EDIT: This thread is not being made sticky by the Moderators for a good reason, so please stop asking them to. I have added a link to it to the wiki, and you can always subscribe to the thread for updates.....

I thought I'd try some of the diamond tweaks on the Raphael, just to see if any would work, and though i kinda figured they all would, it seems that in my particular case, some of them didn't, or at least didn't seem to.

ROM 1.66.405.1 WWE
Radio 1.02.25.11
RAPH100

Boost TFL3D Performance --> Using Advanced Config, change File system cache to 8mb and file system filter cache to 131072
Tested and works a treat. TF3D is sluggish and prone to long pauses before tweak, much faster afterwards

Boost TFL3D Performance --> HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768
Much quicker than number 1 on it’s own, now stonkingly fast.

Wake Up on New SMS --> HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <-- set to "1" by default. Change value to "0"
The Raphael (and the diamond on 1.93) now ring and vibrate for incoming SMS, so this is not really necessary, but will turn the screen on if that’s what you want (I personally don’t).

Switch Mute Call on phone flipped face down: HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE : FaceDownMuteRing: change value to "0"
Working correctly

Boost TFL3D Scrolling Speed --> - HKLM\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\limit = 16384 or 32768 (DWORD decimal)
- To change it back to the default: - HKLM\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\limit = 8192 (DWORD decimal)
Did this using schaps advanced config and it does not seem to make any difference whatsoever.

Prevent screen switching off during phone call --> HKEY_Local_Machine\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableFastD ormantDisplayDuringCall to 0 (Note: does not work on all ROMs) Doesn’t work
AND (tested and works on EU ROMs thanks to Rod65)
HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\Sleep switch value from 1 to 0 Doesn’t work
These failed to work individually and also when applied as a pair. No use on this Raphael ROM.
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\FastDormancyRule=0 doesn’t work either.
EDIT: this kinda worked when I tried it on the 1.90.405.1 ROM. the screen turns off once, but once you turn it back on, it stays on. YMMV.

Set HTC Album X button to close not minimize: ok_minimize change value to 0
Not needed any more. When task manager is set to close programs with the x button, album shuts correctly. Youtube on the other hand, doesn’t.

Disable Enlarged Title bar (when you click on a notification) to the default WM behavior: HKLM->Software->HTC->EnlargeTitleBar - and change "Enable" from 1 to 0.
Not needed any more. Start>settings>system>touchflo. Untick Show system status screen when status icons are tapped

Turn off startup aninmation and sound: HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation\ -> rename both "StartupGif" and "StartupWav" to other names
Works, but does not speed up boot time.

Enable GPS photo: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P10 -> change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1
Works

Another supposed TFL3D tweak for better performance: HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings:
SpeedHigh: default value (25) <-- Change to (5) / SpeedLow : default value (70) <-- Chnge to (14) save and soft reset
No difference that I noticed, but no adverse affects either.

Adjust screen sensitivity: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\TouchPanel
Value = PressureThreshold
Change from the default dword:00000027 or 34 to dword:000000f0 or 240 in decimal
Works fine. Can also be done in Schaps advanced config.

More Camera Modes:
To Enable 'Burst': HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P6 -> change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1
Works. Keep button pressed down to take more pictures

To Enable 'Sport': HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P8 -> change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1
Works. Takes 5 pictures in quick succession

To Enable 'Video Share': HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P9 -> change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1
Works

Enable HSUPA:
HKLM\Software\HTC\AdvancedNetwork\SupportHSUPA =change it to 1
Already enabled, so no need for this.

Remove orphan icons and shortcuts - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...97&postcount=3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2461697&postcount=3)
Erm, why not just delete them in File explorer for F***s sake??

Four icons in a row in WM Programs/Settings screens - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...4&postcount=16 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2462244&postcount=16)
Works a treat and looks pretty good too!

Remove Vertical and Horizontal Scrollbars
For the horizontal (bottom) scrollbar:
HKLM\System\GWE\cyHScr = 0 (DWORD decimal)
For the vertical (right) scrollbar:
HKLM\System\GWE\cxVScr = 0 (DWORD decimal)
Slight graphical distortion at the edge of the screen, but they are gone.

