Thanks, Dutty - you've done it again and this time better than ever!
Flashed 2.5 Lite, tested every function I use and everything works stable and FAST. You've done excellent job.
There's a catch as always, of course - you've changed the meaning of "good ROM" from now on, so you'll need to do even more to satisfy us, your loyal but hungry users...:)
thanks if you have the activesync issue popping up all the time jsut add replog.exe to exclusive list in task manager

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=432951
i had to uninstall it because i couldn't use TouchFlo.
I get the same problem,had to uninstall it as i couldnt scroll through the touch flo 3d menu at the bottom of the screen.

Hello
Just started with this room after a good experience with 2.3 and I´m unable to create a new mail account, in the screen where I have to input the "User Name" the keyboard do not work on the User Name field but it does in the Password field, so the process is stopped
Is there any workarround to this, I can't work without my mail.
Thanks a lot and regards.
Pere Viader
Fixed: It works with the "Extender keyboards" but not wit the "standard" one.

Try this my friend go into task manager and add active sync or replog.exe whichever shows and add to exclusive item :)
Hi Dutty...nothing new or bad here .Only everything working beautifully.
I feel a bit of nostalgia of touch3d config, but nothing serious.
Now for the ActiveSync, since 2.2 to realize that when i plug the USB cable, the actsyn opens on pc, the diamond connects, I can operate the unit, but when it begins to synchronize, running indefinitely ... I can managed all the files thas i want.Tryed check and uncheck the connection in active sync, but has not changed.
When into the task manager, there is no running program or the alternative of adding one ....that's a problem?
ps:The wireless stereo engage by yourself now.

I still dont understand ,as I use vista and syncronise without any issues, with all connections .
You might want to delete all your existing partnership with active sync resstart ur device and computer then create a new partnership.
If activesync is running when connected it should show replog.exe in htc task maanger, you have to go into settings click task maanger >> running and add to exclusive if it doesnt show it might have already assign to task manager already

Thanks duttythroy
It worked with the extended keyboards, but not with the "reduced/standard/compact", I was referring the the 3 or 4th screen where you have to enter again the Account name, many thanks for the quick answer.

I was using the 2.3a rom, then earlier updated to 2.5 rom, i always untick the advanced bit for activesync first. and i did get the error that was mentioned already, but then i tried it again with the advanced ticked and it worked. Then i restarted and now it works with the advanced unticked. So maybe a small quirk ?
Anyway this is almost like the perfect rom for the diamond. It's a shame i can't get on with built in speaker really, just find it very high frequency and bright. My friend may be buying it off me, my old orbit has such a good sound and lots more volume from the speaker.
Nothing to with this rom by the way.
Anyway keep up the good work duttythroy, your roms are so good. :)

I always use the default connections and using vista never notice it, but I think its just a small quirk or possibly to do with the new usb drivers I use,
anyways thanks, I will keep on working on any quirks from this rom

thanks, I like to experiment a bit although I'm liking the keyboard myself as some apps when typing before you could hardly see what you were writing but now its much better, I have big fingers and still can type fast so users with small fingers should do better.
If you guys prefer the old keyboard I can do that for any future release:)
I vote to keep it, really like it

i just test the rom without my registry and keyboard now sticks after a soft reset also works with creating new mail with any of the keyboard, but this will works behind the back ground, major thing for me is tha tthe rom is fast and so far stable, bluetooth confirms now works and will look closely here for any other bugs

well...in the settings>task manager: with the syncronize running, doesn't show any program in running programs list. The exclusive only shown (wlmmessenger.exe).
I have no option to add a programs here.
In Programs>system tools> taskmgr: repllog.exe appears in Processes with 320kb memory usage, but in the cpu usage, it show me 0.0.
Opened the activesync on the diamond, it show me status not syncronized..
I'm using xp, after flashed,and now after delete the touch in the pc active, they rebuild the connection, but the same occours...

running the activesync problems help, the check list doesn't found the device ip, and the pc-device connection.....
Again..if I turn off and turn on the cable, I can see and explore the device...
Let go...I'm happy this way...
I have a diamond, he's fast and help me a lot....thanks again

i know people will tell me it's not a good idea but has anyone successfully managed to backup all stuff when upgrading to a new dutty rom? I so hate to go through the hassle of reconfiguring and recreating all my settings and installing all my programs.
I'd like to backup not just the contacts, emails, etc (i use PIM backup for that) ... i'm also interested in backing up the installed programs and general settings and customizations such as the wifi connections, etc or at least the configurations (I can live with reinstalling the programs)
I know of SBP Backup v2 but haven't yet tried it. Any recommendations for dutty's ROMs?
Cheers

