This Rom will be one step closer to my Final for Diamond for now, Also thanks to everyone who contributed for me to get a new device so I can continue my work here.

This Rom is just based on what I use daily and have been tested by myself and one other Private beta tester, I have change, fixed some bits and still experimenting around with the Diamond.

Before Flashing Please ensure You have UN_Signed HARDSPL install on device this will ensure your device wont get bricked.

How to Flash Rom using Internal Storage Method , a safer, quicker and better way to flashing



Rename ..NBH file to DIAMIMG.nbh
Copy to Internal Storage
Soft Reset + Hold volume down button + back button <----
Follow instructions on screen

1. This Rom does not include Midlet manager so you need to install one before trying to run any Midlet applications.

Common Issues & Fixes
Problem: To change the Font on the Full Qwerty Keyboard
Solution: Install the TNYYNT Font Fix cab in the attachment below
Problem: To show Sim Contacts
Solution: Delete the simfix shortcut in startup folder in Windows, Install Shaps advance config and select show sim contacts

Things to do Before and After a Flash
OK so now you have HardSPL (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HardSPL) done and have read through the Wiki and the sticky’s and now you are ready to flash!
For backing up the following items I suggest that you use PIM Backup v2.8 located here.

It is regarding how to 'Hard Reset' the HTC Touch Diamond

CAUTION! This will totally remove all the data and your device will be reset to default settings, fresh from factory mode.

How to Hard Reset TOUCH Diamond:
1. With your phone on. Pull out your stylus.
2. Hold your Touch Pro upside down.
3. Press and Hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the RESET button with the stylus tip till message appear.
4. To HARD RESET, Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or else press any other button to cancel.
5. Then just follow all the screen instruction to continue.
Tips:
- If you're forced and unavoidable to 'Hard Reset' your phone, you can prevent loosing your data by sync them all to your computer before performing this reset.

GPS
To make sure you properly get a GPS signal. First run Quick GPS.
Start > Programs > System Tool > QuickGPS - NOTE: Some users are able to acquire a GPS fix after running this.
Hit download and when it’s done it ok
Now run HTC GPS Tool
Start > Programs > System Tools > HTC GPS Tool
Click Open and then click OPEN.
Click on the Satellite tab and wait till the bars turn green once this happens you will have a GPS fix.
·You can also verify the this by clicking the information tab and wait till you have a Latitude and Longitude fix:
Now you can use your GPS software.

I only have just finished getting my diamond just how i like it with your other rom, now i wanna upgrade to this one :-)

One question, If i use a backup program to backup my internal memory, settings and registry ect then flash the new rom on and restore my backup will this work ok or am i going to end up with loads of problems.

Sorry, downloaded latest version, installed it, rebooted, still the same, when i start it it crashes (unexpected error) and mentions something about installing netcf.messages if i want to see the error messages.

Can it be a bad flash?

Hi Dutty, had my Diamond for a couple of weeks now and been frquenting the Diamond forums, so I decided with this rom release I had to do my first flash. Well I have just shat a brick, after installing unsigned hard spl I had the terrible screen flicker, so I was filled with dread as I nervously watched the bar tick across from 1 to 100% flashing your rom. Relief no flicker!!
My first impression is a great speed and response improvement, so thanks for the rom and your hard work. Please can you wait a good 6 months before releasing any better roms. I just don't have the time to install sofware.

I am currently using your ROM, but I am facing problems with Character’s input (as Attached).
This is after I installed the Arabic software, it was working fine with the entire 2.5 framework ROMs, but this problem only appeared in the 3.5 framework ROMs.

Any Idea what’s causing this?!

Hi, i've downloaded the rom but when i tried to install it, i got stuck at 0% and i had to reset my device. I think this might be because of the version of the hard-spl that i have.
I have the 1.30 olinex hard spl.
I am currently running elite 3.0 rom. My diamond was one of the first ones(with a very old rom, i don't remeber but it was something like 1.12xxx)
This is the first time i have a problem with installing a rom :(
If i have to change the hard-spl, witch one should i download??

