There all out of stock.
I did a bid on one on Marktplaats but haven't seen response.
And Expansys charges way to much shipping costs here in NL.

I should have read this thread before buying the "HTC Touch Pro TV Out Cable (HTC-TVOC-D10)" from Clove :p
Diamond Rom Version: Standard 1.93.405.1 WWE
Cable: Mini USB to Composite
TV out status: Non functional
On cable insertion into Diamond: nothing happens :o
Haven't installed the 2.03.405.2 standard rom update yet though

Hi people,
you should be carefully with donations for projects which probably never be fully done or are not viable, i still remember some people around who collected some money to develope improved grafic drivers for the HTC Touch Cruise & Kaiser, and the drivers were a flop.
The HTC diamond has no video-out capability

I'm not as pessimistic as you are about its capability, qtek_metanol. When ppl@android get TV out working on Raphael we'll see whether it's only a driver issue or a hardware issue.

I'm not pesimist Chatty, i'm just warning the people here, because sometimes many of them are victims of some users who are looking for easy preys just to rip them off
I don't know what you mean with ppl@android but TV-Out is a standard function for the HTC Diamond Pro:

That's going to save me a weekend of going out and making a jerk out of myself Shocking Girls With Some Nasty truths.
Because i'm getting my Cable tomorrow and it would be nice if this would if possible would work on Diamond to.
So strength tonight with switching around the H2W_ACCESSORY.dll and from both the Pro and HD into the Diamond and getting it to boot. But don't lose your Job over it Staying up way to Late ;).
So no sarcasm here, save my Weekend so i can hunt down a SoulMate with Brains (and hopefully no aversion to Windows Mobile), instead of staying home breaking my head over this.
But if you need testing or help to do some test to make life easier for you, you know where to find me, love to help where i can.

Thanks mate for your offer. Here is what i have so far:
for people who like testing here is http://diamond.geg0r.de/index.php?dir=Alphazero%2FV3%2F AZTOR V3 has properly integrated drivers even the (customization part does sometimes not run through) its properly integrated. It seems hopeless to continue trying on this to get it work.
The result is even with properly integrated drivers tvout is not working on diamond. I dont think there is anything we can do. THe only driver we have for it does not work. Maybe there are pins cut on the hardware mainboard of the diamond. I only share my experience but feel free to work on it.

I second that.
I don't know what you mean with ppl@android but
I meant people working on android because when we've got a working linux driver for Raphael we can test it on Diamond. Current Windows Mobile driver might have some code checks whether used on the right platform.

I insist that the Diamond Pro owns a chip for the TV-output at the second PCB (keyboard part), I can not believe that HTC deactivate this TV-Out function on the Diamond and Touch HD, which use similar boards and processor platforms that the Diamond Pro (Qualcomm® MSM 7201A™) just for fun, far from it! because with it, they could increase not only the price but also the volume of sales.

Yes, Diamond has 7201A but I have not picture for it. But I think, they are nearly similary.

There is no doubt that TV-out is integrated on the Qualcomm SoC, but there is no proof that HTC didn't just omit to connect it to physical wires.
I am guessing it was a licensing issue. They didn't connect it to save money.

Even if Diamond WILL have TV out, what good will this bring ?
Can you give me 1 good example of what to do with a 640x480 TV output ?
here is one good example

Personally I think both devices have hardware difference. If its just a software we could have seen software for this purpose long time ago for devices like tytn II & similar others

This development is only the programn which start TVOUT , if you have not original TVOUT cable (this cable start TVOUT automaticaly).
But we, on Diamond , have not TVOUT device, and we need some ".dll" which load this device (TVOUT) into memory and run it.
We tryed some ".dll" from Touch PRO, but it is impossible use in Diamond, because for hardware difference .

Hi all, sorry for the delay.
Finally I build the cab and I hope that it works :)
Only install the cab and if after installation the Diamond doesn´t reboot, you must do a soft reset.
To check if works, go to Control panel and select the "TV Out" icon.
If the icon doesn´t appear in Control Panel you can open the windows folder and look for TVOutSetting.exe
REMEMBER, this software has been delivered without warranty of any kind :D
I´ve decided to remove the software until I find the solution to uninstall it without problems, when I find it, I will upload the new file
hi
i got a cable and i connected it to my HTC Diamond but the audio on 3.5mm and the RCA white and red is comming fine. Still i dont have the video out i try one of the cab from

I'm amazed you didn't read the thread first, there by saving the time wasted serching for the cable.
It's a shame you didn't buy the cable then read this thread.
The original Touch Diamond will never support TV out. Although you can run the software.
There is no hardware to output a TV signal.
The cable doesn't magically allow the diamond to output a Video signal in the same way copying my Windows 7 partition to the phone won't magically make it run directly on the phone.
ONLY the Touch Pro (the Diamond with the keyboard) will output to the tv.
Can some-one stop flogging the dead horse and lock this thread.

That's not entirely true. Did HTC advertise its TMC feature? No. Does it work? Yes. Got it?
You haven't given any proof what the Diamond misses in terms of hardware. You can only say it doesn't work right now.

as I read the thread it seems that noone proven that it exists, anyways noone proved that it DOES NOT!
btw: how many devs that has cables tried runing it on their own devices?
zero ?
so how can you prove that it does not exist?
juddrl
27th August 2009, 05:02 PM
maybe if someone would say "the wiz doo dad piece of hardware that's in the pro is not included in the diamond hardware" that would end it. But I haven't seen that yet.
Having said that, I agree that one of the developers on here would have figured it out now if it were possible.
Only reason I have a touch pro over the diamond is because of this feature. I don't use the keyboard much but I get "big" (9") navigation and TV in my car with slingplayer.

Would any gentlman explain me for god's sake where the hell is the difference in the hardware of Diamond and pro? Technically and specifically... maybe some pin not soldered, some track missing.. because I think that the chip is the same, exactly the same.
I think that an hardware difference would be easier to make up, 'cause I would fix it :)

My AMD Phenom II X2 BE says specificly it has 2 core's... I'm running that CPU using all 4 core's (the trick to unlock the other cores did'nt come from AMD for sure)... Not everything is exactly what is printed on the package (or site) so it does'nt rule out the possibility the hardware actually being able to output video.
Just treat this like it aint possible untill proven otherwise.
