Evening ladies n gentlemen
got a bit of a problem.
Ive somehow managed to damage my touchscreen, How i dont know when peeling off my protective layer and holding the phone at an angle I can see slightly what looks like a liquidy type patch on the screen.
aahhhhh. whether it happened in my pocket or what ive not idea
Anyhow.
I was thinking. shit!! better quicky back up numbers etc etc
However, when installing active sync 4.5 and attempting to dock the phone. all was cool accept that it asked my to unlock the password (as I have the password feature enabled to prevent unauthorised use, as you do)
Now. on the older 4.2 and v4.0 active sync when docking the phone you can type you password on the computer and the phone unlocks. However, 4.5 doesnt seem to allow this and this phone will only work with 4.5.
Now as I cannot used the screen to tap in my 4 digit password and unlock the phone active sync will not let me in to back up my data
is there absolutely NO way around this. surely there most be some little developers trick for getting around this...
If there isnt, will replacing the screen loose all my data??
Im hoping one of you on the forum has a solution.