Disable SMS Conversation in WM 6.X
In Registry Editor: Create a folder named "OEM" in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs"
In the new "OEM" folder, make a new DWORD key called "SMSInboxThreadingDisabled" and give it a value of "1"
OEM folder already exists, and adding the key to this folder works a treat, although any messages already in the system are lost. Back them up using something like PIM backup first.

I didn't get a chance to try them all as i only have the Raphael for a very limited time, so i tried the ones i was interested in first. I have the device for a few more days yet (Still allowed to borrow it from work for the time being) so i may try a few more and update this later on.

Need to make the most of my time here before I leave my job and don't get access to the devices again!:D:p:D

EDIT: more have been added and tried.

cab file including these tweaks - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=104147&d=1217964322 - thanks to cliffgardner (and whoever created it if it wasn't you....!)

Smaller menus - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2473569 - thanks to techdave and ukdj78

Hope the OP won't mind me popping in another post.

Since this is a sticky I decided to make it a little easier to come by the reg entries. I copy pasted all the registry entries found in the thread up to 23-9-09. I have not tested any of these reg entries so be sure to read the thread if you have doubts about the entries.

Boost TFL3D Performance:

HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768
Thanks to Tiggles

SIP responsiveness boost:

1. Export HKCR\CLSID (will save to a *.reg file)
2. Del or Rename HKCR\CLSID
3. Import the backup of HKCR\CLSID
Turn off your device about 15 sec and reset

Thank you for testing :D
Any comments on the device itself. Especially things that differ from the Diamond e.g. the keyborad quality, sliding mechanism, landscape touchflo, camera with flash...

LED camera light is woefully awful, as is every LED on HTC phones (Not that there have been many)

Keyboard is nice and clicky, and a godsend after the horrors of an athena keyboard. Buttons are well shaped and even though they are quite close together and i have fat fingers, i only have a problem when typing the letter A, where i keep going one key too far left and hitting the caps lock instead.

Sliding mechanism on mine feels pretty solid, and is semi-automatic like the one on the p4350, and slides into place with a satisfying click.

As Arne Hess said on the unwired, the landscape touchflo is pretty basic, just a screen with 8 icons on it, and it does look pretty bland, but it does the job well.

The only thing i have noticed about sliding out the keyboard (and this may be because it is an early ROM) is that when i slide out the keyboard to type something, i have to wait a second or so for the cursor to start flashing. if i press a key straight away, then no matter what program i am in, it jumps to the landscape touchflo.
If i wait for the cursor to start flashing (at most a second), then it works perfectly.

Just a little thing, and nothing that annoys me, but i know it may annoy some people.

cool.
The cab file for adding the call history tab didn't seem to work for me. i just got stuck on the 'tap here to launch TF3D' page. as soon as i uninstalled it, tf3d came back.
I might try this and see how it works.

Has anyone with a UK Raphael with the following specs tried the above tweaks.

ROM Version: 1.90.405.1 WWE
ROM Date: 08/01/08
Radio Version: 1.02.25.19
Protocol Vesion: 52.33.25.17U

I have a UK HTC Touch Pro with the above ROM etc and my TouchFlo seems pretty quick as it is.

Just wondering if applying the tweask when you're ok would cause any issues.

I might try this and see how it works.

This one worked fine for me:

How to install:

1. Disable touch flo 3d.
like this: goto Start->Settings->Today->Items-> Remove the "v" from Touchflo 3d.
2. Intall my cab (Thanks for Fabliv and Bepe for the idea and files):

if you have rom 1.93.831.1 WWE:
http://rapidshare.com/files/132273300/Nadavi_Nadavi-Call_History_Diamond_TouchFlo.cab

if you have rom 1.37..xxx.x WWE:
http://rapidshare.com/files/132350894/Nadavi_1.37__Nadavi-Call_History_Diamond_TouchFlo.cab

3. soft reset.
4. Put Touch flo 3d back on, Same as step 1.

The result:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=100817&d=1216668168
(thanks Fabilv for the image).

