Hey, if my phone is unlocked with hardspl already. would I be able to dload that version and install it? Since technically it is a att tilt. Or does the rom need to be "cooked" in some way before I can install it? For one thing, I don't see a 1.65.16.10 radio listed on the radio page. Maybe it'll work better in the states?

The AT&T way was is point and click, if your already on AT&T Tilt, not Kaiser. Without doing the spl stuff.

We won't know that until after someone flashes it, it is possible, but until the rom is actually downloaded that's purely speculative.

Well the radio from hell is a radio that once flashed would not let anyone who was not security unlocked flash any other radios. You could have looked up "radio from hell" and learned all that yourself but i thought i'd save you the trouble.

no, I would not even try to flash the radio from hell to save yourself a lot of time, I would just extract the ROM out of the NBH file, then put it together using HTC Rom Tool, then flash it to your device.

They are saying over on the AT&T forums that HTC is reporting the ROM should be available on Monday the 18th.

The link is correct, the the file is still the 6.0 version. From the email I got from HTC, they are "aware" of the problem and are "working" on correcting it, but, as with other posts, I doubt it will be live until Monday at the earliest.

Yeah, my bad - it was late at night, my Kaiser had died from corruption anyway so I was ecstatic to find the new link. I was just as disappointed as everyone else to find that the url was bad.

Cool - exactly what I've been looking for. Been googling and searching on xda-dev for something like this for over 24 hours since my Tilt froze. Beta or not, the 3.55.502.1 is working for me. VSbenchmark2007 gave me scores of 1538 running off batteries (fresh install) and 1536 with the charger plugged in - so there! We'll see what else pops up over the next week - at least now I don't need to keep going back to the official download site to check on availability. Wow - I can actually be productive this next few days? Whoa....

I would like 6.1, but have yet to flash anything on it. (ATT Tilt) I wouldnt mind a custom 6.1 rom, but dont know where to start. Everyone talks about hardspl like you know what it means.. I dont really have the 2 hours to study, and understand it.

Follow the directions in the posts listed at the wiki & you should be able to dump the ROM & then put it back together as an NBH file.

Have you regional rep check the version info under settings and post it back here for us and i'm sure if it's the one everyone is looking for...they'll be beating down your door. The thing is...they did release some tilts a while back with 6.1 (older version). So most likely he has the old 6.1 and not the one that is, so called, being advertised on the site that we are being teased with.

So.... i tried to flash the rom and i got as far as where it determined the old ROM and then i clicked update. Now my tilt has the RGB screen, and then it said that there was an error 206 with the connection and that the install was terminated. I can't get it started up again! Can some one help me please?

Yes they did, there's actually two different radios included 1.65.21.18 (which is what you get when you flash) and 1.65.21.14 (which is a test radio included), neither of which are the radio from hell :)

Very nice! :D It scared me for a bit after reading the "radio from hell thread" i just got my tilt so still learning all the do's and dont's.. Thanks again for conforming that.;)

Well if you really want to set your mind at ease, then i recommend you security unlock your phone. That way even the radio from hell isn't that scary to you.

Does anyone know if all the old Windows Mobile 6.0 software is compatible with the new 6.1 ROM?

For example, I have the HTC Home Customizer, HTC album, audio manager, etc.. (I know they already have their version of the HTC Home so I probably won't be able to use the one I have).

I just want to make sure I can still have the same programs/settings on my phone after I make the update.

Has anyone who has upgraded to the new ROM noticed how fast the battery drains now? It takes mine about 3 hours to drain without making any calls, if I am lucky that is, I need to carry an electrical outlet around with me now. :(

It has all the other tabs except for the music. Is there a way to get it back?

READ first all the threads of flashing a new ROM. You bumped this post up for NO freaking reason. There are lots of help threads. Start there.
Basic things to know:
1. Flash SoftSPL on Main Mem of device... learn how to do that First .
2. Flash hardSPL on Device
3. CID unlock your device so you are able to flash any ROM in the future.
