Ok so i sat on my Tilt and busted my LCD. Me and my fat A$$!! I then went on eBay and bought a replacement for 40$, get it a few days later and start the operation. Following along precisely with a picture tutorial on how to disassemble, put in the new LCD and start the reassembly. I soon realize that the ribbon cable connector on the new LCD is just slightly outta place compared to the old one. After managing to get it on and having difficulty reassembling my Tilt,I insert the battery and the screen actually works...for about 10 seconds.... so i disassemble and reassemble a few more times trying to fix it and no luck. I then read about sub-par lcd's from eBay causing glitches and weird things to happen. I then proceed to kick my self in the a$$ numerous times. I have contacted the seller and he agreed to replace it. My question being.. has anyone had success with a replacement LCD from Ebay? if so who was the seller? And do any of the almighty here have any words of wisdom for a feeble tilt owner such as myself?

Yea I have words of wisdom, pay $hit get $hit.

That's what happens when you "buy it now" the cheapest screen on eBay

I can only add this since I have not "yet" had to replace a tilt screen. I have however replaced others including a T-Mobile Dash screen.

If you have push tabs on the socket for the ribbon cable - make sure they are pushed in and secure. I "did not" do this the first time I installed the Dash LCD and got pretty much the same results you spoke of for the Tilt. Upon dissassembly/reassembly - I discovered that the tabs were not down and secure. Sevured them and I was up and running!

Hope it helps you out.

i actually think it is more sensitive than the original screen.