Note: This will only work if you have the original Theme, did not tested it with other themes (o2,Vodafone,Orange)...

Enjoy,
Nadavi.

DO NOT ENABLE CLEARTYPE IN LANDSCAPE MODE WITH ADVANCED CONFIG ON THE RAPHAEL!

On my one it appeared to work fine, but I've just realised it causes a problem when typing in landscape mode on certain programs including entering urls in Opera - you can't actually see what you're typing at all until you go back to portrait mode!

It might be worth creating a separate thread for this to draw everyone's attention to it (I'll leave that up to the mods to decide), cos I enabled it straight away (well about an hour after I started playing with my Touch Pro)

I noticed the problem Friday night, but I've only just discovered what's causing it. I did a hard reset and starting doing tweaks one by one and soft resetting after each one, it's definitely cleartype in landscape that causes the problem.

The first TFL3D tweak u can do with the tool AdvancedConfig v2.1.0.0 from Schap.
New version v3.0 is out now but haven't tested it yet.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070

For the second TFL3D tweak u have to edit your registry. I used dotfred's taskmanager v3.1 to do that.

Can somebody help me?
I've search this section and the one about the TD, but couldn't find a solution.

In Touch-Flo, if you press an Icon, ie People, it instantly wants to (pre)load the pictures. (And in Mail the opening envelop, etc.)
That takes a few seconds, and at that moment it won't scroll through the icons.

When you keep it pressed longer, you'll get the small icon big in the upper screen.
And then my Touch-Flo is very fast, with the tweaks I've read here.

But how do I tell the Raphael not to get the actual info, but first give me the big icon of the section, Home, People, Messages, Mail and so forth?
That way touch-flo works fine.

And at the Diamond it works alright: It first gives the big icon in the upper screen, and after you release your finger it opens that section, displaying the contents

Couple of questions

Is there a way to set the duration you need to press the End call button for the DeviceLock to kick in?

Is there a way to add a program to the TF3D programs list that is not properly installed? I have an application which I installed by moving a directory to my SD card. I'd link a link to that executable on the TF3d programs screen

Not sure about setting the duration for pressing the button, but in "settings/system/Long Press End Key" there's a pretty useful option, always display the Quick List which adds a lot more functionality to the end call button as well as just the DeviceLock.

Sorry if you already knew that, but I have found it really useful and it took me a couple of days to spot it! ;)

As far as I know, it just pulls the list of programs from the programs menu.
Shove a shortcut for the program in \Windows\start menu\programs and see if it picks it up.

But how do I tell the Raphael not to get the actual info, but first give me the big icon of the section.....From how you describe it, i am afraid to say it sounds like user error.
Make sure that you tap and slide, starting at the icon of the tab that you are currently on. for example, when you are on the home tab, tap on the home icon and then slide it across to the weather icon to open the weather tab.

If you tap on another tab than the one you are on, Touchflo goes straight to that tab. That's what it's supposed to do.

I think it depends on the ROM on the diamond. If i remember rightly, the 1.35 and 1.37 ROMs did exactly that but i don't think 1.93 does (or not that i have noticed anyway, not really paid attention the last week or two). You could start the slide from anywhere. The earlier Diamond ROMs also had a little more animation on the touchflo, such as the pages fading in from the side as you selected them. The later ROMs and the Raphael don't do that. Seems HTC decided to make the device run nice and quick and sacrifice just a tiny bit of the shininess. good job too i think.

Anyone figure this one out yet...

Nothing ticks me off more than trying to read an email to someone while on the phone, and having to hit the power button 20 times every 3 seconds to relay two words at a time.

Thoughts???

I thought I'd try some of the diamond tweaks on the Raphael, just to see if any would work, and though i kinda figured they all would, it seems that in my particular case, some of them didn't, or at least didn't seem to.