Hardreset:
With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ***ENTER buttons***, then press the RESET button with the stylus tip. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until you see this message on the screen.
which one is the "enter button"?
and the second question
when your device is on and you dont have any application on what is your CPU usage? mine is always between 50-60 sometimes even higher, is that normal? couse i have a xperia now to and the CPU usage is only 18

iguidance v4 takes a long time to load. like over a minute!
for some reasons when i use connections -> use server-assigned addresses, it takes 2-3 minutes to load.
but if i change it to use specific ip address, 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1, it takes 8 seconds to load.

new OS builds come out, apps get updated
(by Microsoft, HTC...etc)... the world of
electronics & technology moves on amazingly fast
... and here's a man who keeps us UP-TO-DATE
So what's it you're suggesting? do u suggest that he'd better stop keeping us up-to-date?
I'm suggesting more changes before releasing a new version. And definitely more testing.

Very good rom, thank you. Apart from the obvious speed increases there are alot of subtle changes that I like e.g. when you highlight anything in the home screen the green highlight used to stay until you move up and down but now no more. Also calendar now stays in month view after I select it from options etc etc. I am extremely pleased with this rom- well done

Yes I'm still surprise that apr 29th rom is still going strong still , thats a long while back so i guess it did had its strong points only needs the 2d manila for it.
For now just minor fixes if any and leave this rom out there for a awhile , we still got people moaning about daily rom, my goal howerver was to make a fast , stable , reliable rom with bug fixes which gets fixed and I'm near to that goal so we diamond users can enjoy:cool:

I must point out though that on both my bluetooth devices, lg car stereo and my motorola s9 headset the sound now has a ringing in the background (sounds the same as if youve been to a concert and have ringing in your ears).
I hate to have some negativety to my first post but its only so you know. the previous version 2.03a didnt have this.

Working fine here even the email now. However this 'snappy' version of TF3D seems a lot more juddery than even the ones with animations to my mind. Sure it shifts between tabs but I'm finding I'm never quite sure what tab it's going to! Seems to react to single presses on icons a lot faster than I would like and having no animations on even the icon bar throws me off a touch.
Is there any way to reg some of the animations back in or have they all been removed - not certain how this TF3D thing all comes together.

Hi Dutty,e
i have played around with the rom over night and everything seems great just 1 little niggle...
When you go to start > programs you get various folders and programs... the "Multi Media" should be missing the space? but the rom is still as good as it was yesterday i was even listening to cd's i synced across with no pausing between tracks like WMP did on th o2 rom :D
BTW i think i have already read this on the thread but the donation link in your sig and the one on your website are different mail addresses i would love to pass on a donation at some point but am unsure which address to send it to..
Thanks!

With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ***ENTER buttons***, then press the RESET button with the stylus tip. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until you see this message on the screen.

Hey Dutty.. i went from 2.3 to 2.5, must say great speed improvement throughout OS aswell as Manila.. One bug i've found is after going to 2.5, the touch to focus feature is not working anymore. im having to do the full press. I've tried switching between Touch and Press, and Touch.. but both are not recognising the Touch part of it.. Only way to do it is to do a full press. I note that the Camera APP version hasnt changed from 2.3, but any ideas why its not working for me anymore?
ok after finish typing this ive just tried again and the touch and press has worked maybe like 1 out of 10 attempts now.. on 2.3 it would work straight away on every attempt

This ROM is great. I love the new QWERTY keyboard.
My ONLY gripe is that it resets back to Blackberry style after a reset.
I see some reg keys to fix this on page 452 - but is there a CAB or something to fix this properly?

Very easy to use the reg fix.

And if you use mymobiler you can just paste the key. :D
entering the wrong key will prevent the device from booting after reset - so be careful

Upadated to the 2.5 ROM last night and so far no major issues. I use S2U2 v1.22 and that has a strange habit of turning the screen on and off when its activated. Also I keep Bluetooth on all the time and the phone now keeps telling me that it's switched on by the way of a speech bubble notification from the top of the screen appearing every now and again.
The Bluetooth function has improved massively for me. I use a Kenwood car stereo with an integrated Parrot Bluetooth handsfree module and this now works a lot smoother (before, I couldn't get the stereo to make calls. Now I can). Also I can now stream music via bluetooth to the stereo just by using the tf3d music tab.
I have noticed a speed increase, especially when switching between tabs, I was using Dutty 1.8 before which I felt it was pretty swift anyway.
Overall. This ROM is impressive and worth the upgrade and re-installation of all extra programs that I use. For me the biggest improvement was the Bluetooth.
Dutty, thanks for all your time and effort in developing these roms. I for one very much appreciate it.

