When I choose new, sms, add recipient, I get the contact list but... I miss the alphabet at the right to easy choose the first letter of the contact..
How comes?

Go to Contacts, Contacts, Menu, Options. Now uncheck, yes uncheck Show alphabetical index.

On my whislist are a call filter and a automatic profile setting based on location (cell ID). This is something I would like to have on my phone after every hard reset and any soft I found is either bulky or it doesn't do the job right. An utility for the sim switch would be good to, I just saw the signature, sorry for your loss.

I changed the today screen to load only one plugin, that is BatteryStatus and skinned it to replace Htc Home - see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350510 especially thanks to Slikkie's theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350510&page=64 and Ababrekar's http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2591673&postcount=1132. Now one question, there's a newer version of BS and it's Homescreen +, can I install it over the integrated BS ( that cannot be uninstalled ) ?

The last weeks I tried many Manila Rom's, but I think all of them consumes too much memory for the Elf, and it slows down the performance.
So I'm back to the best rom ever for the Elf: your Touch Surface 6.1 rom !!
Can you tell me if there will be an update, without Manila or with Manila but then with enough memory free and a good performance ?

There will be an update.

It will not have Manilla2D.

I'm happy enough to have had a hand in getting it out there that i don't need to go showing it of in My own rom.

(Trust me i feel really proud of getting a working Beta out in less then 6 hours after getting pointed to it)

At the moment i'm trying to get a little footprint over at the Diamond Forum by changing the Mentality of Cooks and users there. Abebrekars also doing his best of bringing over the good stuff we have grown to know here at Touch forum. It's been a very hectic month And i know for myself that i have made some mishapps in sometimes using Shock and Awe tactics in some other forums. I know in retrosepect that i could have done some things differently. Looking back at the time i have put into doing something for Dutch Diamond owners i ask myself if it was worth it?

If you take the devices away i like the Elf and Wizard Forums more then the new Toys Forums..

But because of all the other involvements all over the XDA forum my Surface Kitchen has become a little fucked up. Which is also scaring me a little away to fix it again. Which doesn't mean i won't. But it's a little bit like i forgot where i was going and what needed to be fixed or made better.

I know that what i've been working on in my Wizard rom and Diomand Rom set the standards in Extreme Clean Cooking never before seen in any rom. And i no longer care about the recognition that much anymore.

BUT I WILL MAKE a Service pack 1 for the Surface ROM.

Because i read from reactions and know from my own experience that it is a Stable and special rom. But i can't promise when that will be.

Because with what i know now i would have to redisign a few thing.

I hope you can understand that i'm not turning my back on this ROM and i am working on a workflow that will alow me to work on four Roms at the same time.

If my motivation is a little down to continue on this, it is more because of what i see happening on other places on XDA then on the Touch forum. And for me it is more important to change that around. And it is also teaching me a bit how to handle my own ego.

Because let's face it. No one is going to cook a public ROM if he or she did not believe that he or She could do it better.

If you don't believe you can do it better or different then Stay out of the Kitchen.

But because of the respect i have for some of the Now active ELF cooks making New roms i miss that "Do It Better motivation". I like these guys and think they are making some great roms. I miss that basic motivation of doing it better, because i think they are doing great. I don't want to even think about competing with them.

And to top it of i had to protect a few Users from Serious harresment and Copyright infringements against users and therefore XDA and trying to keep the heat down between some pretty Big names.

So very hectic months and i have been putting an enormous amount of Time into XDA, i'm sorry if this isn't felt directly for the people that like this ROM. I really apreciate the somments and the trust and the confirmation that Surface Rocks.

I hope this makes a little bit of Sense.

And yes i will use that Splash screen.

Bereda Sorry for not acting upon your great effort of trying to get a new M2D surface rom out.

Basicly what i'm trying to say is.

FUCK that shit, guys let's go make a kitchen for the Users that can actually apreciate it.

You first need to CID unlock you phone. Use the search on how to do that. Look at the sticky topics in this section. Should all be explained there! :)

Hi Noonski,

I updated my rom yesterday to Touch surface succesfully.

It restarted a couple of times. Later when it was stable i tried some of its features and the phone hanged. I waited for about 5-7 min for itself to come back to normal but it didn't.
So i turned off the phone.
Now the problem is its not booting.:eek:
When I try to turn on it shows 'smart mobility' and then turns off again.
Can you please help me to find a solution to this or atleast to go back to original rom?

I am a big fan of this rom, i have no knowledge regarding changing the xip and sys..
I request the developers here to change it to the new stable xip.. it would be helpful, and if posible increase it storage memory..

I got the diamiond on a a Donation trade deal. And the Pro on Contractr renewal.

But the good thing is that al my old devices are still working despite the many flashes.

Except for my SPV which is hardware bricked.

I´ve got the Sync Error 86000107 on my Elf - I´ve to sync with 2 pc´s (work&private). Got your very good rom on it. Have you got a possibility to fix this problem? For example with WM6.5? Would be nice coz I like your Rom and won´t to get back to the original WM6.1.

I was thinking about flashing one of those flashy new roms onto it to give to my little sister.

And then i remembered that i still needed to fix something on this one.

After being away cooking for Wizard, Diamond and Touch Pro i learned that i should never have removed the DRM from SYS.

This is most probably what was causing the MP4 playback issues.

So for this weekend, althought some might have moved on to newer things i will look into making a Patch for that issue, Hopefully finishing this Rom up.

Now it might look weird coming from the person that made this.
But i have yet to encounter a rom, like this one, it felt like coming home.

And i am going to kill my sister if she breaks My Touch.
