Ringtones out of windows directory

Can someone tell me if you can put the ringtones out of the windows directory? This probably is a repost, but I can't find the right thread...Thanks

Just create a folder on your storage cards My Docs called My ringtones and drop you files in there.

Your phone should see them without a problem and you should be able to use them

You purpose is "My Docs/My ringtones" Right ?
On my phone I have "My Documents/Mes sonneries" (did you guess I'm french ?)
The "phone sound manager" find this folder and I can use it.
But the others "sound managers" (for instance alarmclock, sounds & notifications, etc) don't find the folder
So What's the problem ?