Another great release, especially with new little smaller keyboard ... love it. Just wish you knew how to also inlcude the Russian in the list of available layouts for HTC QWERTY ... can you? If yes, maybe a .cab file with the small size of the keyboard as it is now.
Also, at last, the words I type iwith T9 on (russian in translit, i.e. using english letters) is saved and is shown know when typing ... this didn't work before. But, it seems that even though they are there (using HTC QWERTY), the words, somewhere stored, they are not shown in eT9MyWords !!!
Also love that you included the new Opera, and all the rest tweaks that makes this ROM definitely faster than 2.3a.

thanks so you have no issues with the new keyboard, I have fix some issues where some one says letter recogniser isnt working and re-look at the registry in ezinput
So, cause this time you have EzInput installed, it is now storing the typed words, when in T9 mode is ON .... but:
1. Where are the words stored, as they do not appear in eT9MyWords (so I can backup up later)
2. Any possibility you can add Russian in available list of layouts, and keep the small size of the keyboard ... maybe you can give .cab file or link where this is being discussed. I have on .cab with English/Russia, but the size is standard, plus little affraid that the word completion will again stop working, as it is now.
Also, can you please post the original manilla.exe file, as it seems I messed it up a little, and do not want to hard reset.

Just to confirm that really when simple small keyboard is selected, there is no text input working. Using 2.5 CVSD.
Dutty, please, if possible, try to add Russian layout in the list of HTC keyboards in your next ROM, and so that in T9 mode new words are saved, as it is working superbly on current 2.5.
So, how about my previous question about the words, new ones, not being added/shown in eT9MyWords, as the list is totally empty!

When you go to start > programs you get various folders and programs... the "Multi Media" should be missing the space?
Agree. I know it's two tiny things but It's a compliment to you Dutty - when you make a rom so perfect, we have to start looking at the smaller things! From my post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2704496&postcount=3618:
Couple of quick fixes:
Folder "Multi Media" should be one word "Multimedia"
Shortcut "Pim_Backup" does not require underscore and should be upper-case for acronym "PIM Backup"
(sorry don't mean to sound like an English teacher here!)

I agree that this is a great ROM but I too have this problem
Yes. And removing the Call History tab dealt with it. No need to remove the Manila colour cab, though, which is good!

still no luck on CVSD as well.... iGo seems to starts for a while and then "froze"; well actually the device is not froze, just the iGo. Because when it "froze" I can still press my "Home" button and back to the main windows screen.
Did not install anything apart of synchronizing (NOT restoring from a backup) my Calendar and Contacts from Outlook.
Yes I did a proper hard reset (using combination button+reset) after I flash to v2.5MSVC/CVSD.
My last bet this morning is to flash the radio back to .08 (I'm using BS14 now). If this still not help, I'll flash down to 2.3a - which is shameful really, as I really like the "Forward" SMS function.
Help? anyone? Dutty - I dare not asking help from the guru himself, but since you're a genius, maybe there's something obvious that I missed?
Thanks!
Thanks EazyVG for your respond. I'm flashing with 2.5CVSD as we speaking... also will make sure to do hard reset (proper one with VolDown+Action+Reset) this time.
Thanks!

no luck on dowgrading to .08 as well. I'm reverting back to 2.3a as I really need the iGo 8 working.
Just a quick info for anyone who might be willing to help: previously I use iGo 8 (latest build) on my Diamond with 2.3a + .BS14 (or .08 both works) it works flawlessly. But now with 2.5 (both CVSD and MSVC) + .BS14 (or .08) iGo keeps "froze" after awhile. It works OK at first but after synchronizing my contacts and calendar from my Outlook, it froze everytime.
Thanks

