I flashed using the telus ROM. This is the best radio yet for ME. Been using it all day and I get locks in under 15 seconds regardless. For me this locks much more consistantly than any other radio to include .50.
This Rocks
BTW: Im running DCD 3.2.5 with this radio.

Yes, the gps locks are pretty great with this radio. I came from 3.42.50 too, and prefer this one so far..

I still cant get it to NOT lock. This is crazy. I also applied the Titan GPS fix as well.

I think the radios for these two devices are compatible, but I'm not sure..
I know that the 3.42.50 radio that came from the Vogue works on the Titan.

Thats a question for GC14 but I would have to say NO, DONT TRY IT. In his post about radio .50 he said he had to "port" which means some sort of changes were needed.

Idk if they are 100% compatible, but 3.42.50 DID indeed come from a Vogue ROM, I'm not sure what all, if anything, was modified.
Either way, this appears to be an 'official' update.
Someone should see if they can flash this via USB or not. I am curious and have a theory about RUU flashing via USB.

Is the bluetooth firmware enchanced with each radio update typically. I keep thinking one of these days its going to work with the nissan/infiniti navigation bluetooth systems, since the 6700 worked just fine.
Is this completely out of the questions with a radio rom update or is this moreso something broke in the OS.
Its a handshaking issue that is well documented with the 6800/titan/mogul and these nav systems with BT.
Zero support from nissan / htc on the subject.
When i think radio I think 4 parts.
CDMA+BT+WIFI+GPS
Am i correct?

AFAIK you are correct. There is indeed a difference in the BT performance between the radios. I can tell the difference just by using my BT headset. Some radios were fine, others had poor range, poor audio quality, or both. Of course the radio is only half of the equation, the BT stack in the CE rom makes a difference too.

this radio is by far the best one out yet...
i have not encountered any problems and my gps locks at 5seconds now!!! thats right it only took 5 seconds to lock right after a fresh flash....all previous radios including .50 take at least 8 seconds for me. i'm with sprint btw

This is a SUPERIOR radio to 3.42.50. I get locks from cold start in TEN SECONDS, and 5 second locks or less from warm-hot starts.
and im on VERIZON!!!!
Locks from indoors have jumped all the way down to 30 seconds or less, even got a lock in my basement. By far the best radio. I wonder why few people are paying attention to it?

What's your theory?
my theory is that these newer radios will only flash once as an 'unofficial' radio and then requires you to flash via microsd after that (unless u revert SPL of course)
however, since this is an official radio, i was wondering if it would flash via RUU since it came from an official release. (not talking about flashing the entire Telus release via USB, but rather stripping out the radio, makign the RUU like I did on my site tutorial, and then flashing the radio via that signed NB(H) file)

Is this radio actually better than the .50?
Has anyone done any extensive testing?

I would say the answers are "inconclusive" and "no". All I can find is anecdotal evidence such as "ZOMG, this radio rulez!" and ".40 for prez!".

Didn't you just post two hours ago here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2550191&postcount=13)that...
I went from .50 to .40 for a day and I see no difference at all.
Which is it?

I have done some more testing here and see a little longer lock times with this radio then the .50. It is a clear sunny day with no obstructions and It was definitely quicker with the .50.
Earlier I was driving up the highway and didn't seem to have a difference, guess I am just too impatient.
Maybe I just need to stop counting seconds and be glad it works at all.

what kind of times are you getting now? and what process are you using to get your lock?

I am getting closer to 60 seconds now where on the .50 I was averaging around 30 seconds.
I am just opening Google Maps - Menu - Use GPS.

hey guys... kinda new to flashing and ROMS etc... is there a tutorial anywhere on here to help a n00b? i'm looking to get a better signal overall in addition to a faster GPS lock... i'm assuming this radio ROM would do the trick? and more importantly, hopefully none of this requires a hard reset
thanks

Read the Titan Recent Tutorial (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=TitanRecentHome) if you are unfamiliar with flashing.

As long as you flash from your SD card, a radio does not require a hard reset. If you have to flash via USB then it will hard reset at the end. I highly recommend flashing via SD.
Card must be 2gb or less and not a SDHC card. Most cards 2g and under are SD. Must be formatted for FAT32.
Do a Power-Camera-Reset button press and it will take you to the bootloader, if the card is already inserted it will recognize and read the file, and then prompt you to press power to flash.

thanks for the helpful directions. I followed them and and its sits in the tri color screen with the word serial in the bottom white part. When i first press the power-camera-reset combination it acts like it wants to load something for a half second and then sits on the tri color screen. anybody else have this problem? i'm using SPL-2.47 by the way

you doing SD flashing? it has to do with the SD card you are using. some of the cheap ones dont format correctly on certain computers (Dell card reader). i have a cheap one and i got it to work by formatting it with another card reader. hope that helps.

yes i know. im saying that the actual card reader you use to format the card can make it not work. for example, when i formatted it using my dell card reader i had the same problems as you. when i formatted the card using another card reader, everything worked perfectly.

THANK YOU! I had a 2GB SD in and it must not have been formatted for FAT32. I tried over and over to get it to flash and had it look like it wanted to for 1/2 sec then say no valid files found.
I pulled my spare 512 that came w/the phone, put it in an "el cheapo" adapter, formatted it, dropped the TITAIMG.nbh file on, popped it in my phone, did the power+camera+reset, and it found it, flashed, and I'm good to go! Thanks for the additional info, once again.
