Downgread Bootloader Procedure

==> Prepare your Memory card Formated to FAT32 and place EBOOT file in d card
and enter bootloader mode by pressing "_" "_" + softreset and leave it it restarts
automatically after 30 seconds......to check if it is changed redoo step 1 u can see BL 1.0.1
at the bottem RIGHT so nw time to Flash ur device Follow d below steps ..!!


[U]PC Flashing Procedure :

1. Enter BootLoader menu [pressing "_"""_"+ Reset button"]
u will enter Bootloader mode with a white baground and a HP LOGO
2. Connect ur iPAQ rw6828 to PC using USB cable
3. Click Akilis_Beta_BL_1.0.1.exe and give the path c:\windows\temp ""[Remember flashing should b done in c:\windows\temp ]""
3. Run "Device Software Update Utility.exe"
present in "Akilis_Beta_BL_1.0.1" folder select OS only
4. After flashing Extract ExtRom.rar and past it in ur ROOT folder..and soft rest
if still problems hard reset

Garmin's ROM may have autoinstall preinstalled. Just put the the extrom.cab in the storage card\cabs. It will be fine.

aii tried it its nt getting installed so aii extracted it as rar file so it ll b easy so people wont get confused........an hav troubles to install dat cab..........and the way aii hav explained is understable by people......

mm dats nt a Bug wat u do is after u press power button and softreset u need to press the tow buttons above the red button and the green button.....

Personally I felt whether you want to clasify your ROM clean or not. If clean let it be SMS threading by default. There are apps out there that can turn it off.

Again personally I felt it is neat able to group all SMS together & still there is an option to selective delete SMSes from the thread.

well the radio not work but because the rw6815 don't have the radio inside so it isn't a problem of your rom instead the camera doesn't work but all the other applications are ok

Good work! been using a for a few days now. Blue tooth is good (no feed back issues like I had with the other 6.1 cooked rom). My only suggestion is that you include a battery monitor like that included with NHOCBANME's cooked rom.

Other than that I like your work - keep it up!!!!!

The text in the calculator "screen" is grey on a black background - very hard to read. See attached image.

I was thinking that the fonts used in calc may be set in the registry somewhere, but I have not found that section of the registry yet. But I have not looked very hard either :p

its not the problem with my ROM.....taht problem is ur..always b4 flashaing ur fone....u hav to formate ur MMC to FAT32 then place the nb0 dun wry ur IPAQ is not dead......wat u need to do is.....remove ur batter.....hold the two buttons "_""_" and put the battery...dont remove...the buttons..keep pressing......simultaniously press power button hold fer 10 seconds the phone goes into bootloader mode.....nw start flashing by PC method connect the DEvice to pc....run device update.......select OS if u hav downloaded EXTROM place it in c:\windows\temp and run ur device Update from c:\windows:\temp....... then OS=EXTROM....der u go ....:D:D

u will enter Bootloader mode with a white baground and a HP LOGO
2. Connect ur iPAQ rw6828 to PC using USB cable
3. Click Akilis_Beta_BL_1.0.1.exe and give the path c:\windows\temp ""[Remember flashing should b done in c:\windows\temp ]""
3. Run "Device Software Update Utility.exe"
present in "Akilis_Beta_BL_1.0.1" folder select OS only
4. After flashing Extract ExtRom.rar and past it in ur ROOT folder..and soft rest
if still problems hard reset

1. sometimes on soft reset screen is shifted to the right on boot
2. can't seem to flash another ROM besides yours, not even downgrade to WM5
3. can't seem to use my n70 as a dial up modem with your ROm even after registry tweek (no problem with it with other ROms)
4. Phone hangs when i use the camera

My question is that my iPAQ 6815 defaults itself to minimum backlight level everytime it comes out of standby.

If I go to start, settings, backlight, the slider is set at my last level for example 6. If I tap it, the backlight level corrects itself but goes back to minimum level after standby.

I have switched on and off the backlight time limits and the power settings but it continues to go back to minimum.

I have earlier update with Ver2.02.01b_byNHOCBANME i was very happy with it but bt handsfree didnt worked so i tried 6828-WM61-20080920-b165.tarminisd then i couldnt update back i changed bl to HP BL1.0.1 with out success i think my devise is fucked up... i appreciate if some one can help me

Comparisons between Akilis ROM and helloword1 ROM:
The plus:
1. Akilis ROM is more light, faster than helloworld1 ROM. I really like HTC Home Plugin for shortcut of programs. Helloworld1 ROM is based on Atom ROM, but your ROM is based on HTC ROM. HTC ROM is popular for faster ROM :-D
2. I really like the Music Player, it is more light than Original Windows Media Player on HP 6828
3. The Start Menu is simple and categorized, I really like the simplicity.

The minus:
1. In helloworld1 ROM there is IPAQ Audio. Would you please to add IPAQ Audio on Akilis ROM? I really enjoyed if it can.
2. Standard FM Radio (in helloworld1) is better than Akilis ROM. Akilis FM Radio sometimes slow response, for example to switch next channel, the response is too slow. Original FM Radio HP RW6828 (helloworld1) is very good response.
3. In helloworld1 ROM the System Information is more detail. I hope you add more detail on Akilis ROM too.
4. There is no Microsoft OneNote in Akilis ROM. Maybe you can add?
5. Helloworld1 ROM is working for GPRS Comm Manager. But in Akilis ROM, Data Connection on Comm Manager not working. Maybe you can improve this?

If really hope you can change this better. :-D

and i dun hav much funds to ge a new 1 so i retired from XDA developing!!!!!
and HP iPAQ audio is not working gud with dis ROM i recommend u to use SRS WOW HD fer my ROM u can download iot from my download section!!!!

The cam doesent work for me either! and its a bit wierd when i show people that i know the cool upgrade and everything else and the cam doesen't work and lags the phone totaly! I love your OS mod but its a pain not to have the cam work... I Have tried both patches... Do you have any other advice for us or could you somehow change the cab so we can try it please? I have a rw6815 THX a lot Alex from greece.