To all Dutty 1.5 users,
I decided to make a combined Manila TouchFlo3D addon package containing perfectly built CallHistory and Calendar tabs.
For us lucky users of the best cooked rom, we now have a guaranteed working version of these two new tabs.
This is a combination of the following Addons with all due credit to their respective creators:
CallHistory
HTC - original mode9 files extracted from Orange custom rom
Calendar 0.75 - EN-US Locale Only
D-MAN666 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423647
Active Icon Alternative - In keeping with Manila standard icon theme
Genius2000 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2779104&postcount=427
Extra email menu options enabled in the "Mail" tab - When clicking the 'Menu' softkey the pop-up dialogue list is now extended to:
New Mail

The guide for manually adding the CallHistory whilst avoiding introducing any bugs (such as no SMS menu glitch):
ahirshfield (Me!) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2695679&postcount=129
Tab Positions:
Call History is the 3rd tab, between People & Messages tabs;
Calendar is right at the end, after Programs
Please don't ask about removing the 'Call History' or 'Calendar' links on the Home Screen under the flip-clock as they are not removable at the moment.
How:
As per the above linked guide, I have manually added ONLY the relevant CallHistory & Calendar sections and there are NO other differences from the original. If you want to see what sections have changed, simply use WinMerge to compare your original file with the new one I created. This should help you understand the changes required in case of a future ROM upgrade...
This is built specifically for Dutty's rom v1.5 with it's specific version of Manila. There are no files overwritten in the /windows/ directory, other than the updated '26948339_manila'. Therefore the only changed file is 26948339_manila for which the specific version included in this rom was used as a base with only the relevant XML (Page Order; Components & DialogManager) for CallHistory and Calendar added.
Instructions:
To install, disable TouchFlo3D in today-settings, run the .cab file on your device. To uninstall, again ensure TouchFlo3D is disabled, then remove using the 'Remove Programs' in system settings.
There should be no worry about backing-up or restoring '*_manila' files as they are always revertable to the rom originals as follows: To restore unmodified rom files, dissable TouchFlo3D in today settings, use "Total Commander" (http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm) to delete any modified version of the file on your device (in /windows/). This will 'restore' the original ROM version of this file.
Disclaimer:
**While this CallHistory/Calendar XML will work for you as it is based on the supplied 26948339_manila file from this specific Manila/ROM version, it may NOT work correctly for you or others when using a different version of Manila, a different ROM or even a newer Dutty rom.**
Dutty, I know you try to steer clear of 3rd party apps and customisations but give this a whirl for us please. It's clean and tidy I promise, inspect the cab contents if you want... ;-)

Actually glad that somebody else had problem with gps software. I'm using Tomtom 7 (build 933) with Radio 07 and it doesn't work: it does get a fix just for a few seconds, then it disconnects from the gps, looks for it, gets the fix, and start all over again.
Looks like a Windows problem managing the gps unit.
Also noticed Opera cannot open the download page.

Dutty and any other interested users...
As per my original post regarding the Opera Zoom-Slider, the standard_skin.zip file from the Opera 2392 .cab file has up-scaled graphics for the magnifier button and slider. It was originally from the QVGA version and so appears pixelated on our VGA devices.
Unfortunately it was this lesser quality version that you included in the 2.5 rom.
Some clever chap Hamdir in the Opera thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=401643&page=28) has posted a fixed standard_skin.zip file with much clearer graphics.
I have attached the higher quality "standard_skin.zip" to this post (full credit to Hamdir) and it can be installed by copying the file (as it is, not extracted) to '/Windows/Opera9/skin/'.
Dutty, please can you use this .zip file in your next rom unless an official VGA version is released with a new Opera version before then...
Best regards,
Adam R. Hirshfield

Two last things to update: you already included Opera 9.5 Build 2392 however have not included the updated "standard_skin.zip". As a fellow fan of the Touch HD, please can you include this new version as it includes the zoom-slider scroll-bar. The best VGA non-upscaled version is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2722816&postcount=1400
After copying the attached "standard_skin.zip" file (as it is, not extracted) to '/Windows/Opera9/skin/' you must add the following registry keys to enable the zoom-slider bar:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Opera\Defaults]
"ZoomSliderEnabled"=dword:00000001
"ZoomSliderTimeout"=dword:000007d0
Both the necessary .zip and .reg files are attached to this post for your convenience and the use of anyone else...

