I'm running
RUU_Cavalier_DOPODASIA_WWE_1.16.707.7_1.43.50.00_1 08_Ship.exe
I also found this:http://www.asktheadmin.com/2008/06/htc-cavalier-dopod-c730-brought-back-to.html
Might be worth a try
