My 6955 had an accident at work while sitting on an industrial battery. Some pressure was exerted on the bezel below the screen and caused the screen to be damaged. I ordered a new lcd and installed. I don't see anything on the screen, it lights up the color grey. I did a hard reset, I hear the " brinnng" chirp upon boot? I sync'd the unit thru cradle and can see the os files in the rom mem. The phone works, the buttons light.
Could something have been damaged from the magnetic given off the battery( acid filled).
I'm really at a loss on how to proceed from this.
I rechecked the screen install at least 12 times, the ribbon cable is in securely and I handled it gently. I guess it could have been defective to begin with ...was shipped to me in an anti static bag from US distributor.
Could the bootloader be corrupt..lcd drivers?
suggestions welcome.
