Hi, there will be an update to a new release on Thursday or Friday. The SMS and so on is fixed, but there are still some probs, so that i will release it when its fixed. PS: There should be all in German now.

Just flashed the ROM.
After booting, I get some errors as certain shortcuts placed in the Autorun-folder do not work. Furthermore, which is more complicated, ActiveSync does not work for me. Contacts and calender cannot be synced. Does this work for you?

Aaah, I found the problem. After the upgrade, I didn't do a hardreset - but a softreset. That caused the trouble.

From my point of view, your ROM works fine. There's no need to include more stuff. Instead, I'd remove the additional programs you've included.

You have to install the two cabs out of the Folder first. Then do a soft reset. After that run the update and it will work.

You need the soft key changer.

Using the x will minimise Programms. To close them completly use teh taskmanager. Start>Einstellungen>System>TaskManager (Or something like that).

Hi. In my release there is a X-Button installed with the pBar-Application. There is no need to install or search for other solutions, because this one works very good. You can see it right beside the Battery-Symbol in topbar. If you press X then the application is closed (only CommMan and ActiveSync you must close manually). You can find also a real TaskManager in "Programme"-"Tools"-"TaskMgr" <- this is a very fine goodie with registry editor and much more - try it.

At first: Great ROM! Works nice 4 me.

But I think, I've found a bug. When you going to "Start -> Einstellungen -> System -> Hintergrundbeleuchtung", you can not change the brightness of the Display.

Is it "normal", or have i done an error at the update?

Now the brightness-option works nicely. Very big THX to you!
But i've found an other bug. My "OK" Button doesn't work everytime.
Sometimes it's all ok, sometimes i can klick a lot of time at "OK / X" but the device doesn't react.

And one more: After your Update at 0.5 (also at 0.7c) my Charmer works very slow. At Example when you klick to "Messaging", it works only after 10-15 seconds.

Did you fix that allready, or is it an error on my Device? WM5 (flash before wm6.1 0.7c) works nicely.

Found my Error! It's the "Diamond Tastatur (groß)". When i'm activate it, my Charmer is very slow. Anybody have an idea?

The OK problem is also known in my ROM. It seems to be an issue in WM6.1 with some Charmers. I'm looking for a fix in my ROM and I think Cyberdel will use it also in his ROM, when I found it.

Till then you can close everything with PBar (Exept for settings, because they aren't saved then)

The Keyboard problem are the grafiks used I think. Don't think that there is a solution.

Yes, you can also use pBar to close Apps. But.. "Die macht der Gewohnheit" ;)

I have changed my Hardkey (Kalender) to Button "Close". It's also working.
I hope you and Cyberdel find a fix. Your and Cyberdel's ROM's are great!

@fatalx: i realised that some programs can not be closed by the X-Button, specially ActiveSync and CommMan. Solution: U must click more than one time OK, or X <- sorry about this, i have it since wm6.0. And to the 2nd problem with slow speed. I can't feel it so, maybie the gullum Keyboard is it. Try to change the Standard Keyboard to the old one. in an new release i searching for a solution with keyboard, maybie standard with diamond like skin.

This problem is only at gullum's diamond board in the "big" version (Diamond Tatstatur (groß)).

The normal and the small version works very nice. I think i and all of the others can handle this over the "small" version. With a little bit of practise it works very well.

A "normal" WM6 keyboard with the look of an HTC Diamond Keyboard isn't perfect. What's with an update of gullums "big" version? Anyone know about it?

To my other problem: You're right. When i often klick at "Close", the program shut down/minimize. But no problem. The calender hardkey isn't really important ;)

PS: I found other bugs. The rest, i've written down in a PM.

EDIT: after a few softresets, the big keypad is also working...! at the moment i'm writing from my charmer... ;)

I found a problem with charging my charmer. After I attached the Charmer to my car-charger, it seemed to be charged (red LED lights up), but the battery just looses power.

Can anybody confirm this / provide a solution?

Nice Work, i switched now from my own WM6 to your 6.1 and its a good, stable work. Congratulations.

Just some items:

1) When i connect my Device to Active Sync, the Volume (Lautstärke) jumps to "Vibrate" automaticaly, and i have to turn volume on again. (see pic)
Does this happen to anyone else?

2) In Einstellungen/System/Speicher the Tasks (running Programs) are not shown anymore, is this normal with WM 6.1?

3) It seems that the System uses the font Calibri but in registry still "Tahoma" is set as System Font, so far so good.
When you now install a programm like Microsoft Reader, that installs additional Fonts (e.g. Frutiger) then Systen uses the "wrong" font.
You have to add following to theregistry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\FontAlias]
"Tahoma"="Calibri"

No other bugs so far

Hole system is little slower that WM 6.1 from ChrBeck.

Untranslated strings:
- In guide on first launch - how works with pen - picture is in deutch
- after fist boot automatic update is in english
- HTC Home plugin is in english (there is any translation?)
- sounds events is in deutch

Can you change keyboards layouts to QWERTZ?
In ChrBeck ROM is good stuff - touch moving (by finger), You know what I mean - Can you add it into your ROM?

Another remarks I will add during using phone.

First i downgraded to the orig. telekom 3.3 aku and WM5 and the transmitted the enablerapi.cab and the Cert_SPCS.cab files to the WM5 mda and installed them.

after that i tramsmitted the 0.9b version and got the error on the mda "cant find the repllog.exe file". On the PC there is no error... (I also got that error while the 0.9a installation a few weeks ago but i continued the progress and everything worked fine)

But now the mda hangs up on the bootscreen and displays only
IPL 3.08.0001
SPL 3.08.0001
GSM 0.2.69.21
OS 6.1.0.0
IPL and SPL is the version of WM5 right?
I´m gonna reinstall wm5 again and try it once more...
I will report and hope everything will work fine...
Pherhaps i do something wrong and anybody can help me...