ROM 1.66.405.1 WWE
Radio 1.02.25.11
RAPH100

Boost TFL3D Performance --> Using Advanced Config, change File system cache to 8mb and file system filter cache to 131072
Tested and works a treat. TF3D is sluggish and prone to long pauses before tweak, much faster afterwards

Boost TFL3D Performance --> HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768
Much quicker than number 1 on it’s own, now stonkingly fast.[FONT=Tahoma]

Maybe a stupid question, but I'm kinda new at this so bare with me :)
When I've done the two tweaks and I'm going back to the first tweak to check if my system has done everuthing correctly, I notice that the "File system cache" is no longer on 8mb but on 32768 (like the value for the second tweak).
Is this supposed to happen?

I also noticed that after these two tweaks and a soft reset later, TFL3D takes a lot longer to load then before the tweaks. Is this normal?

it only allows 6 so I changed to

but, after a reset and a look in the comm manager, 3G and data connection are greyed out and cannot be switched...is this normal?

I did some more testing after your post...thanks for the quick reply. It appears to work for me as well. The "INCOMING" call did shut off around 3 seconds of connectivity, then shut off. I then pressed the power button, and it stayed on indefinately. I did test it on an "OUTGOING" call, and noticed it never shut off.

Therefore, it works perfectly on the outgoing, and just requires one power button activation on the incoming.

Thanks everyone for the help. This phone is the best phone I've ever owned in my life. If it would connect 3G to the US network, I'd keep it forever and ever (until the next generation comes out).

Another fix:
As was mentioned in another thread there are some unused services/processes running by default on our TP:

Opera9.exe (have no idea why)
OperaPreL.exe (have no idea why)
Biotouch.exe - used for 3D Cube (not used anly longer on TP afaik - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=401984)

Because it would reeeeeeeeeeeeally be cool to have access to those kind of configuration windows to easily disable useless services / programs from "startup" )or soft reset) or program them to unload when you finish using the programs to which they related to.

I'm having the same problem with the Touch Pro going to sleep during a call as well. I have tried disabling the light sensor using Advance Config. 3.2 by itself, that didn't work. I used the two regedits and soft rest the device, that didn't work. I've used the two regedits and disabled the light sensor and that didn't work either.

Under normal circumstances, I guess this would be okay but it's a nightmare trying to access or change voicemail or anything that requires listening to prompts and pressing a key.

No worries...we all have several threads to review discussing similiar topics. I am amazed to see how everyone with the same device has very different behavior. I understand it happens with every device, but it does seem even more visible with this device. I see it even more with two Touch Pro's under my roof. One of the things I thought was the spupidest of all, was the reply all soft button in the mail programm. The function I (probably everyone) use(s) most is reply and not reply all!

I was very happy with the next fix
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=424697

From the link:

If you want to fix it you need to turn outlook enhancement off.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Servic es\OutlookEnhancement]
"Module"=""

then softreset

to turn it on

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Servic es\OutlookEnhancement]
"Module"="\\windows\\OutlookEnhancement.dll"

then softreset

It works for me! I tried everything in mail, and it seems to me that the only thing outlookenhancement does is change the reply button to reply all. And this is a HTC thing.

Anyone else done this tweak, is it just the case of deleting Outlookenhancment.dll or do you need to replace it with anything else

In Touch Pro it should be started through Bootlauncher.

But in older builds and Diamond it got started as a regular service

Boost TFL3D Performance --> Using Advanced Config, change File system cache to 8mb and file system filter cache to 131072
Tested and works a treat. TF3D is sluggish and prone to long pauses before tweak, much faster afterwards

Boost TFL3D Performance --> HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768
Much quicker than number 1 on it’s own, now stonkingly fast.[FONT=Tahoma]

Anyone notice that after using these tweaks that your People tab, Photos tab and weather lagging? ie when you flick through the contacts/photos/cities?

Also launching programs takes a little longer?

Scrolling side to side on TF3D seems faster but it may have compromised other things, or is just me??

ATT did it again! They crapped up the first impression of a great device with an obnoxiously loud startup animation. I'm not quite ready to start flashing my new Fuze, so as a Hermes (8525) owner, I immediately went to HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation and changed the volume, removed the 3G_Up.wav value, etc. But it was still making that horrid noise! I went looking for the 3G_Up.wav file in my Windows folder and it wasn't there. What I did find was a file Power_Up4sec.wav. Seems to be the same file. So I went looking in the registry and found this key: HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation\StartupWav. THe value here match that wav file I found. Once I deleted the value, the sound stopped.

