Just want to inform members that the official ROM update is available on HTC e-club site.

Description:
1. Enabled GSM 850 band.
2. Fixed weather update to work with M1 SIM card.
3. Improved TouchFLO 3D tab switching and movement speed.
4. Improved home page loading speed.
5. Turned off the 5-second auto screen off function when screen is turned back on by pressing power key during a voice call. Screen off timeout will follow system power setting.
6. Added random access bar to the right hand edge of the screen for selection of weather countries and cities.

I hope O2 will update its Rom as soon as possible, cant wait to test the new version :)

So obviously this ROM is for an unbranded Diamond, how would you go about flashing it onto a Vodafone branded one? Do you need to use SPL etc?

I believe this is the latest WWE rom, i guess this is the UK one. I flashed this rom and my time zone was in UK after install.

Nope you can not change the language. It is english language.
If you want Danish then you need this rom.

I have a t-mobile branded one and i flashed it with the HTC european offical rom. to do that i needed hard SLP.

hmm... the phone app seems to have taken a step backwards, there's no 'contacts' option? been replaced with 'video call' instead.
not really user-friendly?
this rom update added a "display switch" app, no need to install screen switch already.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
1.93 is the rom version .832 is from which country it is made and .2 is the the second one made in the 1.93 version.
So everything with 1.93 is the same version no matter what is behind it.

Flashed the new rom 12 hours ago. It's alot faster and the screen is more sensitive. I like it alot better now. Was thinking of selling the phone but now I might keep it.

I'm not sure if this can be flashed on phones from outside of Asia. This was found on the HTC e-Club Southeast Asia Site.

If you can point me to a FTP site, I'll upload it!

Sounds interesting. No tweaks needed means no extra apps needed to install :)

I look forward to this being made available for testing.

Just wondering - will there be any difference between this and the 1.93.405.1 WWE? (UK Release available for me to d/l at HTC site) If not have you tried any cooked ROMS and tweaks? As noone else has said an official ROM was faster than cooked with tweaks.

can anybody help i installed this on my mda compact iv, before the install when i connected to the internet the big H symbol would indicate im online with a connection arrow or somthing but now nothing happens the only way to tell im online is if i click onto it and see the timer still rumming,plus for some reason it keeps reconnectimg to the net for no reason:confused:

I have never updated rom on the diamond phone, is it difficult? If for example the new rom is vey bad, can i then revert to the older rom that i had? I have now swedish rom version 1.37.413.3 SVE and radio version 1.00.25.03. Is it safe to update to the new official rom? When i hard reset the phone will it revert to the original rom that i had when i buyed the phone?

We know where we can find the "contacts" with the new rom.
The problem is that now we need 100 clicks to get there...
This is really ^%#$^!@%$#^!%$^...

In the new rom, "contacts" soft key is replaced with "video call".
Why the hell would somebody do that with the most important key?

Beside this “video call” remark the new Official ROM 1.93.707.1 WWE is great improvement!
I mean really great without any memory tweaks!
Highly recommended by me...

however, its definitely not the best way if our contacts list is really long.

after testing all the in-built apps in this latest rom, my opera browser doesn't work anymore. just shows the 'loading' screen forever and when i close it, the error reporting screen comes up. anyone else face the same issue?

did a hard reset, opera works fine now. hmm... something I noticed after the initial rom upgrade; the opera folder had no cache file at all.

Bit confused as I grabbed 1.93.401.2 from HTC website (I have an HTC official unit) and this version is still on their website (even today)

So where is 1.93.707.1 from? What about differences from the above rom?
