Hermes mic not working

A friend gave me a hermes to upgrade to wm6 hoping that the microphone would work again after the upgrade. Nothing happened, so I think the mic is broken. Are there any chances to change the faulty part by myself and where can I get spare parts?

On the Wiki you will find the disassembly guide, but changing the mic will require soldering skills

and where can I get spare parts?

Try looking on ebay for a repair/parts phone. Even in this forum I've seen parts for sale.

ooops sorry after a bit of testing I noticed that the mic is working: it is recording but not loud enough ... I have to almost scream to make it hearable in the speaker
I already tried to copy/make a shortcut of setacusticparam in the startup menu but nothing changed and I have half a dozen setacusticparam files in my windows directory which I cannot delete... any other ideas ?