Actually the call history and calendar tabs beneath the clock are easily removable simply by installing an analog clock, and some very nice ones there are too! :)
You're quite right the links can be removed by changing to an analogue clock but as I stated in my post they cannot yet be removed from "Under the flip-clock". In your example these are no longer under the flip-clock because, well there is no flip-clock!
Tab Positions:
Call History is the 3rd tab, between People & Messages tabs;
Calendar is right at the end, after Programs
Please don't ask about removing the 'Call History' or 'Calendar' links on the Home Screen under the flip-clock as they are not removable at the moment.
The reason I as not going to pack or mention any further Manila customizations is because all others (Clocks; Icons; Curtains; Sliders; etc) rely on overwriting the existing Manila files - in effect taking their place. Sure the original rom version is recovered on deletion, however the two items I packed rely on absolutely no overwritten image or mode9 files, they are all extra to the rom contents (bar the XML update which I did specific to support this rom).
I only worry about introducing issues with the included Manila version as it is a Raphael version and swapping images and mode9's can adversely effect it. For example it is no longer conpatible with the "Background on all tabs" addon - because it relies on replaced files.
Hope this is all agreeable.
Regards,
Adam

Is anyone trying to run PhatPad with these upgraded ROMs? I used to be able to get it to work by disabling touchflo scroll(option offered by Calligrapher and PhatPad). Since I started upgrading with these newer Dutty Roms (all great!) that does not seem to work. Even though I disable touchflo scroll, it is still active in PhatPad and the program is virtually useless. Any help would be appreciated.

Dear master Dutty,
I have to say thank you very much for so great ROM again. It's working on my Diamond like a charm and flying like a space ship without any issues. I don't know about bluetooth because don't using it. :) Other features working great (wifi, gprs, gsm, TomTom, ActiveSync and some third party apps). Great work master Dutty :cool:
I'm looking for possibility to add Latvian language layout which have standard qwerty English layout plus additional characters like - ā, č, ģ, ķ etc.
I received following suggestions:
you will need to edit the qwerty text files if you have the English keyboard you should edit PQwerty0409.txt
in the txt file you will see lots of numbers 00e4 and so on these are the hex values for the symbols in the layout. so you need to know what hex value ā, č, ķ are in order to change them.
I can't remember right now in with order the lines are but I think that the first 2 parts are the qwerty symbols first is small and second is large and 3.part is the long press symbols. and will also be the first page on the symbols page
the rest are from page 2 -> when you press the symbol button.
Do must it workable for standard Diamond keyboard? If yes, where located file PQwerty0409.txt ? I also would like to add necessary characters in file which is responsible for graphics, where can I find it for edit by PhotoShop etc. ?
Sorry for offtopic.
Thank you everyone for suggestions.

Andris

it's a common problem... I mean that having AGPS enabled, without the support by the mobile provider, makes gps chipset to be busy every minute, so navi app, like for ex tomtom acts in the wrong way because it gets a fix then unfixe every 30 seconds, so it seems that the phone is crazy... if the AGPS service isn't available WM tries again & again 4 ever to connect to an unavailable resource ;)

Thanks again and sorry for bothering (in case I am :-p )
There appears to be a bug in this version of T9MyWords. If you open it there is nothing displayed.
However if you go create a new word and immediately cancel it your list of words will be displayed.

If you experience the standard keyboard issue with dutty 2.5 (you can't type anything in Messaging with the standard keyboard) here's what to do:
1. select Full QWERTY
2. Disable T9 (slide the small thingie towards ABC instead of T9)
3. select the standard keyboard.
It should work now, look like there's an issue with standard keyboard and Full QWERTY T9.

I'm using the 2.3a version but it's probably the same for more recent releases.
The "lock device" by holding down the end key...
Why does it take so long for the phone to lock? Takes almost 5 seconds.
Is is it possible to reduce this time to, maby 2 seconds? It would be great.
The second issue is not rom specific. Is it possible to change the "lock device"-screen?

