Newest word is Sprint will release the Diamond on September 2nd with the name Victor and the Touch Pro will go a month later as the Herman.
Some interesting facts:
Both Sprint iterations will have more then double the RAM of Verizon versions, 256 vs. 128.
Sprints Pro will have an accelerometer while the Verizon version will not.
The Pro will have 512 ROM verses the Diamond's 256 ROM.

Interesting info. This goes to prove that in fact the hardware is NOT identical in all phones of a specific model, which goes against what many people here have said about the Diamond.

I would be to disagree there. The Sprint version gets the better ram the Raphael has with 4gb of built in memory, but the Verizon version just get ram the current Diamond has but it gets a microsd card slot which goes up to 32gb of space at this point in time. I dunno I rather have more space over a slight increase in speed and increase in ram.

Yeah if I had one wish for a feature to be added to the Diamond it would be for it to have a card slot. This Verizon version does it. Too bad I'd rather have my private parts eaten off by rabid wolves than have anything to do with Verizon or Sprint.

Kind of a mystery why HTC or Verizon would take away the accelerometer. I dunno I have had more luck with Verizon than AT&T.

Verizon has way better coverage that AT&T & Sprint in my area.
If those specs are true from Phonearena, I would pass on better coverage and have a solid/full featured phone.
Verizon version of the Touch Pro is slower, less RAM, no accelerometer.
I'm a power user and I need processing power and memory, but I also know that developers will be incorporating the accelerometer in their software (ie iPhone). Verizon has no business sense and their phones are crippled (BT profiles, etc). I'm leaving them for Sprint or AT&T, whoever offers the Touch Pro first.

My Samsung i760 isn't crippled at all in terms of bluetooth, and neither is my sister Moto Q9c and my friends Touch. What is ISM? Because the slower Qualcom chip has 64mb ism while the faster has only 32mb ism.

I read Telus is selling the Diamond(not sure if it is 4gb model or sd slot model) for $150 on a three year contract and $350 for a two year.
