3G No internet! help

ok i'm using build 19700.dutty"s wm6.1. i have at&t. when i get 3g network internet won't work. nutthin will connect. i'm a lil new at this so don't flame me. but is there some settings that i have to change or wat. it sux cus i live in upstate ny and i have no problem there. but i work in nj closer to the city and i can't use the internet there. i wanna keep 6.1 cus it is def better. but that is my only issue. help

Does the internet work when you are on Edge? Or is your house also in a 3G service area, and the internet only doesn't work in good ol' NJ?

I my state (Oregon) it used to be that when I was In my home town, 3G and Edge would work great. But If I drove an Hour south to the State Capitol Neither would work.

Then I ungraded to the latest ROM and I've been removing the Proxy. Everything seems to work ok now.

Continuing this train of thought...

Did the internet work in NJ before upgrading to WM 6.1? AT&T has this nasty habit of using several different frequencies for it's 3G network, and a 6.1 radio might have issues with the frequency running in NJ.

yea internet worked before i upgraded. and there is no 3g where i live so i think it has to do with that. i'm not sure but i haven't been able to figure it out i would hate to downgrade but so far it looks like i'm gonna have to if i can't figure this out

Do you configure your AT&T settings manually, or using HTC connection setup?

I have the same problem. When i got a 3G the internet connection drops. But i can make video calls. :(