I'm using Total Commanderm when I click on that "StartupWav" key, or show its properties, all I see is the "contents" which shows a path to "\windows\power_up4sec.wav". When I check the Connectivity, it shows "Media Net (HSDPA) Connected", even when I've got nothing going on. Also, it doesn't show me the running time of the connection like it used to. any idea why:

Boost TFL3D Performance --> Using Advanced Config, change File system cache to 8mb and file system filter cache to 131072

and

Boost TFL3D Performance --> HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768

reset to defaults after soft restarts? sometimes if i apply them and soft restart right away they will stay but if lets say I turn off the phone and back on, the settings are usually gone. File system filter cache seems to be the only one that remains there...

Boost TFL3D Performance --> HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768
These two items affect the same registry key. 8MB in AC is the same as 16384 in the registry. Changing the registry value to 32768 effectively equals setting the value in AC to 16MB.

(The registry value is the number of 512-byte sectors, so 16384*512B = 8388608B = 8MB.)

As is stated in the first post, you can use a couple of progs to get you in the right direction. Find a good reg edit prog (I've been using Resco but you will have to pay for it) and Advanced Config (I've been using 3.3). Advanced Config is very useful for most of the tweaks in the first post including the faster performance tweak. There is a folder in Advanced Config specific to Performance and other parts of the phone.

Have fun :D

Yes, they did, but it's an easy fix that requires only one registry change which can be found somewhere on this board. Since it may be burried somewhere, here it is: HKLM\Comm\InternetSharing\Settings
In here will be a value named "ForceCellConnection" Delete ATT ICS so that the value is blank and reboot.

It doesn't come with a registry editor. You have to get one. I prefer Resco, but many others swear by Total Commander. There are many besides those.

But given what may be your apparent lack of familiarity with your phone, or possibly WinMo in general, I STRONGLY suggest that you read all the info in the Wiki before you start mucking around in the registry. And get yourself a good backup program so you can recover if (when) something gets screwed up.

I have no issues performing any of these edits, or questions on HOW to do them, my only question is if my Rom/Radio version is going to cause these edits not to work.

Apologies for the stupid question but I promise it's my last. You guys are pretty much my heroes for figuring all this stuff out.

i could be wrong but if you only have settings for one network then there is nothing to choose from so go to settings>connections>connections to see if you have more than one.

Is there a registry string that allows you to set the programs tab to 4 icons wide etc.? I seen a post for setting the program and settings page but not the program tab. I have seen this before using TF2D on my old Tilt You could set it 4 wide and I forgot how far you could go in rows. Thanks in advance if anyone knows.

Hey! what's up... I did all of the above and for some reason my screen keeps turning on still... I have the Verizon Touch Pro and it didn't have this DWORD Value in the Key and I had to create it? Can someone help because its getting really annoying when it is in my pocket and the screen turns on.

Anyone figure this one out yet...

Nothing ticks me off more than trying to read an email to someone while on the phone, and having to hit the power button 20 times every 3 seconds to relay two words at a time.

Thoughts???

I had the same problem.
The first key didn't work for me.
Then I Changed both keys at the same time.
Don't forget a power cycle, nescessary for the change to activate!
And that did the trick for me.

I have changed only the "Sleep" key and now I have no black-outs of the screen when calling or receiving calls (as far as I can see). I am on official HTC ROM (1.90.00.00 shown during boot, 1.90.401.1 WWE in device information) - that ROM was in this phone from the moment it was bought.

Not sure if this matters, but I had BT headset connected in all calls ... but then I know that before changing the Sleep key despite being on headset (Motorola H500) the phone was blanking and even when woken up it was going black again. Now it does not blank unless I press the power button and then continue with screen "detached".

But life ain't perfect - can't get those 4-in-a-row-icons in the programs tab despite changing the spacing and font size - perhaps I need to get rid of the scrollbar (?) or adjust the spacing for the "missing 13 pixels".