Ok i'm a flash addict, and in the month i've had my diamond i think i've flashed pretty much every rom on this forum. THIS rom is unreal, easily THE fastest rom i've ever used. Seriously this is how the diamond should have been like on release, i promise you try this rom and you will be utterly amazed at your new diamond!

Well change the Language To swedish and if it says stuff like "Telefon" "Alla Kontaker" "Program" (Duh the same as english haha xD ) "Hem" "Väder (Weather)" then its working :D

It has to be a new flash unfortunately as I'm using a different manilla package, seems there isnt much issues so far reading So i Will update when have sometime,I will release v1.1 with manila language fix,

Also the nice thing with APPTODATE is that it WILL automatically update some apps which is in the rom so no need to worry, just run APPTODATE now and then it will check ur software version and it wil update it for you:)

With V1.1 u can choose ur TF3D Language with TF3D Config Tool...

So wm6.1 will still be english, but the most things that u see can be ur own language... see it as a language pach for vista 64 ultimate... same thing... almost...

I know that this tab is a nice experiment for future new tabs...but I don't get the use of this tab as there already is a call history "button" on the home screen. This tab adds absolutely nothing....no extra speed...no extra functionality....you can't differentiate between incoming and outgoing...just adding bulk to TouchFLO.

Wonderful ROM again Dutty, really appreciate your work, will donate for sure this week.
One slight problem introduced in V1.1 it seems, the word completion with default MS Keyboard doesn't work anymore for me. It worked fine in the former release.
No big deal as I use your disable t9 cab and it works fine again but i was just wondering what could cause this

I thought I was a "special case' though brothers and sisters in Asia and Africa seem to have the same issue with corrupted d-loads and connection losses.

If any helping hands could post further releases on MegaUpload & Rapidshare, or even 4shared it will be appreciated by all Dutty fans.

Have been trying for 4 hours to get this rom must have downloaded it about 8 or 9 times now. Sometimes I get as far as 60meg after about 40 mins and then it either times out or tells me its complete.

Very nice rom.
I have just a lil' problem.
I changed the language of TF3D to french and when i take a picture with the camera i can't see it on TF3D tab.
Some people say to rename the Internal Storage\My Documents\My Pictures.
So i tried that but the pictures are saved to Internal Storage\My Documents.

If someone knows how to get rid of that, help will be welcome.

Anyone felt any diference in the GSM provider signal level?

Using radio 05 with others ROMs i usually got a full signal bar at home but since i flashed this last ROM from Duttys (1 and 1.1) i can get only 2 or 3 bars.

Also before i could connect in H and now it's in E (edge) network.

May be this ROM works better with other radio?

All the other things are running lovely (couldnt test the GPS yet).

Hmmm, it doesn't really sux, i can download from there with an average of 600 kbs.
So I believe it cannot really be the server but somehow intercontinental connections seems to go wrong.

Only had one problem which was i couldnt install none of my cabs but I guessed it was the Sprite backup so I hard rebooted and worked fine without sprite backup installed.

Just a question will toms manila colour cab have any problems installing since you added call history ?

I changed the language of TF3D to french and when i take a picture with the camera i can't see it on TF3D tab.
Some people say to rename the Internal Storage\My Documents\My Pictures.
So i tried that but the pictures are saved to Internal Storage\My Documents.

If someone knows how to get rid of that, help will be welcome.

hi dutty... ROM is working pretty stable but the GPS is not working..... i used the official ROM and was working fine...
on the other side couldnt find much difference from the original rom in term of stability and speed... both seem to be pretty the same IMHO...

Google Maps and TomTom Navigator 7 works fine here. Just took like 5 minutes on the first start, till he got all the satellites. Averaging 9 Satellite Contacts now.