ChangeLog
Calendar tab in manila
sms font fix thanks to munrus
Dutty,
In rom 1.5 or the upcoming rom, did you modify or outright replace any of the files from the supplied Manila?
For example is the 26948339_manila file as stock for that Manila version or did you replace/modify for any reason?
Did you need to change anything manually or overwrite the actual files to support the SMS Messaging tab's 'Forward' menu?
========
Calendar tab
If you do end up including the Calendar tab, and decide to use the D-Man666's .zip from the original thread, remember that there is no need to copy/overwrite the 112dc2ce_manila & 1479c303_manila files. These two files will already exist in your rom (possibly in updated form) and are not required when using the Active-Calendar Icon. These files are excluded from my "Hirshy Manila Addons for Dutty 1.5.Cab".
Also, please be careful not to use the 26948339_manila file from another user's .cab such as CallHistory, Calendar, etc as the XML is always quite different depending on the Manila version. Even the version that I modified from your 1.5 rom (included in my "Hirshy" cab) may not be accurate for whatever Manila you use in the next rom.
If you want, you are welcome to PM me the original 26948339_manila from whatever Manila version you decide to use and I will be sure to update the XML with only the relevant parts inserted without changing anything else from that Manila version.
========
I don't know how much you know about Manila build and customization, so if you already know all the above and following please forgive me for 'teaching how to suck eggs'! Let me know that you don't need the advice and I will gladly shut-up and leave you to it!...
As you use newer and changing Manila versions in your rom, it is important not to overwrite the *_manila files with potentially older versions for tweaks and customisations that may produce incompatibilities or bugs. Your new versions may contain updated images, resources or XML which would otherwise be lost.
Sorry to you or others if this all sounds like waffle or things you already consider. I genuinely only want to ensure that if tweaking Manila and playing with the files that we don't lose any of the newer versions you provide or cause any other issues.
Kind regards,

Hi Dutty. Love your work. Thanks for all your hard work making Diamond owners happy users. I've got a question/request on Opera. I noticed that you have some standard bookmarks in Opera in your ROM. Just wondering whether there is a quick way of moving all of them into a folder or do I have to move them one by one? Is it possible to move them all into a folder (maybe call it 'Default Bookmarks' or something like that. Because everytime I add a new bookmark, I have to scroll all the way to the bottom and click on it.
Not critical but good to have. :) Thanks again for your brilliant work.

Hi all, before someone complains: I tried to search this thread for this issue but didn't find anything viable so here I go:
I've used V2.3 and found it working fine. I was especially pleased as the G-Sensor calibration worked and I could calibrate it (for Teeter) nicely.
Now in V2.5 the G-Sensor calibration doesn't work anymore?
It's the old "known" problem that it starts calibrating but doesn't store the calibration values. So my sensor is now uncalibrated again...after having been nicely calibrated in V2.3
Any help out there for this problem?
Cheers, Fred

Dutty,
When using "input" to change the keyboard it does not stick, so when you go back to type a message or similar it reverts back to the qwerty keyboard unless you change the keyboard type within say "SMS" then it remains even after reset. - Not an issue for me just thought I'd mention this.
I hope the forward SMS fix arrives soon. :D

If you want of the following "inputs" to remain after reset just use regedt and for [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip]
"DefaultIm (with either of the values below incuding the brackets {} I' not sure of the other values yet.
this is for compact keyboard

full qwerty (which is the defualt anyway)

I've searched everywhere for this and apparently no one else is having the same issue. Since installing Dutty's V2.3a on my Diamond I have not been able to send or receive SMS text messages. I can send them but the recipient doen't receive them.

Hi guys,
If you follow the link to Active-Calendar Icon in my post below, you will see that the cab I provided (and hopefuly files that Dutty is using) contains a different Calendar icon by AF241 which is in keeping with the standard Manila theme.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2773026#post2773026
It is not the iPhone one provided by D-MAN666! The icon image is very easy to replace or customise anyway - it is the 14275e69_manila file and can be changed by using any other of Manila's image/icon files in it's place (or using Manila Editor from these forums.)

