Any one know if T-Mobile are going to release an update for their MDA?
If I use the Vodafone ROM, would connection settings automatically set to T-Mobile or default to Vodafone's?

does it work on htc?
Yes will work on HTC but will have Vodafone Branding on it. Which I personally think is great compared to the HTC Black and Grey

Yes the defaults would be Vodafone and not T Mobile, but thats not a problem you can change it.
I am actually on O2 and have a Vodafone HTC Diamond, I just changed the wap setting etc to O2 and it works a treat.

My MDA set these settings automatically. I would not have a clue what to set or where to begin!
Is there a CAB file that can do this? It would be real useful to have a cab file for each of the main UK networks.:)
The people who have updated to this ROM, whats the battery life like? Better, worse or same?
Also does anyone have a Vodafone HTC TD User Manual so that we can see what the Voda foftware looks like and contains?

Just answered my own question.. yes it does install fine.
Looks like they've nicked Duttys Rom. The animations have gone on TF3D. The A to Z scroll has been added on the weather app. Speaking of which the author of this spells my town as Baskingtoke instead of Basingstoke, no big deal but always gets a larf when someone sees it. Is there a way of editing this?
Radio ROM is 1.00.25.05

Radio ROM is 1.00.25.05
Installed the update last night, Radio hasn't changed and still is 1.00.25.03. Not happy that Voda haven't updated the Radio
Will post angry message on Voda's forum, once it starts working again :)
On a positive note, the update has increased the general speed of the TD.

Its probably a bit early to ask, but in your opinion, has the battery life improved? Also is it a VODA TD that you updated or another (Orange TD or T-Mobile MDA C4)

My TD is a Voda one and I haven't noticed improvement in battery life, still as shabby as it was before :( if they had included a newer Radio it may have improved it slightly, have left message on Voda board to ask why they didn't update the Radio, but they have not replied to it yet.
As for unique feature, I've not used an offical HTC Diamond so not really sure on the differences, they is probably some apps that have been removed on the Voda one. Voda does have the SatNav on it though, which is quite good and defo less hassle than trying to get TTN6/7 or IGO to work lol.

Hi,
i am with vodafone UK and i currently have the 1.37 ROM. i am thinking of updating to a new rom. I know of the one on the voda website...just wondering if it is possible to use any of the other ROM's (non official) available or will my phone be wrecked by doing this.

I have a voda uk diamond and have flashed firstly to the latest voda official rom and then as i wanted to see what all the guys on here were talking about re speed etc i flashed the unsigned hard spl from olinex and then the full rom from swiftbl v 6.2 and radio .07, i have absolutely no problems the phone is ultra fast and all voda options still work i.e satnav ( tho make sure you save the downloaded sat nav cab file to the internal memory not the main memory).. i am and was a total noob to this but all the help threads on here make it very easy so i would say go for it the improvements are incredible and it makes the phone feel brand new every time

i did with no problems i have tried most of the roms and like swiftbl the best for me but after my first attempt with another rom i didn`t like the results and my phone wasn`t acting properly so i just re ran the official voda rom upgrade and it resets everything back to the original state.

cheers,
i know this may be a stupid question, but is my warranty void by doing any ROM updates? ive never done this before and ive read about phones being bricked if something goes wrong...if that were to happen, what would be the situation if i took the phone back to voda?
