FIRST TIME ! sorry in advance !

I need Help ! I just got HTC Diamond- but it's carrier is Airtel . I got Tmobile USA ! How can i upgrade ROM -1.37.720.2 Radio Version1.00.25.03 protocol version 52.26a.25.09g To New ROM 1.93 ? is there Anyway to get AIRTEL SOFTWARE OUT ! I want HTC ONLY ! I try getting the ROM upgrade from HTC.com not availble for my HTC Diamond 3490 specs are the same as Diamond 3700P the only thing it doesn't have is the Camera in the front only in the back 3.2 auto focus !

or search the threads for any 2g compatible rom. flashing rom is easy but not for newbies.

i have heard radio version 1.00.25.xx unlocks CID and then u can flash any rom. first confirm then try.

Airtel lock i m not sure will go or not.

The 3490 version is a 2G Version. First you have to sim unlock, if you want to use any other network

Second If you want to upgrade a new rom to diamond 2G , flash the radio rom to 1.00.25.5
You cannot upgrade to any htc original roms which are distributed for 3700. But you can upgrade to a cooked rom. the latest official 1.93 installs but hangs on customization screen

I've a 2G diamond, so here are the steps i followed.

1st step - get your sim unlock - chepeast is pay Olipro http://hpcmonex.net/olipro/diamondunlocker.php

2nd step - put hard sspl (Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip (1.92 MB, 17317 views)-> goto http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400950 and download the first one and install it

3rd step - download radio Radio v1.00.25.05 and flash it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407956

You're done you have a unlocked phone working with 850 Mhz.

4th step (optional) - download the elite 2.0 rom and flash it. It's faster than the airtel crap.
