Setting up the network manually?

I just installed Papa's ROM, SMS and Phone are working.
Anything to do with my data is not.

I have read about using the NetworkWizard.cab, but I also read that you can set it up manually. How do I do this, or can somebody point me to a how-to guide?!

First off, share with us which carrier you would like to set up with.
T-Mobile? AT&T?
