View Full Version : Is there a *quick* way to switch A2DP (BT Stereo) ON and OFF ???

Right now if I want to listen to stereo through the BT headset, I need to do the following:

1. Enter the COMM manager.
2. Enter settings>Bluetooth.
3. Enter my BT headset.
4. Mark "Wireless Stereo".
5. Press "save".

When I want to stop using the BT headset for Stereo, I need to do it all over again.

This process is very cumbersome, and I wondered if there is a way to make it a "one key process".

If only I knew of a MACRO software for WM6 that can create a file for the MACRO, I could put this file on the programs tab, but I know of no such software...

Sorry a further question rather than an answer.

What B/T headphones are you using I have tried using my Jabra 320's (which worked brilliantly on my SE W880I) but it will only recognises it as a B/T hands free unit, no BT stereo, as far as I can see it should see the A2DP profile but not.

With your problem, have you tried going to settings, communications tab and turn off B/T broadcasting?

The macro software is called mortscript, but the real solution is teksoft's free a2dptoggle.

I'm using Sony's DS980 headphones (The LED allows you to see CallerID, initiate calls from your contacts, control your music, etc.).

But I still want to use the "hands free" feature, so this is not a good option.

Thanks surur. I once gave a2dptoggle a chance with my Kaiser, didn't work. Will try again now with the Diamond.

Ok, today I found out I can't use the A2DPtoggle thingy. It seems my DS980 headset activates the A2DP feature everytime I press on one of its keys (even just to enter contacts).

I simply don't understand how come nobody succeeded to add an A2DP toggle to the COMM manager...

I recommend http://maxmobilesoft.com/software/btmusic

Works like a charm.

Thanks.

I tried it but it doesn't seem to work well. When I press "enable", all it changes is the "headset audio" to ON (but A2DP doesn't change to ON), then I hear everything through the headset, but it's not A2DP quality, rather the mono quality of a regular phone call.

I don't want a today plugin although it looks nice, I just want my right softkey to toggle my BT. Does anyone have a shortcut to do that?

a2dptoggle can be scripted and run without the today plug-in.

Look at the a2dptoggle web site. You'll find the command line switched that will enable you to use it without the today plugin.
