Dear Experts :)
Since I would like to know, how a phone 'works', this question.
I have a feeling that a phone does the following when turned on the first time:
it starts the IPL, SPL (first and second program loader), copies the OS to the RAM, and then starts the OS.
But at a soft reset, it does not copy anymore? Files that are in 'ROM' are copied to RAM first, they are not 'really' in ROM, are they?
I am guessing, that the file-system we use in our mobiles, is MIRRORED from the ROM chip. Is this true?
Well, the main question is, what expert could tell me some tech-talk of the uses system? Main purpose is so I know what cooking my rom is all about (instead of just deleting some programmes) and, for educational purposes (I write educational material), I just want to know that bit more about stuff :)
Don't be afraid it gets too techy, I can handle some.
