Im a bit of a noob with flashing ROM's etc. Have checked through the Wiki and through forums and had no luck.

Is there any way to flash Hard SPL from an SD card? I think I have a bad USB port on my TyTN II and cant get it synched with WMDC :(

ya man jockyw is still workin on this, up to last week, weher he posted the news in a very similar thread..

still i cant imagine how will this work.. hardspl without and supporting os.. the only way to do it is to load a temporarily os to do it.. well we will look for jockyw's invention because this will be the ultimate tool to flashing

There is a new method been developed which does not require a Windows PC to flash hard SPL, but it is not ready yet - I'll catch up with the developer when I'm at home... :D

This new method should work on all HTC devices BTW. The method jocky was working on (fixing the SoftSPL to read from the SD) would have only worked on the Kaiser (a seperate fix would have been needed for the Artemis).

Thanks
Dave

I missed this reply, you must have beat me to the punch :)

This method only works for upgrading Hard SPL via the SD card. You still need USB to get Hard SPL on there in the first place.

I have tried to get Hard SPL on my Tilt but it gets to Progress Bar and stays at 0%. Not sure how to make it progress?

Any updates to this yet? I am hoping this might be a possible solution to the flash issues described in this thread:

No sorry, I don't think much is been done with the project, last time I spoke the authors were keeping it out of the public eye.
