I'd like to assign my Tom-Tom GPS software to the GPS hardware button.

However the GPS software is on my storage card and it does not appear in the list of programs in the drop down list for allocation to hardware buttons.

Have searched for an answers but didn't find anything.

Suggested solutions welcome. Thank You.

Hi,

Try this out: Connect your PPC with Active Sync to your PC an take a lock in /windows/start menu/ and take a lock at the .ink files. You just have to make a new one and edit the content.

Thatīs it ;)

Thanks for your reply soololi.

No lnk file in my start menu so if you can assist in coaching me how to create a new lnk file I'd appreciate it.

Then..

How do I get the lnk file to show up in the drop down list of available applications to assign to a hardware button?

go to file explorer, press and hold the application you want, when pop-up menu appears click copy
go to windows>start menu>programs, and long press on empty space in the folder, when pop-up menu appears press paste shortcut

additionally if you want you can rename the shortcut

(you can also click "menu" in bottom right corner instead of long pressing and getting pop-up menu)