Dear Dutty,
When using the cab from MUN for the small SMS font size in Manilla, the "Forward" option disapears and when selecting "Delete" the confirmation message is messed up.
Please take note when fixing the bug of the small fonts.
This is a problem known by Dutty. Mun_rus and myself are working on resolving it with Dutty for the next rom.
Basically the version of the 'Messaging' tab (47dd6acd_manila) that mun_rus edited for the "small-font" & "FWD button", is based on a different build of Manila. This results in the replacement patched file not supporting some of the new functions and XML options of the newer Raphael Manila build (as in Dutty 1.5). This includes lack of support for the 'Forward' Menu option and control/contents of some dialogue boxes.
*** If replying to this post, please don't include the whole quote as it occupies too much space on the forum! ***
For the benefit of this thread and the user's understanding and re-assurance, I'm sure Dutty won't mind me sharing very edited excerpts of our PM conversation:
Hi bro just realise the sms font size fix also remove the sms forward also,
file name is 47dd6acd_manila If I use the fix font the forward option disappears
This invariably means that the hacked or patched file may have been made by using a different Manila version of that file as a base. An older version, especially of 'mode9' files, may lack features or be missing support for options referred in other mode9/xml files. This appears to be what you are experiencing with the SMS 'Forward' option.
This is exactly why .cab installs of Manila files are so dangerous within a rom. I always suggest letting the user find new Manila themes, icons, graphics, etc and install themselves. This way if it turns out to be incompatible they can revert back to rom-base files.
(Two exceptions to this are Call History & Calendar as they both rely on purely brand-new additional files not provided within Manila builds and do not replace existing files. Although they do rely on changes to the XML in 26948339_manila any problems can be avoided by manual adding to this XML file - (as per my guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2695679#post2695679) - instead of replacing it. This guarantees that the edited file is still totally compatible with the Manila version).
47dd6acd_manila
This is the messaging tab's mode9 file
The mode9 file for messaging contains the program-code required to support all of this tabs functionality - including the font size & available menu options.
Whether these menu options are displayed or not is controlled by XML within the legendary 26948339_manila file, however even if the menu option is made available in the XML, if the mode9 doesn't support it you will get a missing menu or 'IDS_xxxxxxxx' error.
In this case, the 47dd6acd_manila also contains the font colour, style and size, which has been edited by a Mun_rus using an older/different version of the file to that in your Raphael Manila. Therefore using his file does not support the feature of 'SMS Forward'! You could perhaps send him your exact file and ask him to make the same changes in font on this one - which would then retain compatibility with your Manila.
Likewise the original version of BackGround4AllPages by Mun_rus (which worked on your <1.4 roms) was built using an older version of the background Manila image files, so did not work on some newer Manila versions including your 1.5 rom. He has since updated it to use the files from a later, possibly Raphael, manila version.
In short I'd say:
The only time it is safe to replace any *_Manila file (mode9 or XML), guaranteeing retained compatibility with any given Manila version, is when the new file is created or edited directly, using the same Manila version or exact same file content as a base. *_Manila files containing images are a little safer to replace as they will change only graphics, not functionality or code-support.
If it were me, I'd use only the actual official Manila files from you latest particular Raphael Build - as stock without any changes - and check that any .cabs or individual *_manila files do not already exist in that Build or in your rom.
If they do not exist then the file can be safely added.
If they do exist, then there is possibility of a conflict as detailed above with only the following safe resolutions:
To resolve this conflict if it is a Mode9 type file, you must ensure that the 'proposed' file is of the same version/Manila Build as your existing file.
To resolve this conflict if it is an XML type file, you could manually compare and selectively merge/update the contents of the file (text) using WinMerge and my guide linked at the top of this email.
Hope this is all useful info.

Ad
hi mate I only replac one file which is the one above, I look at the difference using hex edit and my new manila file has registry for forward inside that manila file while the hack one hasnt so with the diamond.
But I will do something better i will use munrus forward tab which I thinks look nicer in the rom
Hi D.T.
Before you release, you might like to know that Mun_rus is going to look into providing a re-engineered version of your Raphael Manila's "Messaging" mode9 file (47dd6acd_manila) with the small-font...

First I installed Flip_It which I got from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=429682
Flip IT (GNES Modification) ThanX BEPE for GNES.DLL (http://rapidshare.com/files/152618372/Flip_IT_by_WildBerry_Team.cab)
Utility that rotates screen using Gsensor .
Install app, make a reboot , Go to Programs --> Accessories --> Flip It.
Check Angles , or create a profile for a specific application.
This app is an early beta release and provided as is ....
Then I added these registry entries: (I don't know if both were required)
- <characteristic type="Registry">
- <characteristic type="HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila">
<parm name="Landscape.WebSearchURL" value="http://www.google.com" datatype="string" />
<parm name="EnableLandscape" value="true" datatype="string" />
</characteristic>
After a soft reset and setting up/running Flip_It, it seems to work.
Unfortunately the landscape TF3D isn't more than a menu, not very TouchFlo at all, but at least it works.

Hi Dutty,
Well done for your job.
I've got one probllem, i am in sydney at the moment, and the clock time has been changed for season time. (for example Spring Session used to be 8:00 , now in summer session it's 9:00).
At the moment it's nearly summer in australia (sydney), everytime i synchronize the Phone, it's giving me the old Clock time.
That's the first issue, by the way my PC update the time automatically.
The other issue, When i receive a message, for example it's 9:00 AM now , i will be receiving it as 8:00 AM.
Is there anyway that can be solved?
And again Well DOne.
Thanks.