After tweak my Comm Manager, 3G button is enabled

By turning 3G "On", how can i 'force' my device to connect using 3G/HSDPA only?? ... instead of "Auto" which searches for 3G first, then EDGE/GPRS

this is because my place has 1 bar 3G signal.. when using "Auto" it automatically changes to GPRS.. 1 bar 3G is much faster then full bar GPRS, right?

Another registry tweak:

Here's a reg hack to manually rotate your screen, only when desired.
In Settings/Buttons/ one used to be able to assign a button to <Rotate Screen>. This feature is hidden on the Touch Pro.

To get it back:
Using a Registry editor, go to:
HKeyLocalMachine/System/GDI/Rotation
Change the "HideOrientationUI" from 1 to 0

Now you can remap the talk key to do this on long press.

It activates the flash for VIDEO record mode as I clearly stated and your the first one to have a phone crash cause of it. I actually find it hard to believe unless you have something else going on with the camera since it only activates a button when its USED nothing gets loaded Check the rest of your TWEAKS make one TWEAK at a time never do a bunch you wont be able to pinpoint the cause. Good luck

As always when doing anything to your phone ITS AT YOUR OWN RISK

One of the things I thought was the spupidest of all, was the reply all soft button in the mail programm. The function I (probably everyone) use(s) most is reply and not reply all!

I was very happy with the next fix
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=424697

From the link:

If you want to fix it you need to turn outlook enhancement off.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Servic es\OutlookEnhancement]
"Module"=""

then softreset

to turn it on

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Servic es\OutlookEnhancement]
"Module"="\\windows\\OutlookEnhancement.dll"

then softreset

It works for me! I tried everything in mail, and it seems to me that the only thing outlookenhancement does is change the reply button to reply all. And this is a HTC thing.

Thanks for the info bussc067! I agree & hated the Reply All button! It worked great for me so I made up a cab I posted on Dutty's Diamond thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3184852#post3184852
It just clears out that Dll key (along with small txt file as noted) & puts it back (removing txt file) on uninstall so I assume it should work on the Raphael or other WM devices with that so-called 'enhancement' dll.
Hope that helps someone who doesn't feel like using regedit.

I got my Fuze on Monday, and since then, I have been configuring it day and night. I have kept the stock ROM as I would like to have the warranty intact. I am assuming that the configuration changes using AdvancedConfig are applicable to stock ROMs too. Please correct me if I am wrong. With that assumption, I have made a few changes using AdvancedConfig (AC). Two of the most important changes I needed were the finger pressure and screen sensitivity (threshold). internet sharing came with my stock fuze... did it not come with yours?

At least the IS that I had from stock did not had the option to tether, and I started looking for an option that didn't involve registry editing.

and I also found this alternative from eliut:

"OK, so I downloaded the new AT&T Comm Manager and that didnt work (v3.10 vs v3.8). Then I researched the Fuze Manual and found:

Select Internet Sharing in the Programs tab.
Activate that first, then connect to the PC over USB
(can also be done over bluetooth)
It automatically connects the PC to the Web!
On my Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet... I used Access Connections of the ThinkVantage Technologies utilities to create a location for this using the following settings:

Ethernet Network Adapter (Yes, select Ethernet even though its connected over USB)
Select Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device
Turn OFF Ethernet authentication

The Access Connections is a great utility to help you switch among several available networks.

No need to touch the Registry! "

ANY WAY it is easier with the CAB, it was hard to find it a lot of reading and loss of time, I just think that the CAB alternative should be in the Wiki as a fast alternative fro newbies or any user looking for a quick alternative.

If i change File system cache using advaced config to 8 mb and after that i change HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768 , the file system cache in advanced config is set up to 32768,so these 2 tweaks do same thing(maybe i am wrong but to my tp that's happen)
What of these 2 tweak is better? To mee seems that decreased speed in tf3d...but who knows

The same thing here.
The two settings are the same.
Setting File system cache to 8mb using advanced config results in a cachesize of 16384.

i hard reset 3 days ago and didnt bother changing the cache size to 32 mb (as i had done before my reset). I didn't notice any difference...

Are you guys actually noticing any difference from this tweak?
