hi,
me being me was messing around with my htc alpine i dont know what ive done but now the imei is apparently 00000000000 you get the drift.is there any way in which i can restore this.please tell me how as i like this phone.

Did you try a factory / hard reset. :rolleyes:

or maybe because there's usually only one guest viewing the alpine forum at any given period of time, so, instead of waiting in frustration, he becomes desperate and posts the thread into a very popular section of the forum :rolleyes:

Well, I reckon take it back to the store you bought it at and get them to fix it.

i cant ive voided the warrenty because ive flashed it with an uptodate un branded firmware

I'm no specialist, but I was the impression that IMEI was hardcoded and cannot be changed?

nope imei is stored in the eeprom of all phones if you know how to access that you can change it

All IMEI numbers are regulated and specific to a device...its illegal to tamper with them !