GPS WORKS FOR ME GOT 8 SATALITES WITHIN 8 SECONDS OUT DOOR, ENSURE you hard reset after flashing I think this is always recommended after flashing a rom:)

Mind you the place for asking this. But does anyone know how i can arrange the MP3 Albums so i can scroll through them at the touch flo 3d? I moved 2 Albums to my Content/Music Folder, but in the overview at touch flo 3d it shows one album not both and when i use the up or down buttons it just cycles through the songs of that particular album.

Edit Note: Nearly got it, had to add all files to a new playlist. Still a bit stupid though how cycling through works. Have to press 21x down to come to the end of album 1 so my next down click, opens album 2.

I just tried to play a video file with your new cooked rom and it was hardly playing smooth, lots of missing frames. I tried wmv and divx, both show these symptons. Anyone here who uses the latest dutty rom (1.1) and can play movies just fine? Could you tell me which settings you are using then?

I tried to upgrade the Diamond's ROM to Dutty's V1.1.

For some reason I keep on getting the following screen, showing that my provider is T-Mobile (which is not correct), with wrong time display...

Any clue of what the reason for this could be?

BTW - I flashed the ROM twice, just to get the same result.

Interesting... Left Tom Tom and Google maps running for about 15min a piece and no fix. Loaded GPS Test, fired it up and got a fix within a minute. Thereafter all GPS apps run fine now.
GPS Test has some special capabilities I suspect. Isn't that why you included it in your Kaiser builds Dutty? All good now though. Thnx..

Yep, this worked for me! Before GPS didn't work, I re-flashed the rom, and did a hard-reset afterwards, and GPS works perfectly now!

On the other hand, I think I have found a small bug during a modifications in ''Rational Settings'' application inside the System tab of Settings. When I change the value in Region into Dutch (Netherlands) and after that when I change the Time style (inside Time tab) into HH:mm:ss, I do not read 2 digits time information on Manilla if the clock is adjusted to a value between 01 o'clock and 09 o'clock. In place I get only the values 1 till 9 o'clock (1 digit information).

For example, if the time is 02:00 in the knight I read on Manilla 2:00 o'clock in place of 02:00 o'clock. :( This problem occurs in version 1.1 of the FULL ROM.

Does somebody else the same result?

Yes but when the time format is adjusted to 2 digits you should see the time on Manilla also in two digits, e.g. 02:00 but not 2:00. The 0 is missing and not presented on the Manilla screen. When the time is adjusted to a value between 10:00 o'clock and 24:00 o'clock there is no problem. I do not use A.M. and P.M. but use 24 hours presentation. The problem only occurs when the time gets the values between 00:00 o'clock and 09:59 o'clock. The 0 is not presented and removed in the Manilla screen.

Neither of them work for me with this ROM. However neither worked with my stock ROM either so I am not sure that this ROM is at fault. I suspect the hack might not work properly.

Either way it - The screen going off during calls REALLY pisses me off and drives me nuts. Cannot undestand why HTC force this upon us. If that is not bad enough why does HTC also kill the illum on the four hard keys. So in a dark situation you cannot even see the buttons to hang up and end the call :mad:

I can totally accept the battery hit for the useability gain any day.

This new database should help switch SIM cards easily, without having to reconf everytime, or after a hard reset.

Can you extract the HTC_Connection_Setup.CAB and include in your ROM or make it available as a extra CAB?

Thank you for a nice and VERY speedy ROM.

I must say that I miss the 3D animations that have been removed from this ROM for performance reasons - they gave a pretty nice look and feel to the device. Any way of getting them back?

Also... Why TotalCommander instead of the (perfect) Resco File Manager?? TotalCommander er less finger-friendly and you can't even use the app to import registry files...

Also, it's kind of funny with the female voice saying "You've got message" in broken English (shouldn't it rather be "You've got a new message"?). ;)

Im in São Paulo, and my operator is Claro. The connection settings using the ROM RUU_Diamond_HTC_Asia_HK_WWE_1.93.831.1 is automatic since the HTC Connection Settings CAB has a new operator database, including all operators from Brasil. Thats is great, because I dont had to switch manually configs when using different SIM cards.

This ROM is the best Ive used, and thats why Im asking for this update!
