hi all, i recently seen a nice spb calc diamond skin, and i decide to make my own much more like manilla dialer (white), hope you like it !

Portrait AND landscape :).

as usual install spbcalc wich is in the zip, then copy the 2 gifs to your /windows

EDIT: you must copy the 2 gifs files with file explorer like resco or total commander FROM YOUR DEVICE, don't use activsync!!, when do it properly the system must ask you : are you sure to replace existing files ? then answer yes to all, this way it should work...

EDIT 2: QVGA conversion by vitornog SEE PAGE 3 !!!

EDIT 3: "Ready to use" CAB file by Rondol1 on PAGE 4,thx man !!

EDIT 4: Updated portrait (with smoother fonts) see attached zipped gif, copy it in windows folder...

EDIT 5: FINAL VERSION SEE: SPB CALC MANILA STYLE FINAL.ZIP, I have not included QVGA in this version cos the image quality is not good in QVGA and i don't have a QVGA device...Installation as usual...Waiting for someone to make a "ready to use" CAB

EDIT 6: Now with cab installer , many, many thanks Rondol1: thanks to him just install the cab and voila !!

It doesnt work. I get the black skin that comes with the .cab .. but not this skin. I copied the Gif in to Windows folder .. what have i done wrong?

may be try a soft reset (if not already done)
...did the system ask you to replace the old gifs ? if not, you surely unzip in wrong folder or apply path when unzipping, the gifs must be in windows folder not in windows/spbcalc.../

please check, and tell us.

same for me on my diamond, & I've already copied the 2 attachment skin files to window folder, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ;)

I had the black background too, this was when I tried to copy the images via activesync into windows, it did not prompt for overwrite.

I copied the files onto the internally storage, then copied them and pasted them into windows folder on the device using file explorer on the phone, it then prompted if I wanted to overwrite.

It works with the method I just did.

Hi, the cab is working, you just have to install and then copy the two gifs in windows folder but not from activesync, i do this by the file explorer in my diamond and Voila! ça marche...

i found a problem, you dont extracted directly in windows folder.
you must extact 2 immage files in internal storage before copyng to windows folder.

hi, i use to extract directly from my diamond with the zip utility embedded, but be aware to untick the "Apply path" when choosing folder to extract.

For qvga the files are SpbCalc_P and SpbCalc_L without the ..._VGA.
I've resized the images and renamed.
It's solved in my case.

Sorry. I was redirected from http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=574 and I've only noticed that this was a diamond forum after posted my reply. I liked and I've tried this on my HTC touch cruise (polaris not VGA like diamond). As it didnt' worked at first... Anyway I've just made a simple recize from L.Sylvain files (the easy part).

You say install spbcal but I don't see that in your zip. When I install SpbBlack47_CaculatorSkin.cab I get the wonky black keys. I want it to look like your picture. Any ideas? Has spbcalc been deleted?

Thanks to L.Sylvain. Having installed the cab file and overwrote the default 2 gif files in Windows folder, the Calc displays and works well as posted.

Sorry, but am I missing something...what would be the correct sizing for the resize? I've tried resizing but the screen is still messed up.

Agree great skin. SPB calc def has the mc and mr buttons the other way round, could someone amend the Manila skin?

I did just so for personal use. Now I repacked the cab-file so it will install the adapted manila-skin instantly, no need to swap files afterwards (only VGA at the moment).

To get landscape mode, install Gsen to your diamond then turn your phone, and Gsen will turn automatically your display.

your files are (i think) for qvga, this manila skin is for vga only, this is why you see black calculator instead of manila...

I had this one installed:

tried to install and uninstall it several times. But no success. No other skin can be installed.

Any ideas?

EDIT:
OK, solved. Found the registry entry for all SpB Software under HKCU/Software/SpB... and deleted it completely. After that I'm able to install the calculator skins again.

Is there an option for this calculator to display the commas in the thousands. Sometimes is hard to read a large number with a lot of digits without the commas separating the thousands.
