TT7 speed

i am using tt7 with the western european map.
i find the speed very low.

when i want to input an adres i have to wait for up to 30 seconds before ik get a list with cities. if i start to enter a city sooner, tt7 does not show any cities.

i tried to plan a route from utrecht (netherlands) to wildschonau (austria) this took a couple of minutes before i had a route. maybe a minute or five.

in my opinion this is really slow.
does anyone have another experience, or could people try to create the same route and report speeds?
if there are no problems, how can i improve the tt7 speed?

tom tom runs fine for me.
Are all your apps closed when you run tomtom?
Try reseting yout device and run tomtom straight away.

Just FYI,

I have no problems with speed allthough I use Benelux map.

about 70mb? againts 1gb? or something.

the slowness is not only in calculating.

during calculations you can see the map. the drawing of the map takes a long time. it seems as if the diamond is working realy hard to calculate and does not have time for anything else.

i still had the same problem after reflashing the rom.

maybe i found my own answer.
I defragmented the internal memory by copying the content to my pc.
then you delete the memory card and copy everything back.

now tomtom seems fine.

i did have a small problem when i copied everything back. i got a "intern geheugen" directory wioth al my files. i deleted the normal directory and the 2 disappeared. if not, use total commander