Hi guys,
If you follow the link to Active-Calendar Icon in my post below, you will see that the cab I provided (and hopefuly files that Dutty is using) contains a different Calendar icon by AF241 which is in keeping with the standard Manila theme.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2773026#post2773026
It is not the iPhone one provided by D-MAN666! The icon image is very easy to replace or customise anyway - it is the 14275e69_manila file and can be changed by using any other of Manila's image/icon files in it's place (or using Manila Editor from these forums.)
Best regards,
Adam
Having said all the above, using in my .cab, and suggesting to Dutty what I thought was the best Icon for active calendar on that thread, I have just found another even better icon with full credit to Genius2000:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2779104&postcount=427
ALSO -
I have enabled extra email menu options for the "Mail" tab:
When clicking the 'Menu' softkey the original pop-up dialogue list had only:
New Mail
Accounts -> New Account
Accounts -> Accounts...
Send/Receive
Now I have removed the commented out section of the XML in 26948339_manila "Email.dialog" & "EmailNoItems.dialog" to enable these supported menu-item features. The above options have now been extended to:
New Mail
Reply
Reply All
Forward
Accounts -> New Account
Accounts -> Delete Account
Accounts -> Accounts...
Send/Receive
This was the only piece of commented out XML code in the entire file!
I have updated my cab and attached to this post. Original post with details and credits also updated here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2773026&postcount=4647

Dutty, I think it would be a great idea to enable these in your next rom as follows.
To enable these commented out menu options for email, manually edit the 26948339_manila XML file in a text editor and remove ONLY the red text shown below:
<SimpleDialog Name="Email.dialog" PackageName="HTC">
<ComponentReference Name="dialogItem" Mode9Path="HTC\simpledialog.mode9" Component="SimpleDialog" SmartComponent="true" />
<DialogItem Name="Menu">
<DialogItem Name="New Email" Title="[[IDS_EMAIL_NEWEMAIL]]" />
<!--<DialogItem Name="Reply" Title="[[IDS_EMAIL_REPLY]]" />
<DialogItem Name="Reply All" Title="[[IDS_EMAIL_REPLYALL]]" />
<DialogItem Name="Forward" Title="[[IDS_EMAIL_FORWARD]]" /> -->
<DialogItem Name="Accounts" Title="[[IDS_EMAIL_ACCOUNTS]]" >
<DialogItem Name="Add account" Title="[[IDS_EMAIL_ADDACCOUNT]]" />
<!--<DialogItem Name="Remove account" Title="[[IDS_EMAIL_REMOVEACCOUNT]]" />-->
<DialogItem Name="Show accounts" Title="[[IDS_EMAIL_SHOWACCOUNTS]]" />
</DialogItem>
<DialogItem Name="Send/Receive" Title="[[IDS_EMAIL_SENDRECEIVE]]" />
</DialogItem>
</SimpleDialog>
<SimpleDialog Name="EmailNoItems.dialog" PackageName="HTC">

Guys I am having a very annoying problem. I have been using dutty's ROM since the beginning, and only recently I have been having this issue:
sometimes, without any reason or any particular usage, the phone clock changes to about half an hour earlier. It's pretty annoying, especially when using the phone alarm clock...
Using .07 radio, 1.93 olinex hspl, and dutty's 2.5.
Anybody else experiencing this?

Nah Mate, it is more that your device has the incorrect DST dates set in it and thinks we are still on +10. Nothing to do with the rest of the world computers. Time signals are all in UTC. All you need do is to install the WM 2008 cumulative daylight saving time (DST) update (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949168) and specifically WMDST2008-1.CAB (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=0D6FC192-3142-4473-B435-B514E4B360A5&displaylang=en)
Ideally it works better to install it prior to syncing your Outlook Calendar.
This is one of the first CABs I install on my Diamond post flash.

Hey Logger,
You are right, the problem has been fixed... normally i like to do test if dickenz is right also, but it wasn't ...
The best solution is to download this cab file.
Again.. thank you very much.

Hello, I'm experiencing a strange "behaviour" (don't know if it's a bug or a feature) with the HSDPA icon: with previous ROMs, the "H" symbol would only appear during an actual exchange of data, and the rest of the time it would display the "3G" icon, even with an HSDPA connection. Now with ROM 2.5 the "H" icon is always on!
Is it a new feature or a bug?