Interesting.
When I installing 0.9b CZ version, the enablerapi and cert is installed automaticaly during procedure of .BAT file.
And I have no error during transfer.

Today I was in town and using my phone with 0.9b CZ and must to say, that this rom is great!
When I switch to classic keyboard, phone is so fast and functiong well. During phone call i see call duration (on WM 6.1 from ChrBeck i can't) and behaviour of all phone app is good. When I am on home screen and push send button, I can see last call and when I push this button again, the last phone number is begin calling. This behaviour ChrBeck ROM don't have.

OT:
I saw HTC Touch Cruise (my friend have it) with mod ROM from Diamond and this ROM has in Start -> Programs 4 icons side by side. Our ROM have only 3. How it is possible? Because resolution is the same. And icon of E and G etc. is different too.

The point is, that cooked ROM for HTC Touch Cruise have different icons a sizes.
I mean, when you go to Programs on Start you can see icons in matrix ok? Every line is 3 icons on Charmer ROM. But on Cruise is 4 icons per line.

I'll answer your question: The 4 Icons can be done with changing Icons and the .exe for Programms. Thats the normal way. The G and E icons are done by a dll. There are people that know how to change these dlls. The can make the icons differnt.

But i think ive found a bug: If I set the Phone quiet, only vibrating on htc home or with the key on the left side its vibrating and the sign on top of the display is going to vibration. Everything works fine, but if i start any application the sign goes to loud and it is set on loud, too... but there is no noise if a call comes in and it does not vibrate after..

I used PocketCM keyboard, but this diamnod I like more.

The diamond keyboard is so slow cause it is written for cpus with are faster. And Manilla 2D is the same Problem. I tested it before and it was slow buggy and worked only with hard modifications on TouchFlow.

With the flashing method used for WM6.1 Charmer there can't be any bootloader or something like that. That is not really possible.

I had installed the rom from ridingshark.functioned well .
suddenly functioned usb no more and akku loaded no more.
akku was OK, externally loaded.
then I have installed official wm5 rom, however, went only about bootloader modus. unfortunately, usb had no function.
then I wanted to install your wm6 rom, but upgrade_rom.bat does not loaded. how can I install it, nevertheless? i have no software found, which functions with bootloader modus.

I installed this rom. Good Work! I really like it.

But I have some Problems with it. This rom also has some issues with the .net CF 3.5. When I tried to run some .net Programs (e.g Call Firewall or Touch Settings) the application crashes and states it can not find the PocketOutloook library or a dependency. Is there someone else who has these problems?

I also tried to reinstall .net cf 3.5 but it always fails to install...

Hold down the camera hardware button, and press the soft reset with your stylus and wait few seconds then remove the stylus, release the camera button when you see the 3 rows of colours indicating you are in bootloader mode.

i have made a hardreset.

i have press camera + record and resetkey.

but nothing happens! the display does not show the change to make a hard reset :(

on the display just show :

SPL 1.12.0000
GSM 01.12.20
OS 6.1.0.0

that is. after 10 minutes i replace the battery.

If I not mistaken, the prerequisite of WM6 ROM is 2.0 or greather IPL ROM...

Cyberdel's WM6.1 is only in German, because I already released a english one and he wanted a German one. But mine is looking nearly the same way and is in english.

Is there any way to put the font size back to normal? It's so small and hard to read.. changing the fontsize through Einstellungen > Bildschirm does only change the size of the Text in SMS. But the titlebar and the menus in almost all programs still have textsize of approx. 8 or 9.

to change the font to normal, tahoma, try to install the cab attached!

If this don't work or you won't install the cab go in the registry and delete:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\FontAlias]

You must delete the key FontAlias complete, then you must wait one minute, soft-reset and voila tahoma is back ;)

Thanks for the advise, but I already disabled the font myself. But I couldn't change the fontsize on the taskbar or the softkeys (on today screen) as well as the phone application shows the dialed number in fontsize 6 oder 7.. isn't there any registry key to modify the fonts to appear a bit larger?

I mean, my device looks like it's a zoomed-out VGA-Screen, compared to WM2003SE before. Or is this normal?

What I've already tried is modifying the HT-Value of HKLM\System\GWE\Menu\BarFnt and PopFnt as well as HKLM\System\GDI\Sysfnt. But they seem to change only a part of all fonts used by Windows. I made two screenshots, perhaps it appears clearer then:

Hi budy it's a long time that i edited these but play with "Wt" and "Ht" values
in these keys. it's also size of popup menus

please, I need quick help. Received an mdac2 with WM6.0 where active sync didn't work. Then I saw this version here with 6.1 and diamond look and flshed it. After a hard reset nothing is working anymore. I get the T-mobile start screen with new OS version but it doesn't start.
Another hard reset doesn't bring me to bootloader modus, and the mdac2 cannot communicate with my PC anymore, so I cannot flash it back to WM5 either. What can I do to get active sync or just USB connection working?
Is there a format option or anything?

If it don't load? try to do Soft Reset (on my device it works)/ If it won't change anything, go to your PC, open official WM5 ROM. Then you should enter Bootloader Mode (read there http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Charmer - on the bottom:) ) and connect your device to PC and RUN Upgrade ROM utility/ Everything is OK!

And I have a question to cyberdel - with your ROMs after 2 or 3 weeks some(like dictionary or pocket alarm) programs dont work on Storage Card and Activesync turns on everytime...
How can I solve this problems?
